Food is good, but its beyond ridiculous for two basic rolls to take 95 minutes to get to my place. I live 6 blocks from the restaurant. I called to check on my food. Guy answers the phone with, "hello", not the name of the restaurant. Whaaaat? Then he tells me he will call me back after he speaks to the driver. Ill give you one guess whether or not he actually did that. 20 minutes later, the food finally shows up. I told the driver it took way too long to get here. He gave me a dirty look and walked away, not even a "sorry". Well guess what Blowfish? In a city with sushi restaurants up and down the street, I have oodles of other options to order from going forward. Hope you enjoyed my money, you wont be getting any more of it (and I usually ordered from you every week).

Tremendously kind wait staff, and even the sushi chefs, greeted my boyfriend and I as we entered the establishment, and their helpfulness and courtesy continued throughout our meal. We had two rolls that were really delicious (the spicy crunchy tuna and spicy salmon). Even the ginger they served was mild and not overly pickled. Then we shared a bowl of the Beef Brisket Ramen. The meat was tender and the broth was really satisfying (though a little spicy, so beware if thats not your forte). All in all, it was an excellent experience from start to finish and we both agreed we will be coming back again in the near future!

This little gem is tucked away on the strip just near the L tracks. The staff are friendly and the modern Japanese-American ambience is wonderful, with quiet pop music and other hits playing in the background. The classic sushi rolls are tasty and fresh. You can see the chefs making it right behind the back counter. The signature ramen dishes are also pretty darn good, like the spicy beef brisket soup (its spicy, bring tissues for your nose). Splitting two classic sushi rolls and one ramen soup was enough to satisfy two people at a good price. Were definitely coming back to this local spot.

My wife and I have been to this restaurant a few times for sushi and have never been disappointed. This time we tried their ramen, and it didnt disappoint. The broth was rich in flavor, and all of the toppings were cooked beautifully. The pork was tender and marinated to perfection. While sushi will always be our favorite at Blowfish, well definitely get the ramen again.

This place is not even worth walking in to. I only lasted there for 5 minutes and left. Absolutely no worst service. I asked about a Cheverly special and got a response thats its a roll. Well I absolutely know that its sushi roll, wanted to know what kind of roll. Really bad service, and not much of help or choice. I rather pay more and get better choice options

The food was not good at all. Saturday around 1 pm and the pork buns were kind of chewy, and no plates were offered, the ramen took quite sometime to come out. We could hear the microwave going off few times. The broth was warm (hot is what I am used to) the egg was cold and the meat just room temperature. Overall not good Ramen and service was just bad.

The food is good! I really enjoy the ramen here. The noodles are a nice texture in a flavorful broth. They get three stars on the food alone and would get five but their service is a joke. Typically from what Ive seen it is one person rushing to cover an entire floor. Ive walked out before being served on two separate occasions here.

Black garlic ramen is the best. The pork just melts in your mouth. The four star is because of service, there are only two people working during peak hours. They were mixing up orders. They didnt have time to refill water glasses or check on tables. Even after not getting great service, I would still come back for the food though.

Good portion size, good noodle consistency, broth was okay, pork belly was not of the fall of the bone variety. I was also not a fan of the spinach in the soup, otherwise I usually love spinach. This is good enough for days when I dont feel like going across town all the way to Logan Square/Wicker Park for more savory options.

Quiet, Cozy, Excellent Food traditional or creative sushi!! Take friends from out of town here all the time two thumbs up!! The owner is very appreciative of the business very humble and excellent excellent chef!!! Creamy scallop roll, firecracker roll, smoky eye roll and my FAVORITE the sweet potato roll!!

Sushi and bargain are two words that tend not to mix but this place delivers excellent food at a more than reasonable price. I loved the crabby tacos & firecracker roll and will be back to try the ramen. Ive been to both of the previous sushi places that occupied this spot and Blowfish "blows" them away!

You guys have the best Ramen Ive ever had. I thought the best of this restaurant until I tried your delivery service. Ive had 2 AWFUL experieces with DELIVERY. You should deal with this operational issue before you kill your product. The gap is two big and is not good for your business

Other than the weird techno music, blowfish is wonderful. Their ramen is some of the best in the city(if not the best). The service is great and the sushi is really good. I used to come here all the time when I lived in edgewater and now I take the train up just for Blowfish.

I love this place! I got the Philadelphia Roll and tried my friends Sweet Potato Roll, and both were absolutely delicious. The miso soup was also great. I just moved to Chicago, and I can already tell that this is going to be my sushi place.

My delivery arrived 45 minutes late and at room temperature. Driver said that hed only been given the order 10 minutes before he arrived. I kept trying to call, but I got a message indicating that the voicemail was full.

Excellent sushi at a decent price. This place is always busy but they are so fast you can usually get a table. Very quick. The service is good and its BYOB. Theres street parking close by or just take the train.

I ordered for delivery on a Friday evening... The food was great (especially the spider roll), but the food took 1hr and 45min to arrive. Not the speed that I was looking for.
