YES, NuWay rocks and this is the original. Still a classic. Always go back when I am in town. Same waitresses treat our family like theirs. I recommend a NuWay sandwich with cheese (put some tabasco on it too), Chili with beans, garlic salad and onion rings. Get a Root Beer to drink (they make their own) but if there is two of you someone should get a cherry limeade and share drinks so you can try both. Great for kids too! Kids meals come with Ice Cream and all 10 of the kids we took ate everything in front of them. Prices are ridiculously good, almost feel bad using the coupons that can be easily found. Just tip those nice waitresses extra from the savings!

This is the home location of the very first "NuWAY." It still reminds me of when my Grandma & Great Grandma, took me there as a little girl. My favorite is the homemade Old Fashion Root Best, along with Two OUTSTANDING Large NuWay, crumbly burgers (I ask for my burgers DRY), with only cheese and home made curly fries. If I have room left over, I order one scoop of OLD Fashioned vanilla ice cream. This may be all old fashioned, inside and out, but I wouldnt have it any other way. MMMM, NuWay, CRUMBLY IS BETTER!!!!!!! So the next time your traveling through Wichita, Kansas. Stop on by, the original location of "NeWay."

Food was good so i cant say to much but the new gir lthat answerd the phone to take my order was rude as hell and hung up on me after i gave my order no price or playback to make sure she had it right ... i was pissed off ....i miss mandy its still the best nuway out of the choices but custumer service sucks ass ... i work at walmart deal with crack head fat bitches retards and just plain out assholes but service here sucks ass now days even i know how to smile and get er done these bitches go sour and make it no fun

Surprisingly delicious! Hit this spot up from a recommendation from someone that was raised in Wichita! Sounded kind of different, but the crumble burgers are delish, I dont normally drink root beer, but since they make it in house I have it a try and Yum!.. Oh and the young man working the dinning room was very knowledgeable and gave me the history of the joint! If I ever make it back to Wichita, Ill definitely stop in again! 5 stars all day!

Great place. We happened to be here for their 87th anniversary. We had rootbeers that seemed huge but were so delicious we drank them up. The burgers were just 87cents for the anniversary and they were delicious. The place is small and was packed . This is the original Nuway burger opened in 1930. We had a 12 year old and a 14 year old with us. They loved it. The onion rings were my favorite. So good!!

This place was built silly. The register is stuffed into the same corner as the front door. The burger is literally made so that it falls apart. They didnt have sweet tea, and the waitress acted like she was swamped, but it was only the 4 of us in the restaurant. Its was dirty and old and my burger was simultaneously greasy and dry. Please dont go here, I would have left, but my friend made me stay.

If i could give less than 1 star i would. What a dump. I would rather eat in the bathroom of a truckstop. The employees have the combined IQ of a fly. And seemed to be running a personal daycare as kids were running around the kitchen. On top of all that the food was horrible. My 10 year old could make a better meal than this dump.

Nothing like a good old Tip Top or New Way Burger. I would suggest only going to the West Douglas location, the original store. The other stores can be a little iffy. I cant imagine getting things like bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato on a new way. Its just not right! Guess theyre just thinking of gimmicks to try to sell more product.

I grew up in Wichita and just have to laugh when I see remarks on this site about it being built "silly", or that the burgers "dont even stay together". YES! Thats the Nuway I remember! It is 87 years old, has so much history, and is still yummy as ever! Every time Im home to visit, I absolutely make a stop at Nuway! Love them!

Nuways are the best! The people were always friendly even during the rush. I miss them since I moved to the East coast. I have made an approximation in my own kitchen, but it never turns out exactly right. If they ever open a store in the DMV area particularly Arlington or DC I will be the first in line.

Love this place! I live in Kansas City and back in the 50s used to take my girl friends to the Nuway Drive In. Nothing can compare to Nuway Burgers. I come to Wichita visit with my family and always stop at the original Nuway before going back to KC

One of those historic Wichita food joints that you should really try out. This is the original place. Homemade Root Beer is very good. Burgers are crumbly good. A little greasy on everything but acceptable. Onion rings are good. Milkshakes.
