First, I want to start my review with I typically will only write good reviews if I enjoy a place and will not post negative comments otherwise. However, I am empowered to write this one because of the grossly, unethical experience. Eight of us showed up to experience the Majestic late night greasy food - which in the past has never been a problem. This particular night we paid $40 to the front door and in gratitude paid an additional $20 to "Paco". His real name is Steven, the night manager. The money was to put us at the front of the line and to seat us. He sat us in the corner booth table - the one all of us in town people have enjoyed before. I left my group to the rest room. When I came out, he was jamming our party into the corner 5 top by the rest room. He changed our seating because there was a five-person group angry with him for seating us first. After we lost our table "we had gracefully TIPPED him for"...I complained. He was argumentative and rude. Said we would be fine with split tables. The whole point was he sat us and bended to the other group because they were loud and upset. We called him out and he asked us to leave. Two of the eight of us were STONE SOBER and witnessed the TIP, his rudeness and his mistake. And, no....he did not give us our money back. The worst part of this situation is that the daytime manager Shane and the OWNER are completely oblivious to his lying about the $60. Shane and the owner basically said that they are standing behind him. Which is understandable. However all eight of us saw the money transfer and willing to tell him directly. The other interesting fact is the owner said they have a strict policy to not except money to cut in line. First come first serve. Its clear to me he has no clue what his employees are doing. And, he is in complete denial that its happening underneath his nose. When I suggested the other group tell the owner what they witnessed, the owner called me a rude name, hung up on me, and could care less. Sad.

I was with a friend and waited 15 minutes for a seat. Before we were seated, a party of 4 was right behind us also waiting. They were soon seated after we were. They ordered, ate and left before we got our order in. My burger looked like something I could do at home on my third attempt and I cant cook to save my life. My friend asked for no onions and got onions on her burger. Thanks to our ice, we didnt have to ask for refills of water due to our non existent waitress. Yes, I understand its a restaurant and they have other customers. As patient as we were, its somethings I can excuse. That day, I couldnt with them. The food felt over priced but at an early morning, beggars cant be choosers...or can they...? IHOP it is from now on or Holeman and Finch Public house before it closes

My husband and I stumbled across this place during our weekend in Atlanta, and had lunch there on our way back home. First impression was it was super busy, and no frills. We sat at the counter and there werent enough servers for the amount of people were there, but we were patient and didnt really mind. Loved the menu, we both ordered burgers. I had the double lamb Greek burger and my hub had the cheddar burger. Both came with a side and a drink for $7.99 each. Our burgers were huge on premium toasted bakery buns. My Greek burger was out of this world, the steak fries were perfect, the coleslaw tasted home made, as did the tzaziki with my burger. A place with no frills but uncomplicated great food, worth the wait. A real diamond in the rough that I will frequent each trip to Atlanta.

I dont post reviews but I feel like I have to for this place. The employees there have zero business sense. From the hostess, to the waitress, none of the employees were welcoming. After a 45 minute wait for food, my friend was given two waffles with his meal. He assumed what he ordered came with two but when he got the check he was charged for 2. The waitress refused to take it off the bill "because he had consumed it so therefore he had to pay for it." Turned out to be a poor business decision for them because instead of losing the cost of the extra waffle they are now losing 5 customers. Not to mention my food was cold and everything is over priced. ($12 for a bacon and cheese omelet.) Go to waffle house or ihop.

Look: You dont go for a "gourmet dining experience," you just go for the experience! Like Saturday: I went for a BLT, fries, and a Coke, in walks a guy dressed in Army cammo and wearing a fur coat. Gotta love it! You dont get that in your local Waffle House. My BLT was hot and fresh, and the fries were more than I could eat, so its good food and a good deal, too. Ive never had a bad meal at The Majestic, and Ive eaten there for decades, and at all hours of the day. They have recently renovated the dining area, so it looks much nicer than before. Not that I had a problem with the old interior, but I can understand the need to improve. Some people said the old ceiling was getting "scary."

Do you like diner food? Do you like young servers who look like theyre in the same clothes as the night before? Do you like Waffle House but hate the discounted prices? Majestic Diner is perfect for you! Dont get me wrong, every once in awhile I want the taste of a homemade burger in my mouth without all the annoyance of having to prepare and cook one myself. Majestic is a staple and a neighborhood highlight. Its open 24/7 and you dont have to worry about food poisoning. It isnt fancy and it isnt "foodie" worthy, but it isnt supposed to be. This may be the only time that the phrase "it is, what it is" is completely on point.

i love the majestic! while spending a weekend in atlanta, my boyfriend and i ate at the majestic more often than id like to admit. their rise n shine breakfast special is enormous and amazing, with plenty of options to choose from. after seeing some bands play at the variety, we stumbled into the majestic afterwards to have some late-night pancakes. altogether, their prices were reasonable (we had more food than we could eat for ~$20 every time), the service was always fast & friendly, it was cute & clean and the food was great. five stars! i want a majestic in my town!

I gotta say I love this diner, because my daughters love this diner. We eat here pretty regularly when were too busy to cook. They have burgers and big deserts. Weve never had to wait for a seat and the staff are alway kind. I like the look of the place, the narrow aisle with booths before the main dining room and the corner entrance. It feels like a home. Im sure my daughters will remember it fondly throughout their lives and it feels like the diner I ate in as a kid.

I have been here twice. One time at night, not too late. Crowd was kind of on the iffy side, but overall we had a good night. Food isnt real impressive, but its a quirky spot and I like that. Second visit was noonish, my mom came in from out of town. She got a bagel with salmon and cream cheese (lox). The smoked salmon was actually REALLY good, but the cream cheese, bagel and onions drowned it out completely. Weird place, pretty nice staff...its mehhh though.
