I used to go here regularly when they first opened and then I went on a hiatus for a bit and I am not sure why. The happy hour specials are very good here. It is a neat, friendly environment. This is not a large place but the food is very good. They have an open kitchen so you can see that it is clean and the people making your food look clean and professional. They have updated the menu recently that I think adds more variety to the menu. I LOVE the Mexican Corn when it is in season. That is worth the trip on its own! See photos of my past visits to see what it looks like. They use fresh ingredients which makes you not feel guilty for eating out. I have went on a health kick losing about 85 pounds in the last 2 years and it is hard to find a place that serves realistic portions with healthy food done right. This is one of those places. You can taste the passion in the food when you eat it. I want to add that the house margarita that is on special for happy hour is good. you can easily have a couple. :) Edit: They only use fresh ingredients. They dont have a freezer or microwave and they freshly press tortillas in house.

One of our hidden go-to places for the family. We love the food and the service is generally pretty good. Ill admit, like any restaurant, weve had some not-so-good experiences there as well. It can get VERY crowded on a Friday or Saturday evening at dinner time understandably, but there isnt much space for people to wait, which ends up with people filing out the door or standing outside which can be a problem in bad or cold weather. We have had some inattentive servers at times no matter their age or experience and occasionally the food wasnt prepared to the standards that it usually is. But these experiences can happen at any restaurant and at any time. On the positive side, the service and food prep is generally pretty fast and we are usually pretty happy. We have recommended many people to come here and we just wished that they could expand somehow or move to a larger space still in Rosemount.

Very loud, and lots of kids. The salsa dish was dirty and when the server replaced it the 2nd one also had debris in it. In general the place seemed grimy, the silverware rolled in the napkin looked grubby, maybe even re-wrapped. Chicken Tortilla soup that was more of a thick tomato sauce than soup. There wasnt any chicken to speak of in my bowl of sauce/soup. Also, I would have appreciated to know that the cost of the margarita was $18.95 when I ordered. The server did a good job and the only thing I mentioned was that we needed a new salsa bowl. Perhaps the carafe of salsa shouldnt arrive nested in the container its poured in to. The gunk in the bowl seemed to come from the bottom of the salsa container, its nice presentation but dirty.

7/9/17. Just an update, great to see a restaurant that so consistently has good service and good food over the years . We just stopped in for lunch again with the family had a wonderful meal, and the special was excellent! Great food with a real flair! Much more then the standard Mexican restaurant, the food is very well done and nicely presented, service was ok and the prices very reasonable. We’ve been several times and this place is now one of our local favorites!!! If you like the hotter side, try the pepper relish. Fresh made and with a wonderful bite!

The did here used to be fantastic. Hands down one of the diamonds in an area full of fast food joints. Howevere, the last couple times we went here the food is different. The sauces are no longer flavorful, but target bland and lifeless. The sides of rice and beans used to taste fresh but now taste old and dry. The love that used to be here isnt here anymore. The chips are still great and fresh. My thought is money got tight and cost savings measures had to be taken which resulted in reduced quality.

A great Mexican (Tex-Mex really) meal out for the entire family that caters to all palates. The service was really excellent - personable and knowledgable - immediately jumping in to make sure the more traditional (less sweet) margarita I ordered was the right match for me. The food was great, though it didnt have as much heat as I personally like, but thats understandable given the region. The prices were very reasonable and all three generations of my family left very happy and stuffed.

Las Tortillas is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area! It is always busy during dinner hours, but I’ve never had to wait long for a table. They definitely could expand into a bigger location. The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. I love the open kitchen, and they make excellent food! My regular is the chicken fajitas, but they have a huge selection. Very authentic Mexican food. They also make great margaritas. Definitely worth checking out!

I had the barbacoa chimichanga and it was great. The fresh warm tortillas chips were tasty. The problem was I was freezing sitting under the ceiling fan, which the neighboring table agreed. I asked the waitress if they could turn down the fan and she said no because it would get too hot, even though the gal next to me agreed about being cold. Now I am sitting at home wrapped in a blanket trying to warm up.

Not a typical "american mexican" restaurant, although not so unique as to be anxiety inducing. Food is really, really solid. I really liked that the staff seem friendly and care about delivering good service and good food. Plating was nice, the food was consistently good (4 people had 4 different dishes and enjoyed them all), and the ingredients and choice of flavor combinations was really nice!

Always fantastic food - a unique take on Mexican cuisine. The staff is also very friendly. Living in Rosemount, this has become our go-to place for family lunches and dinners. Try the Puerco Verde or Salmon Salad. Both are excellent, along with many other dishes. You wont be disappointed. The only downside is it does get busy/crowded on weekend evenings...but that is to be expected.

The restaurant was clean, our server friendly and the food was great. The food is not your typical Mexican food you are used to, it is much more authentic. We ordered the mussels as a starter (appetizer), the mussels were nearly a meal in itself and only $10.99. If you havent tried Las Tortillas yet, make it your next meal out. You wont be disappointed.

Resonable prices, we had a fajita meal, off dinner menu, recommended by the waiter as one of their specialties, it was very good and fed 3 people plus kids. We did also eat a chimichanga, which was also pretty good. Overall, I would go back!. I think people were probably not ordering the right foods off of the menu.
