I recently went to The Catch in Tyler with my wife and two kids. As we walked in we were greeted by at least 3 people before we even made it to the order counter. Everyone was very friendly! Although my wife is the seafood lover (I only eat it on occasion) we were both pleasantly surprised by the freshness and overall quality of the food! My catfish was was lightly battered in corn meal and cooked perfectly and I really liked the coleslaw I got as my side. My wife had grilled shrimp and fish and she said they were very good. Even my kids were blown away by the portion size of the kids meals! My daughters popcorn shrimp were huge as compared to other places popcorn shrimp which tend to be more breading than shrimp. Not so at The Catch! My son had the fish and chips and he emptied his plate! Okay it wasnt a plate, but a lined paper basket. And yes, the eating utensils are plastic and the drinking glasses are styrofoam. Who cares? The food is excellent! We will definitely be coming back! By the way, we travel to Waco, TX a lot and we hear they are opening another "Catch" there as well! Count us in!

Well for starters I phoned in my order the lady that took my order was rushing me through it even though i informed her i had not eaten here before, well she let me know the order would be ready in ten minutes. My husband arrived 15mins later and waited 10 extra mins. The shrimp/crawfish combo had 3 shrimp and i was like uh oh they forgot our fries babe, but upon further inspection we found them underneath the shrimp and crawfish. All the food was so greasy most of the fries were not even edible...yuck, i worked in food service for 17yrs and never would i ever serve someone what we bought. I would have to say this was by far the worst dinning out experience ever. My husband had a 14hr day and i worked a 9 hr shift, we figured we would pick up dinner tonight, never again will we spend our money here!

Love love ❤️ this place, in from dallas I was visiting realitives and we decided to dine here. I ordered the fish and shrimp combo with a blue margarita. When I received my place I immediately took a bite out of my catfish and fell in love. The batter on the fish is just enough for me. Normally when you go to fish places you taste more bland batter than you do fish. Not at this restaurant, it is literally the perfect combination of seasoned batter and meaty fish. The shrimp was delicious and flavorful as well as the amazing hush puppies. The only thing I can do with out is the fries which were mediocre in my opinion and the blue coconut margarita. The margarita tasted like a slush from sonic with maybe a pinch of alcohol

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tyler. Its close to TJC, has a full bar and is delicious! Everything I have tried here is great! The whitefish and shrimp combo is superb and they have the best crawfish in Tyler as far as Im concerned. Not too pricey, just about right for crawfish and other seafood. The staff here are all so friendly too! The manager is great! I ordered to go one time and discovered a minor misshap. After calling, the manager took care of everything and left me a very satisfied customer! I frequent this place often! So delicious!

I can only speak to the fish tacos at The Catch, because I cant bring myself to get anything else when I go there; they are that good. Dont waste your calories on the fried fish tacos, because the grilled are amazing. Comes with a huge portion of fries, and the best hush puppies I have ever eaten. I dont really like hush puppies, but at The Catch they do something special. Dipped in the ranch sauce that comes with the tacos...they are fantastic. Great atmosphere, you can eat outside, or take to go. Yummm!

It was our first time. I got the catfish basket with fries and hush puppies. Wife got oyster poboy with fries and hush puppies. It was delicious. Catfish filets are big and fried golden, crispy. Fries have cajun seasoning and are really good, too. The red and tarter sauce a are also very good. Hush puppies were very tasty. People who work there were all very nice. We will be back and would recommend this to anyone hungry for seafood. Prices are very reasonable, and you get plenty for your money. Enjoy!

After eating at another place just down the road from this place called Happys not sure how the ratings are so close. If a place cooks good food i will tell everyone to try it. If its bad i will go out of my way to make sure people are aware of it. My wife went to go get us a togo order fish & shrimp. Absulutly bar none bad to the bone great taste. Everything was great. But i will thank them in person how good there fish & shrimp was. Great place

Prices a little high... Service is poor... We ordered 8 lb of crawfish and only got 2 pc. Of corn... When I asked the cashier/order clerk for more he SMIRKED and said only 1 piece for every 4lbs...Extra corn was 1.99 ea..I felt like helping him to remove the smile of his face..4 of us ate here the bill was 86.51...I believe they already have too much biz...I cant believe I drove past Wades in Chandler.in order to feed my folk here....

I have eaten crawfish all over Texas and Louisana. This is by far the worst crawfish I have ever had. And I dont know who came up with the bright Idea of using Clove as a spice for the crawfish. But that is all I smell. And the meat has 0 flavor at all. The wait staff was nice. The place was clean. The chicken tenders were average. The fries are below average. And I never complain about food. Time to redo the recipe bro.

Im pretty snobby about my seafood, but this place is pretty darn good. I only held back the one star because it was mostly fried, and Im not as big a fan of that, but I think most people are. I got 2 to 3 peoples worth of food for about $25. Fresh oysters and boiled crawfish in season as well as steamed crab legs. Price per pound was reasonable. Just spent $175 to have them cater my birthday party.

The service here is excellent. When my family comes here to eat we always have full service and the waiters are respectful and always there when you need them. Now that I live in Sulphur Springs I cant always eat there when I want to. If there was one where I live it would be packed for the simple fact that more than half the people down here eat fish and everything so please think about it.

This place has the best boiled crawfish I have ever had. There were zero with straight tails and they were cooked jousssst right! (Not over cooked and stiff). You walk up to the register and order and the food is at your table within about 10 mins. Very friendly emoloyees. I think they actually want you to have a good experience...rare these days!

Read reviews and figured would give it a try. Wife got a catfish and tenders combo for $12 and I got a chilled shrimp Po boy for $9. Catfish came with one fillet and 3 tenders. Po boy was 3 maybe 4 shrimp on half a sub. It was ok food but I wouldnt t consider it great prices for portions. This was basically a large snack for $27.02.
