I tried to order 2 margaritas and with much surprise I was told by the waitress that they had stopped serving them for the night. I asked why and she replied she didnt know, maybe they finished the tequila. It really sounded weird to me as I could see other customers drinking Margarita, but I was hungry and I decided to stay anyway. After 15 minutes I see the girl at the bar making margaritas, so I thought what the hell? I called the waitress and I asked her why she didnt want to give us the Margarits she replied that she didnt know they might have started serving them again and she would ask the owner the permission to give us 2 for free, which I think it is the minimum she could have done. After another 15 minutes she got back to us saying the owner didnt agree and if I want I can have them now but I have to pay... I was very pissed off and I said no. Finally, when we finished eating she came and gave us 1 free Margarita to share as a great courtesy! I have been in the restaurant business and I went out of my way trying to make my customers happy but here instead they went out of their way to make us unhappy. This is a totally and unacceptable unprofessional behavior and the fact that the food was okay is completely irrelevant. The Bronx is famous for Mexican restaurant and you can find good Mexican food basically everywhere, hopefully with a better service than this one.

Me and my best friend wanted to try something different and authentic, and after looking up restaurants around the Parkchester area which is where we were going to the movies, we ran into ratings about this place. Boy, am I glad I listened to the ratings. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! The restaurant is small with only about 15 tables for two/four people but the decor and atmosphere is great. The staff, especially the waitress who took care of us, were super nice and the food...DELICIOUS!! Firstly, the menu has like a million different selections for such a small place and the prices are great! We spent $40 bucks for 2 people, which included drinks, appetizers, main course dish and dessert. The food is prepared and served beautifully, it actually is so pretty you almost dont want to eat it because it looks like a work of art. However, you must!!! I never tasted such great Mexican food anywhere!!! The quesadillas are to DIE FOR, the coconut flan to DIE FOR and everything is is to DIE FOR!!! This is definitely going to be one of my favorite places to come. I will be here at least once/twice a month for sure! I recommend it to anyone who likes to eat, loves food, is on a budget, wants good service, wants orgasmic tasting food and doesnt want to travel all the way to Manhattan to get the complete opposite!

El peor servicio de delivery... ellos llegan tarde con la comida fria... y encima no te ponen cubiertos... la justificacion de los cubiertos fue que la quesadillas... los tacos ... y el guacamole que ordene se comen sin cubiertos ... y que otro dia especifique que necesito cubiertos para mi comida... mi segundo delivery... paso algo similar o peor.. ordenamos 3 diferentes platos.. deje Claro que si necitaba los cubiertos. .. mi sorpresa.. fue al abrir mi delivery UN SOLO TENEDOR.... que horror.. con esta gente no se puede...

Back in mid June took a couple of friends for dinner. The Botanera sauce pretty good, we asked for more, where charge for it. The issue is not to be charge for second serving of complimentary sauce, but the fact that waitress didnt advise us before serving it. One of my guests found a piece of plastic in his plate of food, the waitress picked it up without any apology or offer to replace food. We then ordered a strawberry empanada, described by the waitress as served warm, but we got a soggy dis colored version. Called waitress and told her about it, to no avail, no apology, no solution offer. We paid the bill in full, and tip as usual. Today, I called in for an order of gorditas ,described by waitress as filled w crispy pork, cilantro and onions. Got delivery, ate the first, split the second in two, since I could not see or taste the crispy pork. Called in, and was told by same waitress it was actually filled w potatoes

I have to say they make the best steak burrito Ive ever had. The restaurant is small and unassuming so I recommend calling in your order at least 20 minutes before you get there (great for pickup). The staff is always courteous and the chef has become sort of a personal hero. His food has gotten me through some tough work days. My friends and I hunt for new burrito spots all over New York and Ive been trying to find a new champion. For now, Gods Burritos, which Ive renamed the place, remains king, The prices are great and its worth a trek to the Bronx or a quick local commute. Thankfully the 6 train isnt far (6 train to Parkchester and then a short walk until construction is done on the Castle Hill station)

Malísimo el servicio, pedi un delivery y llego como a la hora y medía, para rematar me llegó incompleto tuve q volver y llamar y decir q me mandaran lo q falto y tardaron como 40 minutos mas, horrible la comida, fría, sin salsas, patético.. Y el trato por teléfono horrible.. No lo recomiendo para nada.

La comida nada que ver..muy rico...lo malo de este restaurante mexicano que va para abajo con el simple hecho que el trato que dan a los clientes para ordenar comida muy mala, hay una mujercita mal hablada y con una atencion al cliente muy debajo de su profesión y educacion.sorry pero es la verdad.

So to say I would do a 4.5 stars. But I work in the part of the Bronx with very little options to eat. So as a result my friend brought me here to get some good Mexicans and the fame of the tacos. And I must say the tacos live up to the hype. I have been here twice and has only gotten the tacos they are so good. I have had the chicken, pork, steak and fish tacos. They are all great. My friends have gotten the enchilada and fajitas and they are all great. This place makes everything fresh and it tastes like that. If you are in rush order before because it will take awhile, but it is well worth the wait!

Me and some co coworkers went there for our lunch break, about 25 minutes later our food still was not ready so we had to return to work without having lunch. There were only 2 people there besides us 3 so I found the service to be extremely slow. They also charged us for the tortilla appetizer which we did not ask for, which I thought was very inconsiderate and unprofessional considering it was our first time there and due to their poor service we will never go back there.

Worth a 45 minute subway ride. I made a special trip here after reading about the best burrito challenge on the 538 website and discovering New York had a bona fide contender. Coming from Texas my burrito expectations are pretty high so Im happy to report that their steak burrito did not disappoint. I did wish they had a hotter salsa, but this being NY Ive come to accept I will always be let down in that department. Cash only so come prepared.
