It was good, not my favorite bbq but i assure you it was decent food and they have a really cool interesting atmosphere and decor. if youre in the area and want bbq stop here because there isnt really any other bbq places for miles. Service was adequate, felt rushed a little even though it was not peak hours. Thats okay though, they were still polite and attentive. Menu has all your basic bbq needs and then some, and interestingly have some Mexican style influences on some of the dishes. I must admit i was not a huge fan of the sauces though, and for me that is huge at bbq joint. One had a sweet molasses taste which was too sweet for my taste, the others all varied but would of justliked one traditional style whether Texas style or whatever. Honestly for the sauces i would only give the joint 3.5 stars. I would like to go back and try other food options and who knows maybe the sauce will grow on me....also dont like seeing longbearded fellas in the kitchen working on the food without covering it. I know theyre awkward but you wear a hat to trap the hair on top of your head why not the hair that is hanging directly over the plates? Kind of off putting. One more complaint, the Silicon bowls that the sides were brought in seem to leech their flavor into the food, perhaps not food grade?

The salad I ordered from the menu sounded amazing - it supposedly had sweet potato, smoked chicken and avocado on it. It was honestly the WORST SALAD I have ever had in my entire life (and Ive had a lot). When it arrived, first of all, it was the size of a bread plate. Super tiny. Secondly, it was a pile of lettuce with a couple strips of chicken on it. When I asked the waiter about the sweet potato, he pointed to two TINY little orange shreds that looked like carrots and said yep, sweet potato. Then when I asked about the avocado, he started searching hard through the lettuce and said "Its on there ... Avocado is green." Um, YES, I know what avocado is, thank you very much. I dont understand why he couldnt have just brought me actual chunks of sweet potato and slices of avocado. The salad was $13 after all. Now I understand that this is a barbecue joint, however, I still think that if a restaurant puts an item on their menu, they should actually put some effort into making it good. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because the interior decorations are really amazing and my family said that their meals were pretty good. Otherwise, It was awful and so was the service and I wont be going back.

Stopped in with my 7-year-old for dinner last night. The childrens menu is awesome! Its not often you go out to eat and your rib loving child can get his own rib dinner with more than 1-2 dinky rib bones for a great price! His dinner came with 3 very meaty rib bones and a lot of yummy fries. He gave his dinner 100 stars he said! The ribs were meaty, tender, slid off the bones, no grizzle and the seasoning was out of this world. We loved it so much I had the waitress add a slab to go. For my meal I ordered a sampler of cubed brisked, pulled pork and 1/2 chicken with beans and mac-n-cheese so I could bring some home to my husband. The flavors were off the chart as well. The mac-n-cheese REALLY? Oh so good. ALl of the meats were tender and seasoned to perfection. None of them really needed any added BBQ sauce, but because were foodies we tried a little of each and we loved them all. I agree with my son 100 stars! Our waitress ( I wish I could remember her name) was so sweet and fun! The food came out quick too! Just an all-in-all YUM! The Hubby and I will definitely be having date nights in Lake Orion now! Thanks Bad Brads for venturing to Lake Orion! We are so happy to have you!!!!!

Having worked in the industry for a while I generally stay away from brand new restaurants for about a month. Since its right down the street from us I decided to give it a shot. Hesitantly, but you know, the boss. Came in, hour wait. I expected it and it was nice out so we put our name in the list. Five minutes later, two seats open at the bar. To be perfectly honest, my expectations were low being that they opened less than a week ago. Anything beyond mediocre would have been welcome. Well, they did their homework. No expense was spared in the building and decor. Staff is very well trained and is knowledgeable. Food came out quickly without feeling rushed. I dont drink, so I cant comment on that aspect but I will say, its nice that theyre not gimmicky like everyone else is doing. The emphasis is on the BBQ. We started with the BBQ sampler that comes with wings, candied bacon and ribs. Everything was great. Not a huge fan of the candied bacon but I just like good old regular bacon. I then ordered the the meat platter with since more ribs. Everything really is good. I feel like Im dragging on, so TL;DR, Go here. Its good.

First time in. In the industry. Not impressed. Walked in at 925. Nice greet by hosts. Sat at bar rail. 932...two ladies sit down at bar rail was told kitchen was closed. They left. We were able to order a carryout. Ordered the diablo sandwich. Wanted to sub out the pork for chicken..bartender said we couldnt do it. Came with homemade bbq chips...sandwich came out, looked small for 9.00! Bbq chips couldnt even eat. Way to salty. Told the bartender about them, she said thats how they make them. Never offered a diff side or chips with less salt. Sandwich tasted good. But was missing the red and green salsa and the spicy sour cream sauce. My mixed drink was good...and a good value. But if you order a specialty draft beer, be prepared to pay 9.00 for supposedly 24oz. Decor...beautiful, but way too busy. No wifi, and only 1 tv in bar. If you like to sit at the bar rail, be prepared to stare at liquor bottles. All in all...not planning any near future visits. Especially coming from someone who frequents restaurants and has been in the industry for over 20 years.

Our experience yesterday was the worst we ever had. We had a party of 5. They sat us in the booth. We were freezing cold. We told the waitress and she did nothing. We ordered a pig candy appetizer. It was cold when it came out, very greasy, and hard to chew. We ordered the big pig gig. It came out cold and all the ribs, chopped brisket, & fries where over cooked. The cornbread and potato salad was under done. We were still freezing cold and asked for a manager. She said she turned off the air. It still continued to blow out air. The manager gave us 20% off. We brought home the left overs, but 2 of the 5 members of the party got sick. We believe it was the ribs. We are throw out the leftovers, didnt want any one else sick or to get sick again. We are likely not going to come back. Use to go all the time when you first opened. Noticed it started to go down in quality and cooled air blowing at the booths. We were very unsatisfied by the quality and service.
