This is a really nice, clean, bright comfortable restaurant that is family owned in Peachtree City serving fabulous tasting Indian food! They have a very nice selection of dishes from curries to tandoori (clay oven) to biryani (rice) dishes and more. Their bread selection is terrific - I love the Keema Naan which is a thin bread served warm and stuffed with spices and ground lamb - delicious! My favorite dish is the Fish Tikka Masala (or with chicken). Tikka Masala is a creamy sauce with a nice subtle blend of spices and herbs, tomatoes and maybe a touch of coconut milk (?) this goes great with anything! The fish (or chicken) is served in the bowl of tikka masala as boneless chunks and eaten with a side of rice. VERRRRY TASTY!!! And dont forget to try a dessert -- all homemade -- a choice of puddings, ice creams, or small donuts served with a sweet syrup. My favorite is the Mango Kulfi which is homemade ice-cream made with mangos and a hint of pistachio -- Delicious!!! -- A lovely restaurant serving truly authentic and very tasty Indian Food! Enjoy!!

I had been for dinner on a Sunday. Food tastes good. didnt expect having already seen the service. But buffet lunch I know tastes bad. Talking about service, its the worst. They are arrogant and ignorant. They leave Americans totally helpless and feeling insulted. I am Indian. But I have observed this many many times. I feel they are running a scam bringing in ordinary men as trained professionals at hotel service. I am talking of those waiter men in their 40s or 50s and also the owner there. They are so lost, they get me the wrong bill and I bet none there can smile; They are rock solid. I recommend this hotel to Indians alone as they dont need and dont expect any service. But a sincere no no to Americans. There is a very chance you will be disappointed and come out feeling awkward.

I have been to Star of India quite a few times including the day of Opening. I was impressed with the food and service all the time except the last weekend - Fathers Day. Food was good and but the Service was THE WORST. I had to wait a long time to get table for 5 person, even though 80% of restaurant was empty (Which kind of surprised me as it was fathers day). During the meal service, forget about the general courtesy, there was not even proper service sequence & rude behavior. Not sure if they got the new staff on that day. But anyway I didnt expected this nice restaurant to have this kind of Staff. I hope this would be my one time only experience with this restaurant.

My wife and I love Star of India. Been waiting for a good Indian restaurant (or any) in the area and we were very happy when they opened a few years ago. If you dont east Indian very much, check out their lunch buffet. Palak paneer (our favorite), tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala are amazing and mild. Lots of veggie choices. They serve fresh naan with the buffet and a small salad area with wonderful raita, sauces, relishes and even rice custard. Mmmm. The only comment was we wish they would serve more ice with their beverages (including water). Maybe their ice maker is slow? Be ready to ask for more ice if you are like most southerners. :)

Went with my husband and baby. Very poor customer service, cold food and stingy with naan. I had the buffet and my husband ordered from the menu. Mostly vegetarian food at the buffet and they do not keep the naan out. You have to wait for the naan. I waited 20 minutes after getting food from the buffet to get my naan. Buffet food was cold as well with limited selection. They avoided eye contact with you knowing we have been waiting awhile. I would not come here again. There is a great Indian restaurant in Fayetteville.

My husband and I have been meaning to visit this restaurant for quite some time now. We finally managed to have a date night, and are glad we chose Star of India for our "once in a great while" dinner out. The restaurant was clean, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I had the chicken tikka masala (mild heat), and my husband had vindaloo chicken (medium heat). We are looking forward to visiting there again at lunch time, so we can partake of the buffet and try some other dishes.

I love the food and generally the service is great. Today I arrived there on a Saturday for lunch and they were remodeling and making a heck of a racket doing so. We turned around and left but it was too late for some other customers. I was appalled that they would expose their customers to such a bad experience, it shows a lack of common sense. For Petes sake fellas, close the restaurant for remodeling or have the workers turn off the drills during lunch. I do love the food, so Ill be back.

Refused service twice. First time was half an hour before closing and they offered a take away service. Second time was today we checked online and the closing time was 10pm. We got there 8:45 and the refused because they were closing at 9pm. This time no offer for a take away service. Instead we had to show them online their opening times, and no comment was made about their oversight. Despite the terrible service the food is good but I dont think we will ever go back.

The Chicken Tikka Masala and naan are stellar! We were greeted immediately upon arriving. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The service was a bit too quick for me though, as I would have preferred a more relaxed rhythm to my meal. The wine recommendation was good, and the wine tasted like it had been just opened! We will go back for the Chicken Tikka Masala, and would recommend that others try this new family run establishment.

Real deal Indian food. Minus the fried platter, so much depth of flavor in every dish. Naan breads taste super fresh. Currys and Masalas pack a palate power punch. Go here right now if youre so done with massive chain restaurants taking over your culinary life. Service is on point and very attentive. Staff effectively translates your cravings into killer menu recommendations (for those of us with ethnic food deer-in-the-headlights syndrome).

We reached on a Sunday for the buffet at 2:40 and there was hardly anything left. And the staff was almost unhappy we barged in so late. They said the kitchen close by 3pm so they will "try" to get us the naan. And an old man, possibly the one who runs the place, mumbled how we are just coming in so late and assuming well be served. I have had food here before but this treatment was unacceptable. Not coming here again.

A local favorite! The food is always super tasty. Service can vary at times but the food is always good. Staff is friendly and can suggest something if you are new to Indian cuisine. The goat is out of this world. My wife loves the fact that they adjust the spiciness level of each dish to your desired. So if you see something that is typically spicy, they can make it less or not spicy at all.
