a local chain with a few locations around Chicago (Streeterville, Old Town, Andersonville, Lakeview, Wicker Park and Ukrainian Village). I went to the Streeterville location thats close to Navy Pier but a little off the beaten path, so I would suspect it doesnt get too touristy, which is ideal for me. the atmosphere was nice. family friendly. not too hipster. the food was good. I ordered potato pancakes with a side of apple chicken sausage. the sausage was tasty and browned just right. the potato pancakes were really dense - one more so than the other - but the flavor was really good. my boyfriend had the corned beef hash, with nice big chunks of corned beef and Brussels sprouts mixed with nice chunks of potatoes. I liked it and he seemed to enjoy it - he cleaned the plate. he also said the coffee was really good. I dont drink coffee so youll have to take his word for it. there were plenty of menu options, including several vegetarian and vegan options. overall it was a solid restaurant. I will add it to my list of go-to spots when Im in Chicago.

Just finished brunch here. A lot of options so I will definitely be returning! They are very accommodating on orders as well. We started off with monkey bread (I would pass on this) it was dry and very dense. I wanted a waffle but the only one they had on the menu was a smores waffle which had 4 different things on it all which would cause the ultimate sugar coma and feeling awful for the rest of the day. I asked if I could just get a waffle with Nutella and they were accommodating and did it no problem. My husband had the baked French toast (Ill add a picture of that) it was massive and looked amazing as well. We ended up taking half home. My mother in law had the oats and asked for milk with it and they brought her cold milk to mix in with her hot oats (should have been warm milk) she also asked for some brown sugar on it which never came on it so that was disappointing. My father in law had a make your own omelette which he enjoyed. We beat the rush because when we left there was a huge line inside and outside! Cant wait to go back!

Unfortunately it didnt live up to all its hype for us. The food looked delicious as we stood around for 30 mins to wait for a table of 2 ... (there were a bunch outside empty) I guess the kitchen was backed up hence why we had to wait so long to get a table and then an additional 22 mins for our breakfast. Ordered the crab cakes Benedict, not sure it was authentic crab used and I had a mixture of raw and well done potatoes :(. But the real kicker were the biscuits and gravy with two way-undercooked sunny side up eggs ... sent them back as the eggs whites were do a jiggling dance on the dried up gravy. When they brought the eggs back, all they did was flip them over and the eggs were still raw under all that mess. So turned off at their failed attempt to remedy the dish. Sent it back and didnt order anything else. Not worth the hour wait in total ... IMO.

Came here in the morning right before going to the Navy Pier. Loved the breakfast here. There was a fresh and lively vibe. Around 8am on Saturday it wasnt busy, but quickly filled up. Lots of options and alternatives for the food selective. My eggs benny english muffin was easily subbed for a gluten free version; i was able to have almond milk with my latte, no extra cost. I got the Pork Belly benedict, but I didnt love it, the meat was dry and wasnt as flavourful as I hoped. Hubby got the crab cake Benedict. It was really good and you can taste the crab meat. It was a top an english muffin as well, but didnt need to me. Would recommend if you were in the area.

Amazing food and atmosphere! We did have to wait 45 min to be seated but it was totally worth it! The restaurant is small but intimate. I am definitely a foodie and love finding awesome restaurants in the city. I had the baked french toast, roasted potatoes and bacon. My bf had the crunchy french toast. Everything was delicious! Our server was Matt and he was honest about the best food options and very attentive. He was great! Thanks for making our first visit really awesome! We will return soon.

First experience great waiter attentive service, down side hair in food . Second experience was horrible server took our order, someone else dropped it off and we were never checked on again until she dropped the check off . We sat outside but she still checked her other table . My food was really dry and I sat without a beverage through most of my meal , just wasnt impressed with the quality of food either time and service the second time was bad enough to make another chance impossible.

Walked in to see a few open tables. The hostesses mumbled something about no open tables and the counter. We said sure. They handed us menus and pointed toward the counter where we say with our coats in our laps. Got some water in a dirty glass which our waiter gladly replaced. Ordered biscuits and gravy. The fried egg on top had visible uncooked whites. The biscuits were old and very dry. Aside from a nice waiter there was not a lot to like about this place.

Fresh OJ and strawberry was full of sugar. Egg white omelet was bland. Tried to get a breakfast burrito but apparently they cant alter it ( to delete or substitute an ingredient). Service and staff are standard professional. Atmosphere is OK, not their fault but the close by construction can make it loud. Overall, below average breakfast experience especially for the price. I would try it one more time to make sure it wasnt only one negative experience.

Great dining experience. Promptly sat, waited on quickly and food was delicious. Nice wait staff. Exactly what I was hoping for with breakfast. I ordered the Kanelas French Toast; it came with cream and apricot preserves and it was light and flavorful with a moist texture. My girlfriend got the Crabcake Benedict. I was nervous about it having an overpowering seafood flavor, but it was just right! Really impressed. Thanks for the breakfast!

Everything was perfect from the service, to the food. If you enjoy a cup of hot dark Joe this is definitely the place. A place with monkey bread had to be crazy good and it was! I normally like my chicken and waffles with bone in chicken but their chicken breast was breaded just right and ooooh so juicy! The pork sausage patties are freshly made and look like little burgers! We will definitely be going back.
