I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The service was truly a Blessing. The manager himself actually worked to ensure the quality was top notch and his demeanor and attitude was so warm and welcoming, but that was not all. The obvious reason of coming here was the food, and honestly it was so exquisite. I am a Ghanaian so Ive tried almost all these entrees, but was amazed at the taste of what I ordered. I placed an order of jollof rice at a very reasonable price, and was given a big amount (Im a big guy), and even ordered some red red as well. I highly recommend this place especially if youre in the Brunswick area and are craving just as I was. What a Blessing. Thank God and God Bless you Asanka Delight, will God WIlling be coming here again!!

I had a terrible long day fixing my Car at CAPRO garage right next door to where Asanka delight is located. I walked into Asanka after having been tipped information by CAPRO. I met this humble chief chef who first introduced me to the spicy pepper goat soup. After one sip, I sat down and ordered a whole bowl of spicy soup with Banku. The food was extremely delicious. I was tearing with delight and with some weird running nose after the pepper soup started working on me. I will definitely make it there every weekend on a Saturday for this spicy delicacy!. What a humble and calm Chef!

I cant sing the praises of this place enough. The owner is extremely friendly and you can tell he takes great pride in his establishment. The food is amazing and the craftsmanship behind its presentation, in the world of African cuisine is second to none. The jollof or waakye is the go to meals id recommend, as they come with a side of fried plantains and the prices here are super cheap compared to any other restaurant in this space. Say hi to the owner when you go, and ask him about the second location hes opening up in Newark, which will be a bi-level space.

Great Ghanaian Food. The only place around that serves the food my wife is looking for. Everything is 100% freshly prepared and the owner Michael goes above and beyond every time. He is extremely pleasant to deal with and even offered to deliver all the way to Ocean County if we gave him a day or 2 notice! Of course it would only be fair if you put in a large order, but still I dont know a single other restaurant that would be willing to do that! Cannot say enough about this place! If you are looking for African food you HAVE to try this place!

Very unsanitary cooking environment. Decided to give it a try since my wife had a taste for some African food the night we went. However, I gave it the benefit of doubt, since it is African cooking. But once I tasted the food, it left a lot for the palate to desire. It lacked taste and it was too soggy. I also woke up the next morning feeling a little ill. I recalled the cooks "dingy-looking" appearance as I reflected in hindsight, in addition to how unclean and unsanitary the kitchen appeared. Will not be returning, and will never recommend.

Asanka Delight is just that....delightful!! This is surely some down home African food...authentic. I love their meat pies, fish, fried shrimp, jollof rice, okra soup, peanut butter soup and chicken with spinach. Everything I have had has been delicious. My husband and I love this place and it has served as comfort food to us on many occasions. In addition, the owner has a great spirit and treats his customers like family. He seems to love what he does so of course that carries over into the quality of his food.

I went in just to grab something and go but ended up staying for more than an hour because the chef is such an interesting guy. We talked while he made the pounded yam and assorted meat right in front of me. I ordered Tilapia to go but also ordered Kebab when he was done just so I could hang around and listen to the guy. So far, the best dining experience. The stew was in excess, so I took the rest home. Oh yeah, the kebab was delicious. I ate the two sticks of kebab in the car and wished I got more.

The food at Asanka Delight is very tasty. The customer service was also excellent. When we got there, they had ran out of the food we wanted but then told us the food was on the way. While we wanted to order something else, Michael (owner) took the time to assure us about the imminent arrival of the food we had ordered and he even gave us some appetizers to keep us from waiting too long while hungry. The food came and it was well worth the wait. Highly recommend.

I was very much in need of real Ghanaian food for lunch. A friend recommended this location which was about 30 minotes drive from where I was. I did not regret being there. I ordered bank and tilapia. Food was ready in about 20 minutes. I really enjoyed the meal. The quality was good for the price. I only did not like the idea that I had to go the bathroom to wash my hands before and after the meal. That needs to be improved.

I have lived in Nigeria for a long time in my childhood and I miss the food so much. My parents were visiting recently so I looked this place up and decided to take them there. They just loved the pounded yam and the egusi stew. They also loved the Jellof Rice and the fried plantain. It was so delicious. I would certainly recommend this place to everyone! The owner is very friendly and nice as well

We drove 40 miles to come here and were not disappointed! The food is fresh and very tasty prepared by the owner himself who is a master chef and because of the excellent service and food quality we took a menu home for future visits. We want to try every item on the menu! The only and best Ghanian restaurant in South Jersey, come see for yourselves you will be quite pleased!

I ordered the pepper soup with goat meat and it tasted like a homemade soup. My daughter ordered jollof rice with chicken and she really enjoyed her food. The smile on Michaels face is infectious. The whole time we were there last I realized everyone who came to order some food or pick up their order was recieved with love and left with a smile on their face.

If you are looking for great African food you HAVE to try this place! Everything is 100% freshly prepared. The TALIPIA is amazing!!! PATIENT, FRIENDLY & PLEASANT are the 3 words to describe the owner Michael. He is so easy to deal with. I highly recommend ASANKA DELIGHT for anyone in the New Brunswick/Somerset area. Cannot say enough about this place!

Cold pressed ginger and lemon juice is a specialty at this place. Helps immensely in detoxifying the body. Especially in winters when we abuse food and drink during the holiday season. I strongly recommend this drink. Ginger is a wonder root that is extensively used in alternative medicine. The juice is made on premises and sold fresh.

Asanka Delight African Cuisine is amazing restaurant. Five star restaurant without a five star price. Without being said, ever since I tried the jollof rice, plantain, tilapia fillet and salad. I have been regular everyday. They have a spicy ginger juice that can not be found anywhere. I love the place and the owner is a nice person.
