Went in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch after church. It was a little spooky because there was literally no one else in the restaurant (we got a great parking spot of course). So we were in and out of the restaurant in about 45-50 minutes total. Pretty awesome. The host was friendly, and the server was a lot of fun. The guy seemed to know his stuff and even had an actual opinion about what we should order, which is nice (instead of just like "Everythings good. Order something."). The salad was okay, pretty much stock lettuce. I got the ginger sauce and it was pretty good. Get it on the side though because youll get a lot of it. Got Miso soup, was also pretty good. A lot better than grocery-store microwave stuff, which is the only previous time Ive had it. Never been to Japan and all that magic but it did the trick. Also wasnt super hot which I appreciated. I guess some people want their soups to be hype on that steam but I take life at a different pace. I actually want to be able to eat my soup when I get it. The sushi itself was probably the best Ive had. Again, not an expert, but Ive made my own, had grocery-store sushi (from like, the deli counter) and some from another restaurant, and this stuff beat all the rest. Plenty of sauce provided as well (Yum Yum, and another I couldnt identify, but didnt matter because I had Yum Yum left over after my entire roll was gone). Definitely will go back to try the hibachi. A little out of place for the East-Side, I must say, and I mean that as a compliment. Will be returning!

Hibachi/Tepanaki style restaurants are some of our favorites, and Fuji is right up at the top. Weve been to most of them around the north and east Indy areas, and Fuji is our favorite. The quality of the food is top notch. The only exception maybe the lettuce in the salad. There is nothing wrong with it, but its very basic iceberg lettuce pieces. The filet mignon (medium rare) just melts in your mouth. The shrimp are a nice size. The teriyaki sauce on the chicken is excellent. The portions for everything are adequate. (some places do give you more fried rice - but I dont want that much rice) The prices are very comparable to other nice Japanese steakhouses in the area. The seating is abundant! Ive never seen it more than 50% full, but that means you can always get in right away, and you can park close. The floors seem to be a little sticky, but not dirty. Everything seems (and smells) very clean, including the nicely decorated bathrooms. They also have a large seating area for traditional menu style dining (but whats the fun in that?). Last night was our fourth visit, and I know well be back.

Overall standard hibachi experience. Seems a bit on the higher priced side. Hibachi and sushi are both very well prepared. Ambiance is nice (and bathroom is cool). Never a wait when weve been. Withheld one star because service and attitudes towards customers are not always very friendly. Went there for Mothers Day and they had all day dinner pricing (no lunch) and eliminated their 50% discount kids usually get on Sundays. Rubbed me wrong.

Had a reservation. Seated at a table with unsupervised children. Took 12 mins to acknowledge us and take drink order. Another 10 mins to get drinks and take food order. Another 10 to get soup and salad. Finally another 20 minutes and still no hibachi chef. We just left....so, I guess I dont know about the food (or if they even have food).

This place is nice, friendly staff and beautiful ambiance but this restaurant is PRICEY. And Im not talking pricey as in it should be expected. You could get the same thing at red lobster and have it be better for less price. 35 dollars for a lobster tail and a couple pieces of shrimp? Too much. Ill compromise and give you three stars.

Went for dinner and had hibachi shrimp and filet. The cook was entertaining, especially for my 7 year old daughter. The soup, salad, fried rice, shrimp, and steak were all delicious. We had sushi as an appetizer and that was good too. The drink refill and bill service was a little slow. Overall, we had a good experience.

Great food. Beautiful decor. Theyre a little pricier than the Japanese place that we usually frequent, but the hibachi chef was very skilled, very funny and cooked our food spot on. The steak, chicken and seafood was cooked perfectly. The sushi was great too. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I recently dined at Fuji and were very pleased with our dinner. I had grilled filet and scallops combo dinner and she had sushi. We will eat here again. The east side of Indy lacks good quality restaurants so it is nice to have another option besides the usual handful.

Great food, can be a little pricey, with wonderful staff! Fuji is perfect for date night, going out with friends or a family event! With a fun hibatchi grill and a good selection of sushi and entrees, this place is one of my favs!

service was great. food cooked perfectly. I have a shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate ( we were worried about that ). It might seem pricey but portions are extremely large and its worth it. we will be back soon.

Great place to eat! The kids loved the Hibachi chef and it was entertaining to say the least. I was worried whether or not the kids would like it but they ended up loving it! Nice ambiance and lunch prices cant be beat!

I really appreciate having this option on the east side of Indy. We go there for date night and always have a great night (sorry, I had to). The food is always fresh. Weve been 6-7 times and not had a bad time yet.

Really good experience & good food. We were entertained & cooked for by the chef on the billboard, who was working his last day in Indy before returning to his home restaurant after training & setting up this one.

I tho it was absolutely disgusting. My fiance and I left whole plates of food. I dont even think I would have gave my leftovers to a dog. Stick with Fujiamas bc this place is nothing to brag about.

Wonderful experience, very clean, and the people extremely polite and accommodating. The only thing was the filet mignon was a thin serving but non the less very good taste.

Great food and service. A little pricey, but worth every penny. Staff used traditional instruments and sang in Japanese for the happy birthday celebration. Fun!
