This place is absolutely wonderful. The prices are reasonable, the portions are very generous, the staff have always been super friendly, and most importantly the food is great. They have daily and monthly specials in addition to the regular menu, so check those out, and they always have a nice selection of pie... which brings us to pie. Try the pie. Even if youre full, make room or get a slice to go. Oh, and if you like salad, try it with the French dressing. They make their own, and its very tasty!

No-contest, The Best old school family-friendly corner diner in the twin cities. The food looks, smells and tastes homemade because it typically is. The service is quick, friendly and very professional - and it says something that theyve had the same servers for umpteen years running. Amazing selection of pies, daily and monthly specials and a menu with literally something for everyone. Prices are fair and very affordable, particularly in light of the excellent food quality.

I ordered the Corned Beef Hash and its alright. Nothing too special, at least its not too salty. Im giving it a 4-stars because I love this type of breakfast place, family owned and theyre still around after all this time! Eventhough I ordered a so-so breakfast and Ive only been there 1 time, theyre doing something right and that counts for a good review. They were 90% packed at 10:30 a.m. Service was fast, efficient, polite.

I have been going here for years- first as a kid with my parents, and now with my own kids... Love it. Great comfort food, friendly service, tons of choices. The kids pancakes are made into a teddy bear shape:) Their homemade french dressing is awesome (and they sell it too)! I like it for every meal, but especially breakfast- huge portions cooked just the way you want...yum.

Shhhhh. ! Dont tell anyone about this place. ... the food is awesome and plentiful, the staff is wonderful, the prices very reasonable. Nice addition to the specials menu is the northern pike.... call first for available days. Corned beef and cabbage. .. yum !

The straight bomb dignity of diners in the twin cities! The onion rings, walleye, and cod are sheer perfection. Other family members swear by the fried chicken and Swedish meatballs. Its all great.

Hidden gem. Get their early, small diner and a line for seats was forming around 10AM. Had the Lumberjack Breakfast. Awesome portions and an unbelievable amount of gravy.
