This place gets 5 stars in my book! The food is wonderful North-Indian style in a very casual setting. What really makes it 5 stars is the attentive, friendly service AND the generous portions for such an affordable rice. This restaurant is run by a very hard-working, friendly family. Just to add some credibility to my review, I have eaten at about 45 Bay Area Indian restaurants and I have to say that their Naan is one of my very favorites -- super fluffy and a tiny bit chewy. Yum! This place tends to get packed at odd (usually late) hours resulting occasionally in a long wait time for food to arrive. My work-around is to call and place my order ahead just to ensure that I wont need to wait long. They are always accommodating with my requests. Overall, this place is great for some affordable and tasty grub! It just so happens to be a dangerous temptation for me since I live on the same block. Uh oh... Enjoy!

I just ate here for the first time. Was looking for a nice, fast-food style Indian joint and came to the right place! First, the menu options are fairly standard, meaning something for everyone (if you enjoy Indian cuisine). Second, the place was clean. For a low cost, casual dining experience, it came as a bit of shock. And the employee taking the order was very friendly. Third, the aroma is excellent. Everything I love about the smells of Indian food. Fourth, my lamb vindaloo was excellent. Spicy, but not uncomfortably so. The Daal was very, very good. Not runny like other places Ive been. And full of flavor. Quite good. Fifth, the price was very reasonable. I look forward to going back.

Lovely Fresh Tasty Food. No nonsense. Genuine Punjabi Food. If you dont care about dandy ambience and just care about quality of food! Satkar is the place! I work at Apple and I think I have helped their business increase by telling my friends about it. Now during lunchtime. The place is filled with Apple colleagues. ---To Owners of Satkar--- Please dont take for granted as you become more successful, as Ive seen the case with many Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. I hope your business grows. But. Please. Make sure you keep delivering the same awesome genuine punjabi food! Also your pricing is very competitive, so I hope you maintain that without compromising on quality or quantity!

I was craving Indian food after a doctors appointment and we just did a search of Indian restaurants near where were. The place was a bit difficult to find (not visible from the road) but was worth the search. The service was also a bit slow, but again, it was worth it. We had the Samosa Chaat (delicious), something with chicken (wonderful said my sweetheart), vegetable pakora (the most fresh Ive ever had--didnt know it could taste this good) and truly the best Saag Paneer Ive ever had. I cannot wait to go back. Go there, order for take out or have some event catered by them. I wish I had an event just *so* they could cater it!

I have heard a lot about satkar food and so much 5 start reviews on yelp.I just had chicken tikka masala ,aalo parantha, garlic naan and chicken pakoras in my dinner and i can say food was average . I have eat alot more tastier indian food in Sunnyvale ara but yes here the food is cheaper as compare to those indian restaurants. The best part is with chicken and lamb dishes they provide rice, naan and little bit of Daal which makes a complete meal for a single person. So 4 stars due to average food taste with cheaper food prices. Should try there.

“Good after work drinks & good food” Ive been here many times for after work drinks. Its got a nice bar and always busy with local workers. The staff are always very pleasant, drinks are good and theres a decent selection of wines. Ive always enjoyed the food in particular the pasta dishes and pizzas are excellent. On this most recent visit I had the fettuccine Marco...

The Restaurent looks simple, delivers authentic North Indian food which is world class. Above all the hospitality from the kids "young ladies" is fabulous. This is surely best place in Bay Area if you are die hard North Indian food fan. They are extremely energetic family owned business family. I discovered it recently and visit there multiple times.

I have ended my 15 day maiden USA trip with a lunch at this place. They are tiny in space but have good food. Popular for their authentic north Indian dishes. Ordered Mushroom masala, Karahi paneer for which 4 slices of roti come as combo. Would definitely recommend but be aware if you are planning for dinner be ready to wait for your turn.

Love this place! The chicken tiki masala is delicious and the naan here is the best Ive ever had. I love the lentils and other dishes too. Great service and family owned which makes this place feel and taste so authentic. Wish they moved to a bigger place for more sit down business but thats my only complaint. Definitely coming back here!

One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. This is a family run shop that serves a delicious North Indian fare. We had the Shrimp Vindaloo with Naan, the Kaati Roll along with the papdi chaat as appetizer. All the dishes were perfectly cooked including the Naan. Definitely a must try. Theyre closed on Mondays, so watch out.

It was really good when I find Satkar one of the good indian restaurant around El Camino Real. I used to like Kadai Chicken ...It used to be very nice in taste...But unfortunately day by the taste is going worse. Now i feel it is a just pile of some ginger and spice, no taste. So no other choice to give less star.

After giving seat, water, menu...U should not come and ask after 10 mins if you have already reserved...You should mention in the entrance, name should be given before having seat....Coming 1st time here was a very bad experience...Need to step out hungrily...Bad response from management...

We really liked the Kaathi rolls and the samosa chat here. The downside is that the place is really small so you might have to wait for quite a while to get a table. Apparently takeout is quite popular too as we saw quite a few people and delivery service agents come by to pick up orders.

After moving to Bay Area, I am giving my first 5 stars to Satkar Indian Cuisine. This is place serve one of the best North Indian food. We tried malai kofta and baigan bharta with naan and chapatis. Flavour and Spice level was similar to authentic North Indian food. Perfect

“Excellent Kara Masala Dosa” Some restaurants excel in certain dishes, Madras Cafe must be visited for their Kara Masala Dosa which is spicy. My US-born teenager loves it also, although she will not eat most other things on the menu. Their methu vada is also excellent.
