Food is great. Their attitude towards customers is absolutely ridiculous. We live in Bristol and make the 30 minute trip specifically for them and from the moment you walk in the door they act like you are inconveniencing them. They have their head so far stuck up their @$$ that the experience doesnt make the amazing food the memorable part of the experience. Weve been coming here for years but every time we say we arent coming back and this time we are serious. Ive never encountered a restaurant so hung up on themselves that they treated their customers like the ones providing the service. Its a real shame; this place could offer southern hospitality and great food and be the whole package but instead they treat their guests like trash. Go somewhere else and save yourself the heartache and disappoint when you realize they dont value your business or your hard earned dollar anymore than they do the grease on their floor. Sort it out, Bonefire, youre not nearly as good as you think you are.

Been going there for years, but wont be going back. Food is usually good and thats the only reason I kept going back. Owner and co-owner/managers attitude is infuriating. They dont care to make you wait. They dont care if you dont like something. They dont care to clean the place or make any repairs. They dont care to serve a dog off the bar. They dont care about the smelly gross bathrooms with holes in the wall and non-flushing urinals. They dont care about the gnats in the sauce bar and the dont care about the roaches running around. They dont care about the dirt and film all over everything. They dont care about the locals that have events and bring potential customers to town. Guess they wont care about this review, that Ill never be back or recommend them to anyone again. Hopefully one day someone will care, show some hospitality and clean the place up. Its just gross.

The service was great, and the food was amazing. Everything we had tasted great, and like a lot of BBQ places, they had a buffet of sauces to try! This place also has the distinction of having the only Memphis style sauce Ive really jived with! Some of the offer offerings were adventurous and tasty (the Blueberry Habanero was good, and the raspberry sauce was amazing), and others were traditional and rock solid. The sides were amazing as well, and they had great banana pudding! The service was what you would expect from a cozy place in the south, as warm and friendly as you could imagine! They had a meager but well appointed roster of craft beers on tap, which paired great with the hearty food. Next time I am down that way I intend to return to this place!

Ate there for lunch a few days ago on the way to Roanoke. Had wings, corn fritter, and baby bites. First class food. Wings were smoked with a lightly sweet, crusted glaze that wasnt spicy or greasy. Corn fritter was moist and sweet. Baby bites were one of the most unique and best ways Ive had potatoes. The owner suggested things to try. When he mentioned collards, I had my usual "yuck!" reaction. He brought a sample for me to try. They were actually tolerable (considering I usually gag at just smelling them, actually being able to swallow them was amazing - I figure they must be excellent). Cant wait to get my wife there to try the ribs. Great location, decor, and atmosphere, too.

As a Ex-Employee, I only ate the turkey and salads. I had tried everything ( just about ) in the kitchen. I am a fan and lover of food. But the taste and quality is not always/very accurate. That is if your a fan of constancy. Before working there I was a constant cheerleader for this place. After working as a cook, I recommend none of my family and friends to eat there. So far... anyone who asks if what I think about the place. They have agreed that they would rather not eat there. ( Please note that this is not a "disgruntle employee." I quit my job because of poor management, and lack of customer and employee care.)

Great service from entering to food to table less then twenty minutes. But baby bakers were canned asked the waitress she stated they were fresh. Decor was a little too dark and gloomy also got two different themes going on. Wasnt real impressed. Price was good. Sliced brisket was wonderful. Was highly disappointed they were out of grit cake but settled for corn fritter. Which was a little under cooked in the center. Would give it a five out of ten. Would been higher if it hadnt been so dark and depressing to sit there.

I was super excited to try this place the first time. The ambience is one of its main features. The bbq is good but the variety of sauces are definitely not what i was hoping for. I dipped some of my pork in each sauce trying to find the best one for my sandwich. Unfortunately I was not a fan of any of them. The pork is good enough to eat alone and thats what i did. The sides i received were good. I would definitely recommend people try it because their taste buds might find it better suited.

Food is fantastic. Atmosphere is warm, cozy. Owner and bar keep are friendly, welcoming and attentive. Being from TX, had to try the brisket, ( most people mess it up) not them. Not smothered in sauce where you cant taste the meat lol its just right with flavor. Dont need knife to cut. Ribs were delicious. Fried pickles are the best we have ever had! Weve had a lot! Definitely a stop you need to make.

I dont usually pass by Abingdon VA without stopping here. The have a good selection of craft beer and some of the most amazing sliced brisket and corn fritters that must not be missed. This local smokehouse usuall has the entire downtown smelling delicious. On my last trip I enjoyed the Cow Sandwich. Im a big eater and I could not finish it all. Dont miss this place when in Abingdon.

The older woman playing manager is rude and should not be working there. After years of bringing friends up there for great music and great times, Im done. I cancelled my order and walked across the street for an amazing meal with amazing service. I dont care how good you food is, if you are going to be that rude and nasty to people, youll never get my business.

Eagerly looked forward to the Regis and Kelly award winning ribs, and was disappointed--dry, with modest flavor. Perhaps it was an off night. Try unusual BBQ flavors at the BBQ sauce bar. Combination app platter was the real deal--dill pickled okra, fried green tomatoes, BBQ wings. Some regional craft beers on tap. Served in a timely manner. Enjoy the quaint downtown.
