Keep an eye on the waitstaff. The waitress that waited on us brought me the "finalized" check that only had the total and the line to leave a tip, but didnt bring me the itemized check that showed what we ordered and the prices. I thought that was kind of strange so I asked her to bring me the itemized check. Needless to say, it became clear to me why she didnt bring me the itemized check. There were charges on the itemized check that should not have been on there. Specifically, the menu indicated that up to two (2) kid meals are $1 each with the order of an adult entree. I ordered an adult entree and ordered two kid meals that should have only cost me $2.00. I specifically pointed this out to the waitress BEFORE I ordered. Nonetheless, she tried to charge me $5.99 per each kid meal. Also, the gratuity was already included in the finalized bill she initially gave me even though there were only 5 of us at the table (3 adults and 2 kids). She conveniently didnt tell me that the gratuity/tip was already included and I was going to leave a 20% tip on the check she first brought me. If I hadnt asked for the itemized check and caught the over-charges and included gratuity, I would have paid approximately $25.00 more than I should have. The food was fine and I didnt have any issues with it. But, because of the waitress, I will never eat there again or recommend it to anyone. If you are going to this restaurant, when it comes to the wait staff, CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!!!!

Ive eaten here on multiple occassions and what I can honestly say brings me back is the food. The service however is typically disappointing. Most recently I walked in to place a to go order at approximately 10:15 pm, several staff members walked past me which I was able to over look since I didnt mind the time to look at the menu. When I finally was able to get someones attention at 10:32, I was told the "to go lady" had already left. So I asked if I could receive my order as if I was dining in and place it in a to go box myself. The staff member said he supposed that would be ok. When I attempted to order sushi I was told the cutoff time was 10:30, the time was now 10:33. Perhaps I am over reacting, but I found this to be such a failure of customer service. I understand kitchens close at certain times, but it was apparent to me that they were still receiving an influx of customers. It just seems counter productive to deny all of these patrons of your token meals as well as turning away potential income. I like their food, Im just no longer a big fan after this experience.

9/15/2016 - 11:54am -how is this place still open? never been to this place and thought of going as I wanted some different Asian food than whats currently available in the RGV. No website to look up info, so I called to see if they did a schezchuan chicken was told by someone calling herself "Maria" that they do schezcghuan beef not chicken. So now Im thinking how intricate is it to use chicken instead of beef in a dish? She didnt offer to ask the chef if this could be done and had a piss poor attitude...This is typical valley attitude & customer service when it comes to service in restaurants so I just thanked her and hung up. They lost a [potential] customer who was going to go there for a celebration to include several people but has never been there and now WILL NEVER GO. Thank you "maria" / "hector" I wonder if the owner knows that his [telephone answering] staff are unprofessional & driving away potential customers.

No respect toward customers from the rude manager in charge. Kindly asked for the projector to be turned off since we were the only customers eating... response was "no because we may have other customers come in who want to watch it" ...I advised it was giving everyone at the table a head ache and could be harmful. Manager said its in the policy that they MUST keep the projector on. I asked for documentation of that. He said he couldnt produce it. I then replied it must be a made up policy and asked what he would do if any of the customers had epilepsy. ..he asked for proof of epilepsy. A customer should not need to produce medical documents just to dine in comfort. Yea...the food is great, so is the atmosphere, but very difficult to enjoy with that managers rude attitude.

This definitely Not the place for sashimi our related fare. The chirashi was >90% rice tired with a frosting of poorly prepared sashimi. My companions noodles were not with putting in a doggie bag. I wonder if the owner has tried the dishes? Chalk up another sucky, supposedly Asian, restaurant where the high prices and food quality simply dont match.

The bartender tonight was an ass.. upset because the lemon pepper wings were over salted.. couldnt handle the amount of beers going out. Totally ruined what could of been a great night hanging with friends... If you dont like bartending, get a REAL career like most of the patrons who come in have.. JERK... OH... AND HES A BAR MANAGER... NOT!!!!

Actually, I found this restaurant to be better than average during lunch hour on a Thursday. I had a lettuce wrap. It was decent. Head lettuce was served. I prefer leaf.The price and portion was fine. The waitress was attentive and pleasant. I would come back for a dinner just to see how they do on the sushi and main courses.

Atrocious-tasting food and subpar service. Not worth the cost of the food. Wait staff was completely uneducated on menu items when asked, which led to incorrect orders and dissatisfied experiences. There are many other superior sushi restaurants in the area, like Kumori and even Maki.

This restaurant is great, the design inside is amazing! The food is awesome and extremely fast! Youll never have to wait to get a table. They have happy hour every day from 3pm to closing! That means beer, margaritas, sushi and more between 1.50-3$!!! I love this place!!!

Walking up to the building, my first impression was "very clean building" but as I entered the bar area I was surprised to find a dirty bar with dishes and used rags on the counter top. Not what I expected at all.

Great place to go if you work late and want to grab a bite to eat with friends. It can get a little loud at times at night, but the dining side is closed late and youre sitting on the bar side so its expected.

Coast is an awesome place! They have great prices on their beer and fresh made sushi rolls. Foods good, service is great. Would have been a five star had I not found a hair in my food.

The Box Lunch was excellent. The view is pretty good. The only thing is that it takes a long time to get your order. But if you do have the time, then youll enjoy this place.
