My future son-in-law was considering Antica Posta for a Rehearsal/Welcome dinner. We decided to try it out. We were seated in the back room. It was very cozy and just the atmosphere we need for the event. I especially liked that the acoustics were such that you could actually have a conversation without shouting at each other even when the room was full. We started with Bruschetta and Insalata con mozzarella di bufala which we shared and all enjoyed very much. I had the filet with balsamic reduction which was tender and cooked perfectly. The rest of the party had the risotto of the day (shrimp), fish of the day and the chicken. We were more than satisfied so we passed on the dessert. We also enjoyed a bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay which was marked up reasonably. The bottom line. We will have the rehearsal dinner here and we will definitely return for more delicious meals in a cozy atmosphere. My only negative remark is that Marco could be a little more friendly to his customers.

Highly Recommend, Service was outstanding. A huge thank you. I set a reservation through OpenTable, left a note to the Maitre d to take special care of my parents on their 47th Anniversary. All I can say is that Antica Posta waiters and management went beyond my expectations. My parents raved about their meal, the service, the special dessert and are already talking about how they want to take the whole family back. A hearty thank you, this is exactly the type of dining experience that I crave for in Atlanta. Antica Posta will remain my Tuscan/Italian go to destination for friends, family and business partners. As for food I notice they update menu regularly but I can personally vouch for the Sea Bass, Ribeye, Veal and Chicken dishes, just ask the waiters for their favorite meals, they wont steer you wrong. Im currently in the mode to find the best Truffle dish in Atlanta, so Ill soon be back. Thank you again.

We were excited to try AP based on all the reviews, but left feeling underwhelmed. We arrived just as they opened. The waitstaff hovered in the dining area we sat in, which was slightly uncomfortable because "all eyes were on us". For starters we split the Insalata di Marco ,an owner favorite, which was delicious and perfectly suited for two. Gnocchi is one of my favorite Italian dishes so I was excited to try it. The first bite was delicious...but the preceding bits were all undercooked! I could have enjoyed one or two glasses of wine for the $26 dollars paid for an uncooked dish. However, my wife ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was like heaven in your mouth. As a first time customer, they were kind enough to provide a complimentary dessert. While I cannot recall the dish, i do know we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Will we be back? Im uncertain as we had such high hopes.

Wish we had ordered what was described in the favorable reviews. The eggplant parmesan was the size of an appetizer which was fine, except it had no discernable flavor, not even of salt. The texture was nice tho.The cheese ravioli with meat sauce was slightly better, but not very good. I wont say what the meat sauce looked like, but it was not pleasing to the eye. The rosemary potatoes had no signs of rosemary on them. The chocolate mousse had the texture of pudding, which was offputting, but the flavor was very chocolaty. At $24 for a glass of wine, we declined to order any. The servers we had were very attentive and professional. Overall, would urge people to go where the food is more consistent. We thought we were in for a treat but were very disappointed.

This is actually a Tuscan restaurant, not an attempt at one dumb down for Americans. Northern Italian is the fare of the day. The brother of the owner still runs the family restaurant outside of Florence Italy. Amazing Italian wine list and the best by the glass wine menu in the city. Service is attentive and the kitchen is skilled. I like to do this place with 6 or more friends and just phone ahead and ask the Marco to make us something great. Drop in around Sept-Oct for white truffles added to the menu - to die for. I would not pay too much attention to the complainers who have 1 starred this gem. Marco is a great guy and his staff are professionals. If you were offended, no doubt you deserved it - off to the Olive Garden for you!

The food is always good; but the management is intolerable! I dont care HOW great a restaurant may be or where it is located...if you tell a customer who has a reservation when they arrive that they absolutely have to leave the table 1 1/2 hours after seating...Im never eating there again!! I wouldnt have been there any longer anyway, but making the demand only made me want to camp on the table for three hours. Then, you think you are so important that you can charge a $ 30 nonrefundable deposit for a reservation when no other restaurant does? Forget it.

Along with several friends and fellow wine enthusiasts, I had dinner last night at Marco Bettis outstanding Italian restaurant. I have spent a fair amount of time visiting all parts of Italy, attended a cooking school in Tuscany, and I do not believe I have had a better experience. From the hors doeuvres through the fish, pasta, meat and dessert courses, I cannot think of a more satisfying meal. The chicken with truffles was superb, and the lamb chops were prepared perfectly. Marco was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable host; I will be back, and soon!

This is my go to when I am in the Atlanta area. It may be my favorite Italian restaurant in the US and I am traveling every week. Its a great place to have a business dinner, and bring high end clientele. The service is great and the food is even better. Once you come around a few times, the owner Marco will immediately begin to greet you. This is definitely a place of regulars. Now I am one! Also great for private parties that you need to host. They do a great job in making the whole experience sophisticated and smooth.

I always enjoy coming here for dinner or drinks after work. There are so many things I love about Antica Posta. The wine menu is awesome. There are many different options by the glass or bottle at great price points. The food is always so fresh and authentic. I feel like I am stepping into Tuscany with every bite I take. Also never seem to have a bad experiences when it comes to service... they always go above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. Counting the days till I go back again for dinner!

this is in a cute little house in buckhead. the food was pricey, which we were ok with until we tasted it.....an hour after we ordered it. service was slow, rude and inaccurate. food was subpar at best. we nicely wanted to tell the owner and he was extremely pompous. said his food was great and didnt want to hear anything we had to say. not only will we not go back, but we plan to tell everyone we know that it would be better to go to olive garden and spend $500 for breadsticks than this place.
