Not my first time at golden corral so naturally I was expecting my out of state experience to be as great as my back home experience. I was sadly mistaken. Went there at about 7 so not a super late time to eat dinner. When I got there all of the food looked like it had been sitting there without any refreshing for the entire day. Wanted the sweet potato only to find out they were all super burnt and shriveled up, basically like the rest of the food. There was a bunch of stuff that wasnt even stocked. No gummy bears, cookies, or any toppings besides a bit of peanuts stocked for the ice cream bar. Dont want to be that person but noticed one of the workers sneezing into his hands then continued cleaning around food without washing his hands. Told a manager what we had seen and the issue was properly addressed. I do want to say that the entire staff was incredibly friendly and our server was very prompt and kind. Anyways the next morning my boyfriend, who was with me at the resteraunt, woke up not feeling well. Both of us work in the food industry as management so we understand the importance of cleanliness in a food based workplace. So maybe Im gonna be more harsh simply because of that, but I doubt customers would approve of this stuff either. Needless to say I will not be returning and I hope all of this is addressed because I am usually a big fan of golden corral.

My boyfriend and I went to eat there yesterday evening and by the time we had come home I was already getting nauseous and was throwing up we ate at 630 I started vomiting around 730 eventually we both had gotten very ill and had been vomiting till 5 a.m. the next morning went to the e.r. and was told we had food poisoning so we called them later on in the evening when they were open again to ask that we get our money back and they refused to give me the 20 dollars I spent just to come home sick. The server we had was nice but regardless of whether the manager thinks its right or not your customers are always right I work at Applebees and anytime we have a complaint we refund our customers to give them the greatest experience and to show that we are an understanding company the women we spoke to was a total stuck up b****and had shown me nothing more than how money greedy and selfish she was. Not a very professional place to eat I highly suggest you dont eat there. All their food looks like its been sitting out for hours which actually might be the reason we actually ended up getting sick....eating old food. I would suggest you just eat somewhere else. Theres a cheddars right next to them . An amazing restraunt and great service at cheddar. DONT EAT GOLDEN CORRAL. I beg all of you .

The food was cold and nowhere near fresh, the entire restaurant was dirty (we wont talk about the restrooms). I saved for a long time to get my child to Purdue and then go out for a meal with her before leaving for home. I feel totally ripped off. DO NOT EAT THERE FOR ANY REASON, as you will be sorry. Eat at a fast food place instead, the food would be better and much cheaper. I do want to say the service was good and the employees helpful. If I could give it no stars (or even minus) I would.

I used to go here all the time when I was younger and loved it. So it was where I chose to go on my birthday. Food was great. Good selections. And the waiter was very nice. But we did not feel very welcomed when we walked in. Where we paid the girl up front wasnt very happy to be there or to see us.. so I give it 4 stars because of her. And because I think the price is a bit to high. So if you go on a day this girl doesnt work. I think your hard earned money will be worth it.

Ate at golden corral several times now, always had a good experience, until we visited the one in Lafayette in. Made two trips up to the meat bar nobody around so I got a knife and cut a piece of ham myself, then after I did that the cook got really belligerent with me told if I would have waited 30 sec. Hed got it for me, will it wasnt 30 sec. Made two trips up there. We got are money refunded and left. So dont eat at the golden coral in Lafayette in. Go somewhere else.

I have eaten at some of the best steak houses in the country, New York to Atlanta to Los Angeles. The steak here at this Golden Corral could hold Its own against the best of them. The food here at this GC is seasoned much better than the other GCs Ive eaten at throughout country. Usually its a little bland but this one is done well on the spices & I would recommend this GC to anyone traveling in this direction.

It is what is, buffet food. Happy to report it much better than my last visit a few years ago. Told my girlfriend on the way in that the comercials always lure me in and I quite often leave hating myself. Not the case tonight at all, the food was very fresh and our hostess Maria was on top of her game. Didnt miss the sickly looking people in the old smoking section at all. Tonight leaving fulfilled and content.

My family and I wanted to eat here so I called and ask the hours and buffet price. I didnt get the ladys name but she was the rudes person. We ended up going to eat and the lady was the one at the register. She didnt even crack a smile. That lady did not like her job and should not interact with people. I did have a good time considering I had a fantastic waitress and I would love to come again very soon!

7-18-17 300pm we just finished our meal,I got my cake and ice cream ,The staff started emergency evacuation to exit the customers out side.They explaned to us there was a tank in back of the building leaking.The LFD was called turned out to be nothing,The staff was safe,Calm and every thing went smooth,An employee stated better to be safe than sorry.We all agreed.

SO MUCH FOOOD!!! I had never been here before but just one trip to the Corral was enough to get me hooked. As much as I loved it though, I could only go at most once every two weeks because it was so much food and Im only in the mood for a kings feast every once in a while. You should definitely go though, it is an restaurant experience unlike any other.

$17 for one person! Half the food was overcooked. Steak was cooked to my liking. I could nit pick at the details but just wasnt satisfied paying that much for dinner just because its easter. Same food served year round just jacked the price up!

The service was terrible. I didnt get one single drink refill in 45 minutes, despite our server walking around with a pitcher of water. We didnt even know who our server was until we were leaving. Needless to say, she didnt get a tip

Its a good value for money. All kinds of food and servers are mostly quite friendly and accommodating. Its not gourmet food but in a pinch satisfies the craving. Was a grad student at Purdue and liked to go there with friends.
