My daughter and I tried their buffet today (5/19/17) after driving by. The restaurant is inviting and the greeter was kind enough to point out items on the buffet that contained peanuts/cashews since my daughter has an allergy. Im a long time Indian consumer and in all my years, Ive never ran across green colored chicken in Chicken Tiki Masala or any other Indian dish containing chicken. The sauce was well flavored but I stopped eating once I noticed that. I asked one male waiter and he must not have understood my question because his response was to confirm that the meat was chicken. Another guy walked up (because he could tell there was a problem) and his explanation was not satisfactory. He told me they prepare all meats together and it is normal for the chicken to look green in a masala and that it is safe to consume. I wouldnt bet money on his explanation and am wondering what a health inspector might say. The food we tried was tasty, however if you serve green chicken and cant explain it with food dye, theres a problem somewhere. Check out the picture for proof. Also, they keep the utensils in the section where two buffet stands meet. The fresh hot Naan is kept in a basket right in front of the silverware so while youre waiting to make it to the next buffet section, people are walking in front of you and hovering over the naan just to get silverware. I didnt grab any naan after seeing that because peoples hair and any particles from their upper body could easily fall into the naan basket. Please do better! Response to owner: I had the Chicken Tiki Masala. That is the meal that had green chicken. Can you please share the ingredients? Thank you for your quick response.

Ive eaten at well over 10 different Indian restaurants in Atlanta and this one is the best so far. Their menu is so extensive you will need 5 minutes to decide what to eat. Separated into North and South Indian cuisine it runs the gambit of vegetarian to meant dishes, even offering tofu as a replacement for any meat item. The dishes were a little heat spicier than Im used to, but Im a mild food kinda guy. The bread selection is quite extensive with a full and interesting appetizer list. They cant serve alcohol till next month, but meanwhile they encourage you to pick something up from the liquor store next door. The service was excellent, well beyond what i expected. He made some food recommendations to our table and gave us a free appetizer (yelp coupon). I understand that individual experiences will be different. based on food selections and what server/chef you get that day, but i think Mint is off to a great start especially since they have been in business for less than a year. Ive just moved into the neighborhood and was hopping to find a good Indian restaurant. Im just glad i found it first try thanks to google map reviews.

I dont usually give reviews but I had to this time. I dont usually eat Indian food but I wanted to give it a try. Late afternoon after work. My first impression of the restaurant was it was clean and inviting. The waiter was helpful and give me suggestions for my order. The food was delivered hot and the wait was short. I was a little apprehensive about the 80% inspection rating, but was starving. I started to eat and thought, the food was not A/rating but it had some flavor. Unfortunately, after eating about a quarter of my meal, I found a long black hair in my food. It was DISGUSTING! All of the remaining food was trashed! I immediately called the restaurant and the person apologized and offered a refund. I didnt want any money back and Needless to say, I will not be eating there again. I would have given 3 stars but this was unacceptable. To the staff: Please keep your customers safe and practice good hygiene! This shouldve never happened.

This is the best Indian buffet Ive been to in Atlanta. I came here for lunch on a Saturday and was extremely impressed with the quality of the food. They have a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, all of which tasted delicious. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and the food was perfectly prepared, bringing out complex flavors in each bite. They also bring hot naan to your table, which is a nice change from the typical Indian buffet restaurant that leaves wilted naan sitting in the buffet bar for hours. What impressed me the most is that the food was prepared without a lot of heavy cream and oil. Most Indian restaurants overdo it with the heavy curries, but Taj Biryani managed to prepare delicious Indian food that didnt leave me feeling guilty at the end of the meal. I really hope this restaurant does well. Atlanta and Smyrna especially are in need of a good Indian restaurant. I cant wait to return to try them for dinner.

If you havent been here, you dont know what youre missing. We live in Smyrna and have been frequenting Swapna for years. We ventured out tonight and tried Taj Biryani. We ordered several entrees because we couldnt decide on just one each. We ended up getting the Malai Kofta, Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Biryani, and Chicken Vindaloo. Each dish was amazing. For dessert, we ordered carrot pudding, it turned out they were out of it it so the manager brought us two complimentary mango desserts that were phenomenal. The service was excellent. Our server was very helpful in navigating the menu. If you like good Indian food, please PLEASE try Taj Biryani. If they dont stick around, I will be heart broken. This is now my favorite Indian restaurant in the neighborhood.

I went in to this restaurant today to check out their lunch buffet on a nice Sunday afternoon. I cant eat spicy foods but was able to have a sample and enjoy the saag paaner made with tofu instead of dairy cheese pieces. I have to say that the flavor of this dish was "to live for". It had so much wonderful flavor without the heat and I was able to enjoy it with the yummy Dosa which is gluten free. I was so... impressed that I plan to bring my relatives there that love indian food. It seems almost impossible to find an indian restaurant that can actually make vegetarian food with great flavor without the heat from the peppers and hot spices. I highly recommend this restaurant. They were so.... nice to me and it was a great dining experience.

I had a Pick up order because I was sick. The guy at the front didnt know what I was talking about until I showed him my yelp eat 24 email order. So I guess there is a disconnect between eat 24 and the restaurant. I also didnt realize I ordered appetizers and not meals [so no rice :( ]. I did make sure to put in the comments "no cheese please" and I am eating my veggie platter and it turns out the 2 big triangles are cheese, so I had to stop eating it asap. Please read the comments next time. A little pricey, but otherwise the food was delicious and the garlic naan was exactly what I was hoping for - pieces of cloves on it to help me feel better.

I wouldnt call it the best, but most valued Indian buffet restaurant in the neighbor. Some of the gravy items do note test vary well and sometime they do not refill items on buffet. Still I would love to go back for buffet lunch. They have lot of non-veg items and they serve fresh Dhosa on the table. I didnt like my dinner experience here. While taking order someone marked the Biriyani as "Very Spicy" without asking us. **********I came back to update my review here - They keep on improving. I have visited this place many times after writing this review and every time it went better.
