The food was good. Made sure to make reservations well in advance so that I wouldnt have to wait 20-30 mintues. I went during lunch time and it wasnt that crowded. The only downfall to this place is the HORRIBLE customer service. First there were 3 hostesses when I arrived. Noone greeted me. I finally walked up to them and said I had reservations. None of them wanted to take me to my table. It was mostly due to the fact that my table was upstairs and noone wanted to walk that far. After a mintue or two of arguing of who was going to take me, one hostess finally said, "Okay Ill take you." To be honest I thought it was VERY RUDE and lazy on their part that noone wanted to take me to my table. I almost wanted to say, "Just tell me where it is an Ill go myself." To be honest, all three need the extra walking...seems like theyve been tapping into the food a Matchbox a little too often. Then my waiter...He didnt come around to greet my friend and I at our table until well into 15 minutes of sitting down. He wasnt friendly and during our entire lunch our glasses were only refilled once. And the glasses are skinny, tall glasses and I go through water like a fish. Another downfall was that there were no calories/nutritional facts listed on the menu or even on the online menu. I thought all dining places in Montgomery County legally have to place nutritional facts on their menus?? Good thing the food was good because that would be the only thing to draw me back to this restaurant. So for me, this was an okay experience. I just hope the managers take the time to train staff on proper customer service. Many of my friends agree that poor customer service is what turns them away from places. Ill be sure to pass along my experience to them and co-workers.

Mini Trio $18 (4/5 NOMs) Why not have it all. Sometimes you just cant pick one, so why not go with three different on one plate. You get the two of pan seared scallops, mini crab cakes and mini burgers. Each one is even more amazing then another. My favorite is still their bun-less mini burgers topped with fried onion strings. Meat patty is so juicy and flavorful, its like they put crack into it. Its simply addicting. Ask for some buns and you can make some super yummy mini burgers. Its a bit on a pricy side, not often you want to pay almost $20 for an appetizer. It tasted so good that it was a no regret kind of order. Sweet & Tangy Calamari Salad $12 from (4/5 NOMs) Dive into the greens. Making healthier choices in Rockville, one of DC metro suburbs. This was a right choice to satisfy our craving something light and healthy. It maybe a salad, but its all about the crispy calamari. It looked as if they packed a whole bag of calamari in there. Th fact that every bite we could taste the freshness made it so much better. Calamai tasted so good and fresh that you could mix them into anything and it will taste good. Salad came packed with a whole lot of field greens, banana peppers and roasted red peppers. Combination of balsamic vinaigrette and kalamato olives gave it a nice kick. Excellent order for any salad lover outt here.

Been there a couple times and genuinely enjoyed the place those times. Then, my birthday came around and going to Matchbox was the first thing to come to mind. I made reservations a week before the big day, called before to make sure they knew it was my b-day, and it was the worst service I have ever gotten. First, the snobby uptight teens who seat people continually ignored us for 15 minutes as I repeated I have reservations until finally they sat us down... In the dark back corner of the whole place (Of which I didnt even knew existed) right next to ANOTHER birthday party of about 25 people. The opposite party were screaming like banshees the entire time. Food took an hour and a half - which is ridiculous in itself - and to this day it was the worst night at a restaurant Ive ever had. The waiting staff are all Montgomery College students or teens who think they are above the customer or think they are working at a five-star restaurant, or at least thats my theory. Ambience/ decorations are the only saving grace the place has since the food is alright, but nothing superb.

The building is absolutely beautiful. The fires out front a very nice touch on a snow flurry night. The service was hideous, though. I had contacted the restaurant 2 days in advance to make a reservation. They told me they couldnt take a reservation but would happily accommodate us when we arrive. We were not acknowledged by the group of hostesses bent on ignoring customers, until conversation was forced upon them. Then we were told it would be a 1.5 hour wait. 3 employees asked what was going on as our group gathered in the waiting area and then went to find a resolution, to never return. The person I had spoken to in advance was there but refused to come talk to us. There were empty tables everywhere but our group was ignored by the satff. We took our group to another restaurant which was fine with most of the group because those that had eaten there before said the food wasnt very good anyway. If all you want is a beautiful snapshot of you in a gorgeous restaurant, this is a good place. If you want to be appreciated, definitely go elsewhere.

Ive been here a number of times in the last couple years and have been coming here to watch the world cup. I mainly sit at the bar so Im not sure how the table service is but the bar service is great! The bartenders remember my name and my dads when I go with him and theyve given us lots of free drinks and sometimes they bring out free stuff for us. I watched the Belgium vs. US game there with my dad and even though the bar area was packed they brought out an extra table for us and gave us a free brownie a la mode on the house! This place is a pizza place and the pizza is good but I always order the mini burgers which are SPECTACULAR! Theyre the perfect size and a great dish to share and the shoestring onions are super addicting. The beer selection is great (which is why my dad loves the place). They have great beers on tap including Chimay (which my dad claims is the nectar of the gods). All in all the bar is super friendly and the food is great.
