The White House has been around forever. A real throwback to the 60s that still exist. Atlanta has Bones, Johnnys Hideaway and The White House. Gus the guy who started the place in the 60s runs it today. He went away for a while but hes back . Hes not around always but the hired hands are friendly and competent if you treat them with respect. TWH is a made to order grill which means you have the luxury of telling them what you want. You dont have to order from the menu. If you are looking for fancy this is not it. If you want to bring an out of towner they will be impressed. They have a special hot meal line everyday that is Greek style dishes and plentiful portions. Just a real friendly place to eat that isnt expensive or pretentious but where the owner and the staff know you by name or face. Ive been eating here for 22 years and I have never had a bad meal . Its an Atlanta jewel.

My husband just came from the White House with a real good friend of ours! They waited at the bar for 15 minutes. No one acknowledged them or bothered to tell them that someone will be with them in a moment or cared to THANK them for being patient on top of not offering them water while they waited. Long story short...when they asked about being serviced, AN EMPLOYEE BY THE NAME OF KIMBERLY was EXTREMELY RUDE and said "YOU JUST GOT TO BE PATIENT" as she walked off. WE ARE BUSINESS OWNERS AND BELIEVE IN GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE... THIS WAS FAR FROM IT!!!

If, and it will happen, WaffleHouse is too crowded, this is the spill-over place to go. Very similar menu, but more of a family-owned vibe. Unfortunately, my experiences havent been that good here for one reason alone. The service in here is terrible. I sat in a both for 20 minutes before a 90-year old came and tried to take our order. The food is good if you get that far but dont bother going Sunday and Saturday mornings. I want to love this place but when I get "hangry", Im not easy to deal with. This place tends to make me "hangry".

Best Homemade Food We accidentally found this rare gem and decided to try it out. Great service and very friendly and attentive waitress. The food was excellent that we made it our breakfast place during our three days short visit to Buckhead. Totally worth skipping the hotel breakfast

Maybe Ive watched too many Gordan Ramsey shows. The gyro was made from frozen meat, and the sauce was served on the side. And the sauce was bland. The salad was ok, but the baklava was tough, and, oddly, served with the plastic wrap still on the plate. I gave up on it after one bite.

Very friendly and clean establishment. Customer service was excellent, no one gets ignored. I ate breakfast and everything could not have been done better. My eggs were picture perfect and delicious. I will be starting my day here every chance I can get.

This local hidden gem is located in an unassuming strip mall in Buckhead. It serves a traditional diner menu with southern twists. Try the chicken and biscuits covered in sausage gravy. They are only open for breakfast and lunch.
