If youre looking for a fancy looking restaurant, then go elsewhere. If youre simply looking for an Indian food fix, look no further! Growing up in southern California, Ive had my share of many kinds of ethnic foods. Living in the very rural northwest, my husband and I always seek out any kind of ethnic food. We first found Aamar when looking for Indian food this past summer while in Atlanta for a business trip and were not disappointed: reminds us of what weve had in CA! Its so good that we made sure to come back today on another Atlanta trip -- planning on getting our Indian fix every time we come back.

I recently moved into the Luckie St area and stumbled across this little Indian restaurant next to the Rialto Theater. At first I tried the Chicken Tikka, a spicy grilled white meat chicken dish marinated with a special "Tondoori sauce." The second dish I had was Shrimp Bhoona, stir-fried in an Indian wok with onions, tomatoes, and green bell peppers. Both dishes were absolutely amazing and I highly recommend this restaurant! Next time I visit I plan on getting the Goal Shobjir Jhol, Ive heard nothing but great things about it and they are one of the few places in town that serves goat.

The food here is amazing! I visited this place almost a year ago. I came in there wanting to order the Curry Chicken, but I wanted something different when I saw the menu. I asked one of the workers for advice and he said I would like the Chicken Boohna. He said if I didnt like it, he would make the curry chicken. I ended up loving it and have been trying to find the name of the dish since I moved to NYC. The service was awesome and so was the food. Truly a great place to eat!

Trhis place is a little gem! Super tiny inside but big where it counts... Good grub! Got the chicken curey and both the plain and garlic naan. The naan was almost absolutely perfect which seems to be hard for most places and they nailed it here. The rice was beautiful and the chicken curey was absolutely delicious! I feel like I got an awesome meal and for such a good price! Would highly recommend this place to people who enjoy Indian cuisine.

Totally legit vindaloo! Ordered chicken vindaloo for delivery extra spicy (both in the check-box and in special instructions.) At most places this doesnt work so well, I guess because they dont want people to call up and complain that the vindaloo is too spicy (its vindaloo!). But from this place, its like my first vindaloo all over again. Hurts so good... I think they may have snuck a bit of szechuan pepper in because I asked for extra spice.

The food was really good. I got the goat biryani, and it was very delicious. They give a 20% discount to Georgia State and Georgia Tech students. The staff was kind and were very attentive during my meal. The restaurant is pretty new from what the owners told me and it is a very small restaurant that may be easy to miss; but once you find it, you will not be disappointed. The price may be a little steep for some, but it was well worth it.

This little side cafe has the best Indian cuisine around. DO NOT waste your time anywhere else. If you are downtown for a fun time and keep smelling delicious Indian food, youre smelling it from here. The food tastes even better than it smells. My wife and I will only come here from now on. Dont expect a huge restaurant with a lot of frills. Come here to eat and enjoy. The staff are friendly, prompt, and extremely helpful. Enjoy!

Visiting from New Orleans for my 21st birthday, my boyfriend and I walked right outside our hotel and saw an Inidian Food Restuarant and it was fate! We love Indian food and we were super excited to chow down. We were not dissapointed and the service is 110% amazing! When they heard it was my birthday they gave us a free dessert! Super amazing and sweet people we highly reccomended !

I only stumbled upon this place by sheer accident late one night. The fact theyre open until midnight is a huge plus in my book since Im a night owl. I had the chicken tikka, and shrimp korma, with a side of naan. Everything was wonderful, just beyond belief truth be told. For anyone in the area late at night wanting a *real* fresh, hot, filling meal, this is the place to come.

Too small place even to accommodate 10 guests at a time but Indian food served here is reasonably ok but not economic. Taste of food is miles away from authentic Indian taste. Dal served was good so as paneer masala curry. Kheer served was tasty but with too much of sugar. Person taking oder was polite and takes note of guest choice. Do a visit to Aamar Indian Cuisine.

While the restaurant is small and a bit cramped, the food is delicious and authentic. Unlike most Indian restaurants each sauce actually does taste different, we order 3 different types of paneer and shrimp and they had a wide range of taste profiles. Really appreciate the service and staff being flexible with our 11 person group that came in at 9pm.

Too Good For Words. Im no expert on Indian food but I know I crave this place constantly, the location is very convenient for me, and the service: Wow. The staff here are always so very kind to me. The owner is always present making sure everything is perfect. Probably the most affordable food of its type and quality in all Atlanta.

We ordered delivery, using the Yelp app. Our order arrived in less than 30 minutes! Our order was: Samosas for Two, (yellow) coconut curry chicken with rice, garlic nann, mango Lassi, chicken vindaloo, and regular nann. We both enjoyed everything from here so much, that we will most definitely order from here again soon!

We went to Amar restaurant randomly on a Sunday night and were greeted immediately by the restaurants owner. The ambiance was warm and energetic w Bollywood dance hits playing on the tv and the food was authentic and tasty. The vegetable biryani is the best I have had in a long long time and the service was top notch

Nothing closer to Indian food. Worst Navaratan korma I have ever tasted in the USA. Quality doesnt justify the price at all. Navaratan korma had the cheapest 2-3 vegetables in it with water like curry no salt, spices I couldnt eat it, while navarantan korma is supposed to be creamy, have some nuts in it.

I thought the tiki masala sauce was way too tomatoey. Also the Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils were a surprise as well as the parking garage atmosphere. Beverage selection is very limited and there is no alcohol. The naan was great. Not sure if Ill visit this place again.

Wow! Loved it. Chicken coconut curry was tasty and the naan was so great. Owner was out front and was SUPER COURTEOUS and treated me like a king. This is a very casual establishment with a small seating area. Looks like they were in Uber eats and the Amazon delivery service.

I stopped in on a Sunday around 3p and it was quiet except for a family that was finishing up. Had the Beef Vindaloo....with Mixed Naan.....super tasty.....perfect spice level and the Baan was ridiculously good. Highly recommend if you are having a craving for Indian food.
