My wife and I wanted to try out a new BBQ place, and were glad we did. We got there right around opening time on a Saturday morning, we happened to be the first in the door. We tried their two meat plate. PLENTY of TASTY food. We enjoyed the fact that their side dishes were NOT loaded with Jalapenos. She tried the Pull Pork and Pulled Chicken, and found them extremely tasty. To the point, that if I didnt ever want to come back, she would find her own way here to get a bite to eat. :) I had the Brisket and Smoked Sausage. Both were exactly what Id would have hoped for. The sausage had a little black pepper bite, and a nice mellow smokey taste. I Would recommend this place to anyone. Owner / Staff very nice and helpful.

I got the big cue pulled pork sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. The pulled pork itself is good. Not the best Ive had, but definitely decent. Wasnt a huge fan of the sauces, but I personally dont care care for overly sweet bbw sauces, which they all seem to be very sweet. Must be a Carolina thing. Now the Mac and cheese was disappointing. It was very bland. It has a creamy flavor and texture, but I was hoping to taste more of the actual cheese. But then again, I prefer Mac and cheese that has a sharp cheddar flavor. They must use very mild cheeses. Overall, not bad bbq seeing as there arent a lot of other bbq options in Strongsville.

I order take-out lunch from here occasionally for my department, so I figured it was time to write a review. Everything I have ever ordered has been fresh, well-prepared and delicious. Prices are not cheap (especially for separate side items) but, overall, they are reasonable. I enjoy the variety of barbecue sauces provided, although I, like most people, tend to only use my one or two favorites. I love that they carry Cheerwine...diet and regular! I lived in the South for a long time and, while this is not barbecue in the finest Southern tradition, it is very good.

The food is great and the employees are very nice. The only gripe I have is that a friend and I went in at 815 and they had already washed the floors. They were soaked and slippery. I work in a restaurant and I understand wanting to get out at a decent time but those floors were very slippery and not able to be walked on without the fear of falling.

Welcoming employees. Super clean place to eat. Great food. Great atmosphere to relax or hang out. Relatively quiet. Pick up option available. Food always ready and warm for pick up never have to wait. Consistently good. Good portions. Cherrywine soda is a recommendation. One of the best BBQ in our area. Satisfies BBQ cravings.

OUTSTANDING! The food was delicious! We had 8 people in our party, so we were able to sample almost everything. The ribs and shredded pork were moist and tasty. The barbecue sauce (We tried 2 different flavors) were excellent! In our opinion it is the best Barbecue Restaurant around.

3 of us decided that we would try Old Carolina for the first time this past Sunday. Went there at about 2pm and we all decided to get ribs. Guess what? We were told that they were out of ribs. A BBQ place with no ribs. Interesting. Needless to say, we wont be going back.

I like old Carolina but this particular location never fails to disappoint... Brisket always tastes like it was made last week, its tough and poorly reheated. Every time I go there... Every other location Ive been to has been great..this place is just awful for some reason..

The food was mediocre. The barbecue sauce is sweet and hot. It is a little pricey for the quality and portion size. The service was fantastic - attentive, answered all questions, and friendly. I will try this place again later to see if there is any difference.

This place is a true southern style BBQ joint. Order at the window, eat at a picnic table. Several good sauces to choose from. Sandwiches were piled crazy high. They even had Cheerwine. Like someone took a slice of the low country and brought it up here. Love it.

Walked in and I turned around and walked out,food all over the floor, tables were nasty, food,trash ect.ect. If you cant keep your dinning room clean then I am not about to even think what that kitchen is like? Never again? Dont do nasty and dirty!

This place has really good food with a nice atomosphere and friendly staff. My sister had them cater her wedding this past weekend and they were great! Highly recommend for either dine in, carry out, or their catering services!

Sorry! But this was the worst barbecue I have had in a long time. No taste and very tough. I was hoping for fall off the bone! At least give me something hot but all food was cold. I wont go back ☹️️ YUK!

Excellent North Carolina style ribs with a good selection of side dishes. Ive lived a few months in Asheville and this place compares favorably with the joints in Asheville like 12-bones.
