I have been a long time regular at this Golden Corral, and at their old location with former management on Lima Road. On the weekdays its a bit more on the quiet side, which is what I like. This is a place where I know happy faces are waiting for me. If you come in often enough, your face will indeed be remembered and they will greet you by name. Never have I had a bad experience with the staff. Cooks, servers, managers - theyre all great people. Theyll do almost anything you ask for just because their work ethic is that awesome, AND theyll have an actual conversation with you. The food? Even better, if thats possible. Its cheap during the daytime, and they always have fresh stuff out. And you can have AS MUCH AS YOU WANT. And you can stay for AS LONG AS YOU WANT. Not to mention that like EVERYTHING is made from scratch. Home cooked meals are the best meals, right? You can watch them make everything by hand while just walking through the buffet. Oh yeah.... and dont forget that HUGE chocolate fountain. Its pretty cool. Just tell them its your first time there and youll basically get a personalized tour!! You should come in and see what Im talking about.

Second time I went here for their over priced mid quality food, just to give it a second chance. I went with a friend on their "premium" Friday menu, which cost 35 bucks for two people! Absolutely outrageous! Not only did that happen but when we went to eat the "fresh" salad we found multiple hairs in that and also in the freshly cut prime rib meat. After we were done with the ice cream, which seemed to be the only good thing there, even though non of the toppings they had available would come out of the dispenser, I want to have a word with the manager on duty. He was an older gentlemen, and he used the excuses that most of the hair comes from the other customers, which isnt even an excuse to begin with because they should have the right equipment to prevent that. He then for used the excuse for the freshly sliced meat that all of the people there are bald underneath their hats. Overall the experience was terrible with sub-par food but with the occasional good service from a try hard waitress. Dont go there ever of you have any sense, instead I would recommend the Fortune Buffet which is close and has much higher quality foods.

My family and I had a horrible experience tonight. First my husband got very raw fish. It was clearly not cooked. Turned it into the waiter. The manager came over and apologizedocumenting. Then I Got fudge with wax paper stuck in the crease. My pot roast was cold. Not just cool. But actually cold coming off the hot line. Have to wait for 15 mins for the scallop scewers. And to finish off the evening my son got sick shortly after finishing eating. Now Im not a Dr. And I dont have a confirmed case of food poisoning but after all the issues we had wouldnt be surprised. Then another manager comes over and apologizesee and gives us a 25 % off coupon. That way the next time we want to have a miserable time and get sick it at least wont cost so much.... if I could give a zero rating I would. I have never had so many problems in one trip to a restaurant.

Golden Corral is filthy! Most of the food is old, deep fried to death, or baked & boiled to death. Not to mention, totally laced with tons of sugar. Oh but lets not forget the deteriorating plates, supposedly clean silverware with food still stuck on, and horrifically dirty bathrooms. Even our tables upon first sitting down hadnt been cleaned right. If this is how the front house is, just imagine the poor standards in the kitchen!! One unannounced visit from Fort Wayne Health Dept. and this place is SHUT DOWN! I mean believe it or not, Im the type of person that looks for the silver lining in everything...and at Golden Corral its the driveway leading OUT of that barn! This really is a slop house people. Do yourself and your kids a favor, and eat ANYWHERE else. Yuck!

We were blown away by our server Leland. There were 4 adults and one child at our table. Leland was quick, efficient and his personality shined through. By far the best service I have every received at any restaurant. Typically at a buffet service is normally average. Leland went above and beyond. Constantly making sure we had everything we needed. Kept our table tidy and beverages full. He was genuine, kind and always upbeat and positive. He went out of his way to shake my fathers hand and say happy new year. We were blown away and left a 25% tip. I hope this review goes to upper management for a job well done at the Fort Wayne Golden Corral for hiring such amazing people.

I went on a saturday morning around 10:00. I thought the food was decent, not great. There was a lot stuff, waffles and french toast, i never got to try because they were always out. My server was great, but a couple of the other servers were constantly running around playing grab azz, annoying.... 9 months later, ssdd, our servers boyfriend came in at the same time so we were ignored with no refills until the other server took pity on us and removed plates and got us drinks. Also the hashbrowns were swimming in grease as were the bacon and some of the veggies. They must not want repeat customers or have a deal with a cardiac surgeon

Traveling through.. stopped at GC to feed 11 people at 8:20p; they close at 9pm. I get it, "we close in 40 mins and you people want to eat!?" ... Well, yes, of course we do. So, we walk into an open establishment, greeted, you take our money then state the obvious "we close at 9pm!"... and before were seated, staff is pulling everything from the bars and in most every cases making things hard to reach and with no utensils. Wait staff were great, food was not bad ... just a bit aggrivating that theyd take our money, then make the experience bad. "You might try not allowing people in the door after 8pm if thats the plan!"

I will never return here again. Everything was dirty. As soon as we walked in and grabbed a tray my boyfriend got some unknown creamy substance on his hand from it. Grossed out but decide to continue. Had to wait a few minutes for someone to notice us standing waiting for our table to be cleaned. When we went to get plates there was still food on them. Same with the utensils. And then again when I went to get an ice cream bowl. Food was horrible. Tasteless. I could have fixed us a better meal for cheaper. We didnt enjoy one part of our experience. One of the nastiest places Ive ever experienced.

We go here every week because this place loves their customers. The manager is visible to his customers and employees and his employees obviously like and respect this man. Customers love to see this. I especially love the soups, many to choose. The grill station has the best grilled and smoke meats. My husband loves the steak which is cooked to your preference. I love the variety of cooked and raw vegetables. Its a clean place, happy, delicious food--you cant go wrong. See you next week Golden Corral Ft Wayne!
