RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL MANAGER/OWNER!!! This morning, I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend. Entering the restaurant, the waitress was friendly and down to earth. She seated us, took our order and was very attentive. We finished our meal but i was still sipping coffee. The restaurant was becoming increasingly busier with people waiting at the door to be seated. Im assuming the man with a noticable accent was the owner/manager as he yelled at his staff to hurry up cleaning the tables. He YELLS at them, in front of customers, to "HURRY UP AND GET THE PLATES! I DONT WANT TO SEE PLATES" We noticed the waitresses rushing around, dropping things while one even telling us how hes "always like this." Either way, we placed our money at the end of the table and waited for the waitress. It was so uncomfortable. The manager (same guy yelling) walks over to us and tells us that other people are waiting to eat. We push our money towards him and inform him that were just waiting for someone to grab our money. He then SLAMS HIS FIST on our table and says "I DONT WANT YOUR MONEY I WANT YOU TO GET OUT!!" I was beyond shocked! My boyfriend then gets up and argues to him that were paying money to eat here and how dare he slams his hand on our table telling us to leave! He then threatened to call the police on us while calling my boyfriend a THUG! As we proceeded to leave, the waitresses apologized to us saying that this is his normal behavior. Ive never felt so offended and embarrassed! We did absolutely nothing wrong and was very kind to everyone in there. Its not our fault the restaurant became busier. He had no respect for the customer. He just wanted to get our money and us the hell out so the next person can come, eat and get the hell out. I will never visit this restaurant again. THIS BEHAVIOR SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED! I ADVISE YOU TO PICK ANOTHER BREAKFAST RESTAURANT TO SPEND YOUR MONEY!! THEY DONT DESERVE YOUR MONEY!

I visited this pancake house for the first time on November 30, 2013. My waitress was very pleasant and the food was good. My guest and I had finished eating and was offered a cup of coffee from the waitress. Once the restaurant started filling up, a man, who later identified himself as the owner, very rudely started clearing our table. The manner in which he so rudely reached over us and made it very clear that he wanted us to leave the table for other guests. He also made the comment to us as we finally realized that he was trying to get us to leave. This explains why the waitress failed to offer us a refill on my orange juice or if we wanted any thing else. Since my friend asked about coffee, she had no other choice but to come back to our table. When I went to the counter to ask to speak with the owner, I realized the owner was the rude man who cleared the table. He very loudly, in front of patrons, said "you cannot just sit at a table all day. I dont need your $20 (which was visible in my hand)". I said to him that I did not notice that he went to any other table asking patrons to leave. His tone grew more belligerent and loud. I grew fearful that he was going to cause more of a scene. I said I will not be returning and he replied, "good we do not want your business". Unbelievable!

We used to go there at least once per month for Sunday breakfast. We have many friends who frequent there and loved the place. We were fans of the food and service until a recent disturbing visit. Yesterday we went there for Sunday breakfast. As usual, they were crowded so we had to wait on a table of 4. There was a white family of 4 who came in a few minutes after us and they were told to wait also. There was as table available near the front. The owner seated the white family ahead of us and told us he was preparing a booth for us (which was in the rear near the washroom). My wife asked him why did he seat the people who came in after us first. His reply was "I pay the bills here and I can seat people when and how I want to." I said what. He repeated it, this time louder saying, I am the owner and I can seat people how I want. When you pay the bills you can seat people how you want. We decided to walk out. On our way out he stated to not come back. Well, he got his wish.

The food is very good and I regularly frequent this place. I truly recommend it if you like a traditional family restaurant for breakfast. As others indicated below the owner is a ~60 year old Greek man. I converse with him frequently. Although there is no excuse for his behavior others have experience at times. I discovered in my many conversations with him that he is frustrated with the level of business and the competition in the area with sports bars and Applebees. He just wanted to run a good family restaurant and has been for over 20 years, no doubt revenue is down and he is struggling to keep it open. The demographics in the area is changing and not many families are choosing this restaurant over the competition. Good quality food cost more. BTW the reason most restaurants do not like to split checks is because they loose money on the credit card fees for such a small amount if you pay using your card; compared to a single transaction for the table.

I was in the restaurant this sunday morning. I found the staff fast and efficient . I decided to order that strip steak. I knew I made a mistake when I tried to eat it. I am a person who never complaints but ii rationalized that the proper thing to do plus to bring it to their attenion the owner came to my table fuming and asked me what was wrong with the steak.too which I replied to taste it for himself. he told me he has only had 1 complaint in 14 Years And that thestreak had cost him 9 dollars Furthermore there was to be no charge for my meal And I was to leave and not come back. That lesson here is If You want mediocre or questionable food. And that possibility of a basil fawlty impression if you complain go there

We ate here as a last resort due. The servers and host were nice enough; the service was decent. I give this place two stars based solely on the food quality. The food was subpar in taste; so much so that none of 6 people in my party had a desire to eat all of our food and most of us ordered pancakes. In addition, the size of the cup of jusice that came with our meals was smaller than a childs sippy cup. It was barely enough to wet the pallette, let alone satisfy the thirst associated with eating pancakes and sausage.

Very nice restaurant. My family and I have been going there for years. The owner and the rest of the workers are very nice and friendly. Your food comes fast and they fix it the way you want it. The prices are good especially for the amount of food you get. If they make a mistake they fix it right away. The customer is treated like royalty there. The bathrooms are always clean however take some hand sanitizer because the hot water in the bathroom is ice cold.
