Reasons why this place didnt get 5 stars: -seating area is a bit small -buffet itself is a bit small Reasons why this place should get 5 stars: -its a true mom and pop place (no, really, from what I could tell, husband/wife run it, and they are plenty courteous) -this is the first Indian place Ive been to in STL that does NOT over saturate spices/flavor/salt/yogurt/etc. Now, Im all for the typical fare most indian places have to offer in this city, but the consistency of the food here doesnt make you feel like your stomach is trying to digest a solid brick. In short, food is plenty flavorful without being unnecessarily heavy. Dare I say its healthier because of this, too. Definitely would recommend.

One of my favorite restaurants in the St. Louis area, and by far my favorite Indian food, and Ive tried them all. A good family owned restaurant; husband runs the back of the house, and the wife runs the front, and she is always super nice and attentive. My water glass never goes empty, and she always brings me an extra glass :) I love their lunch buffet, best value in town, and most of the dishes change every day, but is always great Egg Bryiani, Pakora, Naan, Fried Bread, and Tandoori Chicken. Is generally a goat dish, a chicken dish, and a couple of vegeterian offerings in addition each day. Buffet runs 7 days a week 11:30-2PM; is $1 more on the weekend.

WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN. Worst Biryani ever. The reason management gave is that its north indian style. Does north indian stlye means uncooked? After paying the bill, I politely said that chicken Tikka masala was really good with Naan but the biryani seems uncooked and doesnt taste good. They were not in a position to even listen or accept the fact. I would prefer to starve than eating such food. I saw all the reviews and understood one thing. It is an Indian restaurant but the food is NOT for Indians. So, All the Indians, read reviews written by Indians then, come to a decision.

We are NEVER disappointed eating here. The food is AMAZING and reasonably priced, and the waitresses are so sweet and attentive. Other Indian restaurants we have visited in the past costed us $40+ for a meal; here we pay around $20-$25. Did I mention the food is sooooo good (especially that buttered naan)? And it is a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Perfect place to hit up on the nights youre too lazy to cook dinner.

I thought it would be fair to give a more recent review. Had lunch here many times, and though the food was good as always, I was disappointed with the service this time out. When my wife was paying, the lady chastised her when she forgot to sign the receipt (She only angrily said, "Sign, sign!“). I thought she could have asked nicely and not treated my wife in that way. Because of this, we wont be coming back anymore.

If youre looking for no frills, authentic Indian food, this little place is a must try. Their lunch buffet is reasonably priced (even their ala carte dinner menu is) and has a good fresh selection. We usually go late after the lunch crowd and the food is never dried out. Being Indian myself, I am always looking for well made Indian food and I have finally found it in St. Charles!

What a hidden gem in Saint Charles! We visited here on a whim wanting to try something different and out of our norm. I honestly had never had Indian food before, and the staff was very helpful in telling me what things were and they were very accommodating! The buffet was not huge, but it had a good variety of things to try. It was a great experience, and well be back!

The food was too good. We ordered samosa chaat, reshmi tikka kabab in appetizers. Then we ordered garlic naan, kashmiri naan, mashroom saag, goat korma, chicken do pyaza and mango lassi. Every dish was good. Mango lassi was little sweeter, but I liked that. The price was also reasonable. 65$ for all these orders. Good hospitality as well. Would like to visit again.

Have only been here twice. Ate in the first time and it was great, couldnt believe it wasnt packed! Came again for carry out and it was delicious! Plus they have nice to go containers so I could take it to work the next day and not worry about it spilling out. Staff has been super nice and service was great. This is a wonderful hidden gem in St. Charles!

The food was great, service was too. It is an older building, little rough around the edges, but exceptionally clean and the staff was attentive. It was slow inside too, as most guests order take out. It is a great place for a quiet date, maybe try some fancy foods if you arent hip. Veggie Pakoras are fantastic, as is Tikka Masala!

Quaint Indian restaurant with absolutely amazing food! We drive 45 minutes out of the way to go here. The owner is so very friendly; always welcoming and pleasant. It is easy to drive right past this place but dont... Its well worth finding!

We have been to this place a couple times. No matter how times we ask to have them make the dish mild its still to hot, even when its supposed to be a mild dish. Husband got the goat, it was all bone. Maybe the buffet is better?

Went to Kabab n Kurry recently and now I feel guilty for not supporting this new addition to St Charles sooner. I got the vinegar curry (jalfraizie) and all have to say is Yum. And dont even get me started on the nan.

Always enjoyed getting takeout chicken tikka masala from here. Recently took my girlfriend and her parents (they are Punjabi), and they loved everything! Rogan Josh, palak paneer, naan, the samosas, it was all great!

This is a sister restaurant of Ashoka Palace. Everything is delicious and service is prompt and courteous. Prices are in line with any other Indian restaurant in the area. Looking forward to returning.

We like their food so much that we drive past several other Indian restaurants in the 14 miles we drive to eat here. The atmosphere is casual but the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

We went in on a friday night, they were not too busy. We ordered a barrage of different items to try, and were blown away by how good all of the different items were. Get some garlic naan!

Eat here all the time, great food and pretty good service. Recommend the chicken Karahi. Wish I could get it spicier though. The buffet is of similar quality to what you get at dinner.
