We went to Silver for our Fathers Day brunch and all in all, I think it was very good. The food was delicious and our waitress was great. There were only a few things that made it a 4 instead of a 5 for me: 1.) When we arrived, the hostess asked for my reservation name like 3 times and looked very confused when I showed her that we did, indeed, have a reservation through OpenTable. Not sure if she was new or something maybe or if their reservation system had a glitch or something? I dunno 2.) Two of our party ordered the Cobb salad (which was HUGE btw) and the avocados were hard - enough so that my dad asked for a softer one. One of the managers came back and explained that because they were so busy, they "ran out of ripe avocados" but she could give us a free dessert instead. She actually then went to double-check if she could find a ripe one in the kitchen and came back with one that worked for him, so I guess it worked out... Or they just have a special reserve of ripe avocados put aside for the complainers

Lets see ... a wait of one hour 45 minutes to an hour just to get a table. Then, a wait of another 45 minutes to get food that has cooled. I have tried Silver four times, and each time, the place seems to be getting poorer, perhaps under pressure from its popularity. You will not see me there again. Food is not as good as Silvers sister restaurants, Silver Diner. Silver is the place that received a one-star review from The Washington Post. Tells you something.

Great brunch choices, including a couple healthy/low cal options for those who want it. No bottomless mimosas, but they do have a grapefruit mimosa which was tasty. And the frozen coffee drinks and shakes were awesome. A little pricey though ($37+tip for 1 drink, brunch plate, 1 frozen coffee). Has a little but if a dinery feel, though upscale (I think on purpose since its owned by the silver diner people). Not my favorite brunch but good!

I could rave about the food here for ages. There are so many amazing options I always need at least 10 minutes with the menu when I go before I can decide. Everything Ive had has been delicious, but some of my favorites are the ahi tuna poke, the hanger steak and the chicken pot pie. Im also such a fan of the under 600 calories menu option - they do an awesome job at accomodating all dietary needs. Silver is a must-try!

Theres no way to describe this place other than amazing. I went for a mid morning breakfast with my Mother. We both had the smoked salmon eggs benedict and it was to die for. The coffee was delicious and our server was fantastic. He even gave my Mom a to go cup of coffee. Do not miss an opportunity to eat here. Its not just breakfast but all meals and well worth the trip!

Im intrigued by this place. The food is all locally sourced and pretty good, but not as outstanding as I would have hoped. Dishes are a tiny bit under-seasoned, but thats probably because Im a salt-fiend. The wings are the best Ive ever had (that arent traditional buffalo wings), a must try. Also, their bloody marry is fantastic (and im very particular about my bloodies).

Been here frequently. Used Open Table to book a table...much better experience than waiting. The menu changes seasonly...and enjoyed new menu items! Ahi Tuna Poke Salad is great! Fried pickle chicken is outstanding but could use more sauce on the sandwich. Chicken is perfect!!! Service by Rafael was beyond expectations! Will definitely be back...

This is The Silver Diners "upscale" restaurant. They serve basically everything the Silver Diner serves with a 20% markup and 20% less food. The better wine, beer and cocktail lists saves it from having a worse review. If you want better bang for your buck go to the multiple Silver Diner locations around the area.

Its unfortunate they changed their menu; the late night happy hour special used to have two salmon sliders for example, and now has one with a quinoa slaw that isnt that good. Sometimes has a reputation of higher price for less food. Otherwise the food is delicious here and service is great.

The food is good enough, but this place feels like a diner with a bit of an identity crisis. Is it a diner? Is it fine dining? I mean, if it is a diner then why do you need a reservation? And if it is fine dine dining then why do they serve corn syrup with your pancakes?

Quality place in a fantastic location. Its probably the best breakfast place in Downtown Bethesda. The food is always prepared very nicely. That being said, service can sometimes be lacking in speed. More variety of dishes seems to be in order.

Great brunch spot. Blueberry pancakes were large and thick. They had very good gluten-free maple french toast and a bison huevos rancheros that was phenomenal. Two over easy eggs on top of bison hash, with onions and peppers. Awesome!!

Left a lot to be desired. Essentially, reminded us of Founding Farmers, but with 1/10 of the menu selection and poor food quality which is overpriced for what it is. We were a group of 4, and none of us had anything good to say.

I ordered the crab cakes and was not very impressed. They were pretty dry inside with little flavor. The French fries were pretty good. Service was on the slow side, especially considering that the restaurant was almost empty.

Great for brunch! Good drink selection and great prices. I got the huevos rancheros and they were amazing. The other choices for brunch made it hard to decide. I would recommend trying it for brunch.

Every time I hire a new person I take them here for lunch. The food and the service is great, I love that its source locally, a lot of thought is put into the dishes, and I can taste the difference

I went for a late brunch on a Sunday around 1:30 pm. The service was friendly and prompt, food was good, the crab cakes had a lot of crab meat, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Organic farm-to-table diner with "flexivore" menu (bring your veggie, pesci, gluten-free mates!) ... recommend also the shakes that are a mini-meal to themselves!

Best diner ever! Upscale menu at reasonable prices. Decor and service way above what you normally find in a diner. Everyone in my table sends kudos to the chefs!

Poor services, super expensive drinks! I am never ever going back, this was my third time, just wanted to give the place one more chance but it was the same.

Serves up a really delicious farm fresh brunch. Lots of good huevos rancheros variations. The brunch cocktails are also delish - especially the bloody marys.

Silver is an upscale bistro from the owners of The Silver Diner chain. Good, food, drinks and good atmosphere. Open late with outdoor seating.
