An hour for delivery + TERRIBLE customer service = bad reviews for 88 China Bistro. Owner said food would be delivered in 35-40 mins. After 40 mins i called to see what the ETA was, she said the food was on the way. Another 15 mins, no food, so i called back and she said she had no control over her driver (bad management as well?) and that he was probably coming from across town. I live only 8 mins away from the restaurant and she said if i wanted it faster then i should have came to pick it up (thanks but no thanks). Thats not the point lady. So youre saying if i came to eat at your restaurant and if i wanted my food faster i should go into your kitchen and cook it myself? She refused to compensate in any way and after another 10 mins of going back and forth on the phone with her, her delivery guy finally showed up. She said if i wanted to cancel, then to go ahead and cancel as the guy is on my doorstep (he was nice and apologized, sorry delivery dude for sticking you in the middle). I sent him away with the food as I did not want cold food and she she ended hanging up me. Disappointed in you 88 China Bistro.

Several people at Novant Health have ordered from this restaurant. Today, Jan 28, 2013. We called them to place a new order but also let them know that we did not receive our Spring Rolls. The manager/Kim in so many words told my co-worker that she was lying. She would not listen to anything she was saying...talked over her....had a very bad/rude attitude. My co-worker remained calm and respectful but demanded that Kim to listen to her. Kim hung up on her. Now we are no longer interested in ordering from this restaurant. I hope that everyone understands that rudeness is not acceptable and business like this should not maintain decent clientele if that is how they want to behave.

I ordered a meal to be delivered to my house, and they told me that I had to order a minimum of $15 worth of food to be delivered, so I had to purchase an extra appetizer. After this, they told me that the food would be delivered within an hour, which is a long time considering I know they dont get a lot of business. After an hour and 15 min of waiting, I called again to ask where the food was and they said it was on the way. I figured this meant the food would be here before 10 min because its only a few miles from my house, but after another half hour, I called again and they said that it had just now left the restaurant. This below average food was not worth the money or time.

TERRIBLE FOOD!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! I GOT FOOD POISONING AND MANAGER DID NOT! DO NOT COME HERE IT IS TERRIBLE YOU WILL GET SICK The food was uncooked and terrible. I had food poisoning for eating, and I wanted my refund. I called the store and one of the people there at the counter was rude and unprofessional. I wanted to speak to a manager, and they said to wait one week. I had been vomitting blood and the terrible food that I had all morning, and they threatened to call the police on me for simply wanting to talk to a manager. DO NOT COME HERE IT IS TERRIBLE!!!

Yummy food, I got the veggie lo mien and it was very good. My friend got the broccoli chicken (I think) but the chicken was good quality in my opinion, it was all white meat and tasted good (Im very picky about chicken). Our food came out very fast, it came out in under 10 minutes of us ordering. Our waiter was so sweet and very attentive, he even put my leftovers away in a box for me at the table and our drink cups were always full. First time Ive gone here but I will definitely be coming back!

This place is great! My wife and I were in town and decided to try Bistro 88. She ordered the Basil Chicken and I ordered the Tangerine Beef...we loved every bite! The food was fresh and tasted amazing. We will be stopping by on our next visit and highly recommend that you try it.

This is the best Chinese food Ive been able to find in Charlotte. Its never been overly busy, but always a steady stream of customers. The service is always prompt and courteous. My favorite dish is the pineapple chicken that comes in a half of a hollowed out pineapple.

Beat Chinese in Charlotte. The food is made fresh and tastes rather healthy. Chinese food usually makes me feel sluggish after eating it. This place doesnt. Ill only go here after eating here.
