I Ate there for breakfast. Have to admit, I really enjoyed the food and the service. That is until the end. My friend and I were discussing a business matter we were planning to collaborate on and one of the Waite staff came over with a very hostile face and tone in his voice and said, "are you done! Do you need anything else!" To me that said, now that you have eaten and paid your bill now get out so we can get someone elses money. I may be wrong but how it was done and the tone in his voice and also the heads that turned to see what my reaction would be tells me I was correct in my assumption. For that reason I gave 1 star. If I could have given none I would have. With all of the tension that exists in this city that I love so much, a negative reaction by me would have made the situation worse. So I walked away never to return. I have never written a Restaurant review but this one I had to write. If there had been a posted sign stating a time limit or anything about time it would not have been an issue. But there wasnt and there is an issue. Hashbrown, thanks for the shabby treatment. Ill stick to Les Brothers in Oak Lawn.

The place its ok. It was me only and I asked to be seated at the bar area, the server (or host?) didnt seem to be interested in helping me out, pretty much handed me menu and that was it, as a first timer I didnt feel welcomed. She handed me the menu and didnt even offer me coffee or tea or something as other servers do at other breakfast places. When I asked for coffee her response was "oh Im sorry". The breakfast was good, I had the regular eggs and it came with sausage, toasts, and hashbrowns. Under $10. By the way, if youre short dont seat at the bar, the stools are not high enough, I am 57 and I felt very weird haha. Parking is very inconvenient, theres no street parking. However theres a parking lot on the same street and it is pretty cheap. Other than that I might come back to this place. I couldve given 5 stars but the service wasnt that good after all. Thanks.

Really wouldnt make a special trip here. The prices are decent and the portions are good, but the food was pretty bland. I got an omelet with steak and cheese which was pretty good, but very sparse on the steak and just didnt have a ton of flavor. Some of the steak in it was really tasty and some was bland. The sweet potato hashbrowns were weird and gross and the regular hashbrowns had very little flavor. For a place named Hash Browns, I expected them to at least have really good hashbrowns. My boyfriend got the loaded french toast which was ok, but really could have used some cream cheese filling or on the side. My dads egg white omelet with sausage, tomatoes and basil was bland as well. Definitely nothing to write home about.

I came here with some friends for Sunday brunch- we wanted to sit outside since it was a nice sunny day but the wait was pretty long. We only waited 20 minutes to sit inside. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. I had the turkey burger on a pretzel bun and it was really good! Turkey was fresh but I wish they didnt mix the toppings with the patty (mine had broccoli and mushrooms). This place is known for its sweet potato hashbrowns. I didnt try them but my friend told me they were too mushy. I had the sweet potato fries- I really liked them! Portions are good too- I didnt have leftovers so it came out great.

Hashbrowns has to be in my top 5 favorite breakfast/brunch diners in Chicago, there is quite a few, so that is saying a lot. This small, cozy yet bustling with business restaurant specializes in their house hashbrowns (says the name) and their many original omelets. Generally though, I usually take in the large plate of choc. chip pancakes along with a side of Killer Hashbrowns (which I highly recommend for sour cream lovers). The wait can be 25-30 minutes during the weekend rush...good thing there are odd people sculptures (whats up with that? disneyland?) outside to keep you company.

I have been to Hash Browns over a dozen times. I love having brunch here. For potato lovers, the variety of hashbrowns available on the menu makes it feel like heaven! Their omelets and other egg dishes are quite generous in their portions. I have not sampled any of their pancakes, but I have seen them, and they look amazing! For those who are not fans of breakfast, they do have burgers and some other non-breakfast stuff. It is a cash only place and the only ATMs in the area are the generic ones that charge ridiculous fees. So come prepared.

Mainly breakfast dishes all served with a side of, guess? Hash Browns! Love it! They also have sandwiches and burgers. I tried the club sandwich and added avocado with a side of regular fries rather than hash browns. Loved it! It was a big portion, very satisfying, fries were good enough. Its good. A bit of a small space so it gets crowded quickly. Service is excellent.

The Maxwell omelette was horrible. The omelette was dry and completely bland not to mention the salsa they supposedly serve with the omelette was just ketchup. The omelette was mostly egg with sprinkles of steak. They told us 5-10 Mins until the food was ready but really should have taken an extra 10 to add some flavor and steak. The service was decent though.

Over priced, small portions and mediocre food...to top it off, we used a groupon that was 3 days old and they wouldnt even take the value of what we paid for it, which is against groupon policy...the groupon face value was only $7..it was more about customer service than the money....the hash browns werent even that good..I will never go back...

Just returned from Hash Browns. The steak hamburger is made from real steak, the gristle was mixed in and the burger was a little chewy, small but good. However watch out for the famous sweet potato fries! Ours were cold, soggy and dripping with oil. Just what you don’t want in Sweet potato fires. I feel sick now.

Can I give it six stars? This place was great. After a terrible experience at another place the night before, Tanya was a breath of fresh air. She was polite, outgoing, and quick with our stuff. The entire staff was excellent. The food was just what I hoped. If youre in the area, check this place out!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day here! Good breakfast and brunch offerings, no liquor here so dont count on mimosas. I went here on a warm summer day and recall they did not have air conditioning which I felt was odd since it does get warm inside with the exposed kitchen grill.

Worst breakfast I have ever ordered. The pancakes were bland and doughy, the guacamole looks about two days old and the hash browns were soggy, even after specifically asking for extra crispy. They cant even make their namesake correctly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

The wife and I had just arrived, after a red-eye. Needed to refuel before heading downstate. My wife knows Im picky about my foods, and swore up and down the breakfast was phenomenal; needless to say, she was spot-on. Great food, inviting atmosphere, and awesome service.
