We discovered Ahoyama after receiving a coupon in the mail. We have since been back many times, and never been disappointed. The menu selections are varied and creative, with some unique rolls I have not seen elsewhere. Try the Beach Roll or the Caribbean roll for a tasty treat. These rolls use rice paper rather than the traditional nori wraps. Some rolls also include the use of mixed salad greens, which is a nice change, and goes well with the fish and sauces used. Presentation is always beautiful and artful. They find ways to put one tables order on one or two plates, rather than each roll on a separate plate. I have seen some very decorative shapes made out of the roll pieces, like crosses, circles, and neatly stacked piles. Service has always been prompt and attentive. I like the cucumber salad served as an appetizer, it is a nice balance of sweet and spicy. So far, we have yet to find another sushi restaurant in the area that can beat Ahoyamas winning combination of delicious food, competitive prices, and great service.

Worst dining experience in 4 years. Appatizer was not appatizing. Dinners were worse. Staff could not tell me what was in the house dressing even after I told the server that my wife had allergies. I was given the entire wrong order so I never even touched my plate. My wide took one bite of hers and was very dissatisfied. By that point we were just done with the place but couldnt leave because our server was missing. She never came to check on us after she brought us our food. I had to flag another server to find her. Then she charged us the full bill and argued with my wife about why she didnt say something sooner. After all that she offered to go boxes. Needless to say when I found out that we were charged the full bill I called and was told the manager was too busy. Best part about the meal was I was able to go back and got the entire meal refunded by the owner. I will not be back.

We went there tonight for my birthday and got the huge Ahoyama sushi & sashimi combo plate. I. Am. In. Love! I have had a lot of sushi in my life and this place knocked my socks off! All the fish was SO fresh and just melted like butter in my mouth! Both salads and the Miso soup were AMAZING! I even ate the tofu in my Miso it was so good (tofu is evil). Their prices are VERY reasonable for the great quality you get, The staff were all super nice and answered all my silly questions. I am so happy I picked this wonderful place for my special dinner! I WILL be going back and I hope we can make it a regular going out place! <3 <3 <3

I love this restaurant. Everytime I visit them they are always courteous and serve great food. Their servers are excellent, and I have never had an issue with any of them. They always check on my table a few times to make sure I have everything I need. Ive been here a few times and they always have not only the waitress but other servers helping out as well, with drinks, etc. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who lives within the local area. if you go on your birthday youll get ice cream and a big GONG! Found out by surprise!

I love sushi and my hubby doesnt, so I often go here for lunch and eat at the counter before making my trip to Sprouts. I pretty much always order the chefs special and she makes a big plate of lovely sushi for me. You also get a salad with delicious dressing, a bowl of miso soup, and a half an orange for dessert (cut in a cool way so you can eat it with your chopsticks). Everything is very fresh. They do have a TV on but the captions are on, and they play music. Love this place.

Having lived in Japan and Korea for a number of years, this is the best sushi I have ever eaten, Hands Down. The service was great and the price is resonable. I recommend Ahoyama to anyone who loves Sushi. Best in the world. One great way to tell a good Sushi bar is to watch the chef. Sushi is an art not fast food. To the couple who had a bad experience. You might want to try spell check if you expect anyone to take you seriously. This isnt East Texas.

Im lucky enough to have this gem a block away from my work. Food is always prepared in a manner that pleases the eyes first, then certainly the palette. Lunch is a gracious serving, with bento box lunches coming with a salad, cucumber side, and miso soup. The wasabi roll is a personal favorite. When prepared by the exceptionally talented, albeit untraditional female sushi chef, its a treat. Staff is always attentive and polite. Never a bad experience here.

This is the best sushi place Ive ever been to! Always so nice and everyone makes a point of saying hi to you. The sushi is very fresh and they stuff their rolls. No small skimpy rolls. And the price cant be beat. They also have this kind of cucumber thing you get while your food is being made. Its delicious! They even make a point of giving my boyfriend a little extra because he likes it so much. Give this place a try if you havent already!

I had lunch there today with my mom. We ordered the Beef lunch plate. The salad was fantastic, the Miso soup was ok (but I dont like miso to begin with). The service was great, and all the sushi that everyone else was getting looks amazing! Im going to go back and order some sushi. The lunch prices were great, and the atmosphere was great as well!

I have lived across the world and this is #1 in my book for sushi. Fun, imaginative, tasty, and always the same. My favorites are Cowboy Roll, sunset roll, and volcano roll. Awesome stuff. Friends that visit from all over world always come back for more. I always take my closest friends and my family here. United States Air Force Family!

They REALLY love their customers. Their love shows in everything they do. I can tell because their food is delicious, their smiles are genuine, and they really do care. Im happy because Ive found the best sushi place around, and the best part is the value and the overall experience. Id give them 6 stars is I could.

Always an amazing experience. Fresh sushi and rolls made to order, exceptionally friendly staff that remembers your name, and very competitive prices. Speciality rolls can range from $10-$15 but regular rolls are cheap around $5-$7. On Tuesdays their house sake is $1 and you can request cold or hot.

Have been coming here for years. Ive had sushi all over the country and still have never found anyone that comes close in terms of quality of food, service, and atmosphere...the price is impossible to beat as well! If youre in DFW and want great sushi at a reasonable price, try this hidden gem!

At Ahoyama Restaurant in Hurst, you will have the best sushi maybe as far as the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex! The staff let my party and I stay long after we penciled in the tip, and treated us nicely throughout the night. This is an underrated but correctly reviewed restaurant
