I did not go to Kirby Gs Diner for the food. Instead, I went there to hear Abel & Rawls perform. Nevertheless since this was My first time in Kirby Gs Diner I thought that I would give them a chance to win My business. Like most folks, I have read their advertisements touting their "best burger" claim. First and foremost. The service is excellent. Timely and professional inasmuch as the Young lady explained their menu and made recommendations. I followed the servers recommendation and ordered the Burger Special with Pepperjack cheese and fries. I asked if they can cook a beef burger until it is "MEDIUM-RARE." I was assured that they could. Sure enough. It was perfectly cooked. Topped with THICK SLICES of cured bacon and long pickle slices. It was served with buttered DOUBLE-TEXAS TOAST with the cheese melted between two slices of TEXAS TOAST on top and bottom. Very good. The fries were too salty and only average. Timely refill on water, and She remembered My asking for a beer upon completion of My meal. Right on cue. Overall My experience at Kirby Gs Diner was POSITIVE. IF the fries had been fresher and a lot less salty; I would have given them a 5-STARS. Maybe My next visit will find fresher, less salty french fries.

Best burgers in a 50 mile range, easily. I also am not entirely sure what they do to their french fries, but Im sure it involves some kind of addictive substance. This charming "hole in the wall" joint has a TV land meets "doo-wop" vibe that is fun and clever. While its not exactly the most modern establishment, there is something about its antiquity that really sells the authenticity of the establishment. But the food is what you came for and its what youll really remember most. The burgers are juicy, delicious, big, and mouthwatering. Even the bacon is perfection, but what will surprise you is how delectable the BUN is that the burgers come on. I never thought I would crave a hamburger BUN before. If you like things a little spicy, get the Riggles Wiggles burger and dive into a messy, but explosively delicious melody of meaty burger, perfect bacon, fresh toppings and a pepper jelly that has a slight kick to it, but massive flavor. All in all, youd be a fool to come even remotely near this place and pass it up, unless you just dont enjoy meat.

Completely disappointed with our food, service and the music on this Friday night. First, our 1/3 pound hamburgers were a shock when we saw them....small, dry and not even close to any picture on this site. $7.25 just for the hamburger, garden and a pickle? (fries were extra). We ate our dinner, and was still hungry.....for $23.00. Sat in the room with the live music. Waitress was working a few tables in that room in addition to the main dining area. Service was very slow. And the music!... We thought for certain this had to be a relative of management because the band was more suited to play at the senior center than a restaurant on Friday night. They didnt complete one song without stopping to talk to each other, "practice" another song or "warm up"their instruments. Their choice of songs?...again, better suited for the senior center. I wont even go into the coon skin hat. Overall....more than disappointed with our experience, and do not plan on ever going back. Hello Hamburger Mikes in Locust Grove!

Never will we NEVER come to Kirby gs again! My husband and I always have our date nights here. The waiters always calls us the loyal customers because we are there every week. We went in tonight and was treated like trash. We waited forever to get our food, while another couple came in and set at the bar got their food before us...THEY HAD JUST GOT THERE! The waitress didnt give us refills or anything. She acted like we was getting on her nerves. The owner was there walking around laughing and talking to different tables but NEVER stopped by ours or the black couple that was sitting behind us....also too we were the ONLY 2 black couples that was there. The other black couple never got a welcome or hello. Our money spend just like everyone else. But from this day forward we will NEVER spend another penny in this place again! So if youre black please go somewhere else...cuz u wont get the same treatment as everyone else!

Beyond the managers rude remarks telling my mother that she was in the wrong after a server wrongfully made reservations after closing hours without informing my mother, the restaurant is pretty decent as long as you arent looking for a manager that cares about his customers. Although we did make reservations on a night that they close early (we didnt know this at the time and the server was fully okay with making them), the manager was extremely rude upon our attempt to confirm our reservations for that night a few days later and told my mother she made up the reservations and that his staff wouldnt do that. Completely Unprofessional. This was a surprise party in which invitations were already sent out due to the reservation, and everyone was looking forwards to attending their favorite spot in the square.

The hamburgers are good here. Very thick and have a nice flavor. The service was sloooow. This despite the fact that there werent that many other people in the restaurant. It took a while before the server would come and refill our drinks. Our appetizer came quick, but the hamburgers took forever. I dont mind waiting for a good burger, but this was kinda ridiculous. There werent many other people in the place, but it still took forever. The prices are a bit high for what you get. A hamburger with fries and a drink shouldnt be $15. The atmosphere is nice, lots of memorabilia on the walls, etc. Parking can sometimes be tough in the McDonough square, but if its not that busy, you can find a parking spot quick. Overall, its a nice place to get a great burger.

8 of my friends decided to eat there before seeing the Henry Players. Luckily we had allowed for a lot of time. We were asked to wait while they got a table ready. 20 minutes later they still hadnt seated us and it wasnt even busy. We got our own place settings and menus and sat at the large center table. We had to ask a waitress if she could take our order and get us drinks. We thought we were going to have to get our own food. We would have gone somewhere else but the burgers are very good here and we were running out of time to get to the play on time. Have no idea why service was so bad but none of us will ever make the mistake of going there again no matter how good the burgers are. Service is as important as the food.

I just ate dinner this evening at Chevys with my large family and it was a great experience. The place looked great...I loved looking at the pictures from the past--the pictures are everywhere! My teens liked the juke box and they played all kinds of music--from Southern Rock to Rock and there were some oldies thrown in the mix too. The food was great...fried pickles and cheese fries for appetizers. Awesome burgers...thick burgers and great flavor combinations. The kids meal is good too. The service was great too. It was a great place to take my family and I will return. Its a great place for lunch too. Great location...just off the square in McDonough. I highly recommend Chevys!!
