As many people have pointed out about this location, this is an unique bar with intimately lit bar as the bar is full of Tiffany style lamps and chandeliers with good selection of beer at a good price for being a bar in Midtown. I have been here mostly for after party of an event and/or parties. One of the perk for this bar is that it has its own parking lot with decent amount of parking, did I mention theres no charge to park in the lot as well? One of the thing you have to remember is that the bar is really dark and on the weekends, it will be blasting dance music for some reason as in my opinion, it doesnt really fit to the mood of the bar but hey, Im not the owner, so I dont get to say what music should be played there. But for the past few times Ive been there, theres always been a special priced drinks for the weekend as it collides with special after party for certain events. Its definitely a great place to hang out, have a drink, and chill. Now in my opinion, it could be a great place for a date night for you to take someone youre just starting to date. However, as I mentioned earlier about the music, it tends to get a bit loud so its hard to have an one on one conversation with the person without the possibility asking him or her "What?" or "Could you say that again?" Other than that, this is one awesome, unique bar that hopefully it will be here for the next few years.

I had my wedding reception here on a very rainy Sunday. All I can say is Wow! This place exceeded all of my expectations. First of all, it is absolutely gorgeous. Tiffany lamps, classic movies in the background. I fell in love immediately with the setup alone. I could not believe I was getting something so perfect for such a great price. How often can you say that about weddings? Clark was also very prompt with communication about all of my ridiculous little questions. He was super flexible and very helpful to my family members who were there early to set up everything. The day of the wedding, Clark was there to escort my guests with umbrellas to the venue until my husband and i were announced. The bartenders were complete gentlemen. One of them patiently tolerated my three year old nephew (who decided this bartender was his new buddy) as he worked. To top it all off, Clark saw our memorial for my brothers unable to be at the wedding due to their military service and honored them in a very special way. I was so touched by this, I wish I could do more to advertise for this venue. If you are thinking of booking this venue, just do it! There were no cons to this place! Do it!

Thanks goes to Clark for making our wedding day one for the books. Not only did our guests unfamiliar with this gem get a total kick out of the place, but even our local guests were charmed by the existence of this place. What a beautiful backdrop for pictures! Clark was responsive from the start about questions we had regarding a reception at his venue; he was patient as we were still deciding on our date and location; he was professional during the evening even when there were things that we didnt expect. He worked with my dad so our plan for a piano duet instead of a father/daughter dance could happen, and I didnt hear any complaints from our guests about the staff that evening. I truly enjoy this place, and it will always hold a special place in our memories (even though we hope to make more there in the future)!

If I was only rating the decor it would be a 5, the place was so beautiful it reminded me of the bars and restaurants I visited in Spain. I rated 3 stars because of the atmosphere. Why have a beautiful antique bar and play top hits? It immediately made the place feel a little trashy. Also for a bar that prints classic cocktails on their menus youd think the bartenders would have knowledge of other cocktails that werent just Jack and coke or vodka cranberry. When I see aviation on the menu I guess I assumed they would know what a Tom Collins was but I was wrong. Not a huge issue but I feel like the bar is filled with wasted opportunity. If they were to "antique" the place up beyond hanging lamps on the ceiling I think this place would be an actual gem.

Art Bar is my number one go-to bar. Its unique, romantic, and has been a place full of great memories for my friends and me. Its definitely not the type of place to go to and take shots or get plastered, but its perfect for a chill night full of laughter and good conversations. The prices are great and I usually choose their house wine. The tiffany lamps make the bar unique and I spend more time than I would like to admit staring at them trying to pick a favorite. I had a work happy hour there last month and it could not have been better. There is no rental fee for the room in the back, you can bring in outside food, and the bartenders are so easy to work with. If you havent been to Art Bar, I suggest you go tonight!

I went here because of an event, but definitely wouldnt have gone there otherwise. No food at this bar. Just drinks. Outside of the bar is very dark and sketchy. Inside the lamps are beautiful and romantic even, but underneath that intentionally crafted romance is a layer of old-ness, grime even that is very off putting. The bartender wasnt very friendly and seem to not want to be bothered with customers. Definitely dont go here on a random night on the town. There are better bars with fun atmospheres. Would say drinks were cheap. $4 - $5 for a glass of wine.

A bar in Midtown with a lot of free parking! So after driving around for half and hour trying to find that magical free spot, just pull into here because they seem to always have me a spot. Nothing to fancy drink wise here. The main attraction is the unique atmosphere created by the many lamps on the ceiling. Lots dark corners good for couples to hide in and at the same time there is plenty of open space inside so perfect for a group as well. As entertainment you can sit back with your date and watch the show of Instagram selfies that stream through.

THEY STOLE MONEY FROM ME. Added drinks to my credit card. Owner is a complete Jerk - rude and impatient. So many things wrong with my visit ... cockroach crawled under the table ... Cool lamps on the ceiling... whatever. This place should not be a destination for a night out. To the owner: THANKS! for refusing to close out my tab ... yeah Im talking to you with the tattoo on your lower forearm - lazy, inconsiderate ... good qualities to make your patrons feel welcome.

I was here with a large group and they supplied us with canvases and paints and had us interpret an example painting of the Houston cityscape on top of the Texas flag. I was not sure what to expect but the staff were fun and once everyone got started it was a lot of fun. They decorations are very interesting and the patio outside looked like a great place to hangout. It appeared to be an interesting place to take people for a different night out.
