I skiped famous Daves today to try Billy Sim"s nasty Ribs. I paid over $ 50.00 for 2 slab dinners. It was terrible! !!!!!! Famous Daves Destroys this place. The ribs taste like absolutely nothing! We threw a hold slab in the garbage. I want my money back. Billy Sims Dont know nothing about BBQ Ribs. I know he wouldnt eat"m over famous Daves either. There side orders are nothing to talk about either. BILLY SIMS WAS A DECENT FOOTBALL PLAYER. FAMOUS DAVES IS A GREAT BBQ CHEF. I WAS TRYING TO SAVE SOME GAS AND GIVE.......BILLY SIMS A TRY, THE SKIN WASNT CLEAN OF THE RIBS, AND THE FLAVOR WAS A COMPLETE FUMBLE!!!!! Awful! !!!!!!! I want my money back.

The pulled pork gets this place 2/3 stars - its awesome. The beans and slaw are pretty good for sides. The other meats Ive tried are just OK - the brisket has decent flavor, but is on the dry side. The ribs were even drier and Id never order them again. The "hot" link is not that spicy and tastes a bit cheap. Next time Im in, Ill give the chicken or turkey a try, but it seems the pulled pork plate or sandwich is the way to go. Expect a pretty long line if you go right at noon, especially later in the week. It is definitely on the pricey side for cafeteria-style service, especially since fountain drinks are not included in combos.

Hated it! My family and I went into this place today. This was our first and last visit. I was expecting good old fashion fresh bbq from the grill but I noticed everything smoked, pre-made and wrapped in plastic wrap. The food was very bland. My family ordered the ribs dinner and soon after I ordered the chicken dinner. The guy who was working never cleaned the utensils or the cutting board between my families rib dinner and serving me the chicken. When I sat down to eat, I was very disappointed because my chicken was very dry. I had to smoother it in bbq sauce in order to eat it.

Meat was very tender, and SMOKED to perfection. The Pulled pork, smoked chicken, and beef brisket were all outstanding! However, the ribs while smoked to perfection were lacking on the seasoning, and they forgot to give me BBQ sauce with my order. The sides are not very flavorful at all and appear to be an afterthought to the menu. But I went there for the BBQ and will continue to go and support them!! Best BBQ in Southfield, PERIOD!

Sandwich was good but the pulled pork was not hot which was odd. Mac and cheese was good but nothing special. Plastic silverware is fine but unwrapped is kinda weird as well when its clear nothing is ever wiped down with bleach water. Unwrapped straws too. Overall I felt like it was a mediocre fast food experience. It could be better; But, it could be worse too. Probably would go to the Thai place nextdoor or Shields pizza instead.

I went to Billy Sims 2/14/2014. These were the worst ribs I have ever tasted in my life. I was very disappointed. I really want my money back. I will not recommend this establishment to my worst enemy. They did not smell or taste like ribs. I will never go back..... :(

Great place...great food. After spending approx 3 months in Texas, years back, I was hoping that true Southern BBQ would eventually come to SE Michigan. With the grand opening of Billy Sims BBQ today, it finally has. Nice job, Billy & crew! Well be back (often).

I have no problem saying this places food is just as good as Lockharts in RO or Slows in Detroit. Ambiance isnt as nice but I care about the food. Also, the baked beans are so incredibly smoky and delicious - always get it as a side.

Not sure what the overall appeal is here. This was my first time and they didnt have enough potatoes ready. The prices are a bit high and you receive raw meat (meaning without sauce). Just overall too much work for me.

The ribs are good but Im rating it a 3 because the light skin lady that was working the cashier was a little tooooo flirtatious with my future husband. She was acting very thirsty.... Not professional for new customers.

Great place to eat BBQ - They have a great all you can eat rib special, the meats are all very good and the Baked Potato Salad...OMG delisious, couple that with their baked beans and you set!
