Best Burger in town and great prices. No fancy fake menu like those other burger places that are not as good . From hotdogs to trout dinners, fried chicken and milkshakes. Zacks has served Charlotte with great food since the 70s. Ive been eating here for 20+ years. Moved out of the neighborhood years ago and I still go back for the Zacks Special (double cheeseburger w/ lettuce, onion, pickle, light mayo and Zacks Special sauce)almost weekly. Try the homeade Onion Rings also. Always crispy on the outside. Friendly staff and great service. Family run business so you know it will be great each and every time.

Since 1975, Zacks has been serving up burgers like a short order line. Thin, slightly greasy, on a sesame seed bun. Their fries are the kind made famous by McDonalds, but with a better quality and taste. Zacks is a step out of the 70s with the architecture and menu and I dont think its changed a bit since then. Its like your favorite diner from when you were growing up never closed down and is just like you left it. Are there other, better places to get the same fare? Sure. But they dont fill the same nostalgia quite like Zacks.

Ive had Zacks countless times and Love their food every single time we have them. Whenever my family visits from out of town, we recommend Zacks. Theyre a down home, Southern, burger joint with some of the best food. The Zacks Special (double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and Zacks sauce served with fries) is my absolute favorite. Although its not the best Ive tried in the city, their pulled pork sandwich is good as well. Their service is excellent as well. I would highly recommend making a visit to Zacks.

I was expecting way too much out of this place after reading all of the reviews. I was pretty disappointed. I ordered the 2 hot dog meal and my husband ordered the hamburger steak. The fries and onion rings tasted stale. My hotdogs were a little bit undercooked. We expected the hamburger steak to come with even a little bit of gravy. There was no gravy and only a few onions- which my husband didnt even eat those and he loves onions. I gave it 3 stars because it was cheap and fast. However, we probably wont be going back.

Can never go wrong with Zachs! Some of the best burgers in Charlotte, and the Zachs Special is a great deal. My wifes favorite place to go when she was expecting (the owner George even brought out a free dish of ice cream with a pickle for her). The service is top notch, and the food is worth the wait even when lines are out the door during lunch hour. The inside is classic diner themed and frequented by locals who dont go anywhere else for a burger. If you havent eaten here yet, then youre missing out.

My cousin and I drove from Columbia, SC up to Charlotte to try out Zacks Hamburgers. We were honestly a little worried if it would be all that great. The prices seemed a little too cheap to expect such quality food. Yet when we saw our order, we knew it would be all we hoped for. Seriously, the burgers, fries and shake were all excellent. If a Zacks opened up near us, I dont think wed go anywhere else for a burger. If you have any doubts, dont. The place was fantastic!

My purpose for going to Scaleybark was to go to the library. While inside.. I was thinking of somewhere to eat, turn around the corner there was Zacks!! Went in and ordered a special cheeseburger and fries. The taste of these freshly grilled and prepared burgers are so good. I am from New York and been down for two months and I am addicted already. I am telling anyone, it is worth a try and it has pleasing prices. GO ZACKS keep up the good work!

Me and my family just tried Zacks today for the 1st time. The food is absolutely delicious. I am a picky eater myself in which most of the burgers I eat only have ketchup, bacon, and lettuce. I tried Zacks version of my burger and it was the best one I ever. My mother loves the ice tea and my stepfather loves the grilled chicken salad. Best burger place in Charlotte! I am definitely an all American burger and fries type of guy and my wife and I came here to give it a try and we were very pleased. No frills; simple and sweet dining with large portions and a throw-back decor. I got the Zacks special cheeseburger and am still thinking about it! She got the fish, shrip and fries and couldnt finish it all. Keep doing what you are doing!

What can you say? Its ZACKs!! The best food for the money in Charlotte! Today I had the Zacks Special double cheese burger with fries. Only a doctor wouldnt be. delighted! Out fast and hot, it was a delight. The fries were exceptional. Not too salty, crisp but not overdone and flavorable. The sweet tea...Southern all the way! The South Ends best value and youll love the retro music!

One word awesome!!!! A lot better than McDonalds on south blvd and arrowood rd. The food was hot an fresh order was right customer service was great! Where at McDonalds on south blv. And arrow wood rd. The food is always cold the order is always wrong and the service is really really bad. I will never eat at McDonalds again Zacks is my new spot!!!! Thanks Zacks!!!!

If you are looking for a burger joint thats setting is that of the 50s / 60s then this is your place! The staff here are super friendly and the burgers are simply hands down THE BEST IN TOWN! If you drop in I suggest the Zacks Special. To be a small business like this, just off the beaten path and to last 35+ years, youve got to be doing something right!

This place is heaven. I have been going there for over ten years and I still only get the Zacks Special cheeseburger. I dont know how the cheeseburger could be better. They use the thin fries that taste like you remember McDonalds fries tasting like when you were a kid. The staff is super friendly and you feel like right at home each time you go in.

Great food and reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. I am enjoying their food more than a decade at least once weekly and theirs food was always excellent! Excellent trout and shrimp dinners for seafood lovers. They are also taking phone orders which I find very convenient. This is simple place where you can eat good, fresh food.

THE LONGEST HAIR WAS IN MY FOOD NASTY ,NASTY, NASTY, NASTY, NASTY NASTY understanding busy and all but at least 3 people handle my order from the cook, expo window, person who handed me my order. People choose elsewhere to eat if they cant see that what else are they overlooking???????????☹☹☹☹☹

Good find since it is right off South Blvd and close to the office. Menu is good with tons of variety, prices are really good and the food is great. Cant beat the burger deals and the milkshakes are thick! The kitchen gets your order up fast and its tasty. Definitely a place to go to often.
