I really enjoyed the food here. Because it was our first time trying it out, we got a little bit of everything: St. Louis style ribs, brisket, and some broasted chicken wings. The ribs and brisket were smoked to PERFECTION! The meat was tender and juicy and very flavorful. The broasted wings were just right with a light, crispy crust, and juicy chicken on the inside. For sides we got collard greens, broasted potatoes, and cornbread - all three were VERY tasty. The potatoes were seasoned very well. The greens had just enough juice and lots of good flavor. The cornbread was sweet with little pieces of sweet corn in the batter. They give you a nice sized cornbread cake that goes VERY well with the greens. Finally, we tried the banana pudding. I found it a little runny for my tastes and there werent as many cookies as I like, but the flavor of the pudding was good. This is probably the only thing I wouldnt get again. The servers were just ok and I highly recommend checking your bag prior to leaving with your order, but I would definitely recommend this place for some excellent BBQ at reasonable prices served in large portions. Im fortunate that its not too far from my house!

I have gone here at least once a week for the past couple of months and today they lost a customer over 50 cents! I order the same thing either broasted wings or rib tips. I always get sauce on the side (BBQ with the tips and Ranch with the wings) but today she said she has to charge me for the sauce. Not extra sauce, any sauce! REALLY. Since I dont want dry food (and will not pay you $2 to toss my wings in sauce) I will spend my money elsewhere thank you very much! I know one customers $480 a year is nothing to you but if enough customers find this just ridiculous practice of charging for sauce (NOT EXTRA SAUCE) offensive you are really setting yourself up for failure.

When this place first opened up i only was willing to give a few stars. Now this place has serverly improved. The pricee and quanity is there along with how everything is presented. Service is typical speed for a good bbq place, everything seems to be made when ordered which makes the taste so good. Only thing i would suggest is the side portaion size. $3 for a few ouces of mac and cheese for example? Its but not that good. If the serving size was 50% more for same price i think that would be a good value. Will for sure come back and i do overall recommend this place for great bbq

We ordered 2 Brisket meals with 3 sides to go. The Brisket and seasoned broasted potatoes were very delicious. I didnt care for the dry well done Mac n Cheese though. The baked beans were great. They have great customer service. The cook was even very nice. I was disappointed in spending over 30 dollars for 2 take out meals and not getting any forks to use for my sides dishes. We ate our meals while on the road heading back home in Belleville but it was still worth the trip! I will be returning, but next time, I want my fork!!! Lol

Honestly when I walked into this store I was expecting a chain BBQ restaraunt, but this could not be farther from that. It is a homegrown restaraunt with owners that are damn proud of their meats. You want to eat here, it will blow your mind. It is the best BBQ on this side of town. There is nothing on the menu that you will regret eating. I wish I had more words to sell this place, because I literally left the store smiling because it tasted so good. Dont go to zekes. Dont go to slows. Go to Arkins, this man has perfected BBQ.

I came here on a date with my boyfriend and we had the best BBQ experience ever. They were out of a few stuff, but we understand because it was an hour to close. Im glad they were though because we had the best ribs ever. Everything was so good. The service was spectacular as well! When cashier explained they were out of stuff she was friendly, understanding, and apologetic about it. The rest of employees that were around us to always asked how everything was when they walked by. The staff was really nice. We plan to revisit.

Best ribs Ive had in Michigan. We just moved back to MI after living in Alabama for 5 years. These ribs are the real deal. My husband had a chance to talk to the owner and learned quite a bit about him. Owner studied BBQ for a few years before opening up his place. He knows his stuff. The sauce is good and spicy but its not needed at all. The rub is ssoo good, just touch of sweetness. The bark was awesome. Beans and brisket were good too. We live in Shelby twp and we will make the drive for this bbq joint.

I like the atmosphere....read about him in the paper and liked his story and figured I would give it a try. Too many bbq places are chains or just not very good. He has a great location and every time Ive been there Arkan is there and its obvious many of the employees are members of his family. I prefer that type of proprietorship. I have not been disappointed yet....3 trips...excellent each time.....brisket is outstanding!!!

Amazing! The food was so fresh, smoky and delicious. Best BBQ in this part of Michigan and believe me, weve tried it all! The customer service is also top notch. The owner sometimes cuts off a nice piece of brisket and brings it to you. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Seriously, you will not be disappointed. This is outstanding BBQ...and broasted chicken!

Used to be a family favorite until we had family dinner from this place last Thursday. My mom got such severe food poisoning from their chicken that she is currently in the hospital seeking treatment. We dearly hope everything is okay with her and will never be dining here again. We implore that no one else eats here and avoids finding themselves in the same situation.

The food is pretty good. The service has much to be desired. This place is slow slow slow. I waited nearly 45 minutes for a chicken dinner. This is time 3/3 where the service was notoriously slow. There really is no acceptable explanation for how long it takes to complete an order. There are others that do broasted chicken carry out much quicker.

Wow!! Amazing food! I placed a huge order for 12 staff all individual meals. It was done on time and nothing was wrong or missing! That never happens! I would recommend any and everyone to try this place out, you will be back. If your on a time crunch call your order ahead, it does take sometime as everything is fresh. Sooo good and soooo worth it

worse service i ever received. never wrote a review before but this is the first time based on the horrible experience. waited 30 minutes for a takeout order of 20 bucks. ended up getting a refund because they still werent even started on my order. will never go back!!!! they dont deserve my money with that kind of attitude towards their customers.

OMG OMG SEXY MEALS it is real southern bbq with amazingness drizzled on top collared greens amazing ,real baked beans, cream soda, homemafe cornbread. It was a bad day for me and this cheered me right up. My favorite bbq place ever and everythin is homemade nothin from a can. SPECTACULAR
