Craigs List
Visited on Sunday afternoon around 11.30 am with a 3 year old (few months before he turns 4) and 1 year old. They open at 11 AM. We were pretty much the second or third customer of the day. SURPRISE: They charged me 5.99 for the kid and 10.99 for adult. He ate 1 tandoori piece, less than half plate of biryani with one egg and a small styrofoam cup of mango juice. For this in a buffet they charged me more than 50% of adult price. Talk about making money. I am fortunate they did not charge me for my one year old daughter. Pros: 1. Good number of varieties on a Sunday buffet. 2. Tandoori chicken is juicy 3. Service was good, attentive staff Cons: 1. Not enough of bowls. I have to wait for the bowls when I went for fruit custard. 2. Noticed there were only 2 spoons there. 3. The Biryani does not qualify to be a biryani. It is missing aroma and taste. It has good looks. Their blog has a test for biryani describing how it should. Unfortunately, their own biryani wont qualify their test. It was sticky, no aroma and taste. It is essentially missing the masala part of biryani which is the only key for biryani. 4. Very hard naan, being an early customer I would expect the naan to be fresh. There were hardly any naan and they were crunchy - literally crunchy. 5. Missing Condiments: Common Indian food without onion, vegetables and lemon is not an indian food especially in a non-veg environment. 6. Idly sucks, it was hard. For all those who might criticize me - here is my answer: We all know inadvertently people waste lot of food in buffet. It is always a lot more than what my son ate. I understand they have the right to bill me. However, they also need to understand that by doing that they are forcing me to go somewhere else next time, which is what I am going to do. In the end, I do not loose anything because they dont have any star dishes. It is pretty much average food which I can get from most of the indian restaurants and they wont charge me for a 3 year old. So they are ones who lost a customer. Overall average restaurant and definitely not recommended for families with toddlers, unless you want to give away your money.

I was their very first customer when their doors opened! Ive eaten at hundreds of Indian restaurants from England, Scotland, Canada, India and all over the US from Seattle, LA, New York to Alabama, and yes StL too! I very much enjoy the friendly service and Fine Food served here! Paradise has never let me down! I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 honestly.... No one beats the time and Love that momma puts into a home cooked meal but, Paradise Biryani gives it a fair try! Sometimes Im the only white man in the business but, I look for places where the local people go and PB is where I see whole families relax and love their meal! Good going PB! Ahjo Dave

The food is good but dont arrive when they open because they will not be ready. The buffet was finally ready 25 minutes after they opened which is a disgrace! Once they were finally opened and ready you did not get refills on your water because they go on break and have their own lunch immediately after opening. When I went to pay the bill, after waiting 15 minutes, I finally yelled out"hello?" One of the workers came to the front with a plate of rice and still chewing. Just unbelievable. We will not be going back anytime soon.

I went to this place four times; three times for a Vegetarian buffet on Thursday evenings and one on a dinner ala-carte. I must say that I was totally satisfied with the varieties in the buffet, the quality and the taste. However, Im disappointed with the most recent visit. Though the items are tasty, they are not hot and they are fried a lot!! All items have become hard and specially a South Indian dish, Idli, when I took a piece, it became powder in my hand!!

From that day whenever i visit any indian restaurant am confirming about tips. Hope everyone does the same

Went for the vegetarian Buffet tonight. Supposed to have Dosa on the buffet.till the time I finished eating and went to pay for the food did not get the dosa. There was just one person manning the whole thing. I didnt even get a refill of water . The food was decent.. Overload of fried foods in the buffet. For $15 I was not satisfied ,mostly by the service.

What kind of restaurants have Flys around food items ? You came to the right one. Called the owner or manager but none came out. Hated it. Dont know how these getting though food inspection. I was terrified going to that place. Came to this restaurant again to give a try I just found those disgusting Flys around food again. Same feeling again.

Never tried Lebanese food before and this was a great first taste. The service was punctual, the setting was romantic and the food was savory. The portions were also very generous (try the sandwiches). The pita chips with the butter spread is out of this world and a must. I am sad I am moving away for I would be back again and again.

I am a regular visitor for this place. In fact, fan of goat biryani! I have ordered 2 goat biryanis (To go) couple of days back.. i have two observations, 1. the bowl size reduced drastically, must be around 2 inches. 2. Meat pieces are really horrible (leg bones w/o meat). I dont recommend this place.

Maybe the best buffet in greater STL. Had a wide selection, including staples and uncommon dishes. Tried every vegetarian dish: all better than normal. The naan is unusually good and the palak paneer is exceptional. Service was ok. Con: werent ready right when they opened (took 10 min)

Finally some spicy (hot) food in this country that resembles the Indian tastes. I dont this has anything to do with the original Paradise in Hyderabad or Bangalore but theyre good! We tried the biriyanis, dosa and a platter of chicken and liked everything! Definitely going back for more!

Quite possibly the worst Indian buffet ever been to. Been here for 30 mins on a busy sat afternoon. Naan out for 30 mins, no one took plates off my table, idli stone cold, no one bothers I guess except the fella taking bills at checkout . Lost my business for sure!!

I cant stand the taste of cilantro and to my horror everything was doused in it, even the bread appetizers. There was nothing I could find in the variety of food that I ordered that tasted good. This was my first time trying out Indian food and will be my last.

Went there on the dosa night buffet (Wednesday). 1.) Cold dosas 2.) Took 10 to 15 mins to bring three dosas(max at one time) 3.) Most of the dosas are same just different toppings 4.) Receptionist is arrogant idiot See the attached picture of chicken 65 dosa.

This place use to be better.... Now its a worst food ever in entire US .... Food is being served in plastic wrap .....seriously... Naan is like a thin slice of un cook bread. No flavor to any of the dishes. I will never go back here again.
