This restaurant was featured on Groupon a few weeks ago so we decided to give them a try. When we were seated we informed them that we would be using a Groupon and they assured us that was fine. So, we proceed through our meal of a very forgettable calamari fritti with a very watery marinara sauce and two forgettable pasta dishes. Thats all fine, sometimes its good to try a new restaurant even if it is horrible. The real kicker came when we were to pay our bill. The server who we later found out was the manager refused to accept our Groupon as it was pulled up on the mobile iPhone app and not a printed copy. He then swore at us multiple times. I asked for a manager only to find out this moron was the manager, wow. Great hiring selection! After he proceeded to get rude and nasty I attempted to explain how the iPhone app worked for him to redeem the Groupon and that yes, if you read the directions on your printed copies it says pulling up a Groupon within the app is an accepted way to redeem them. He informs me that he "doesnt give a s***." So, I proceed to tell him that I will not pay the entirety of the bill, so apply the Groupon to the balance so we can leave. He proceeds to swear some more and attempts to charge me for the full dining amount, I told him I wasnt going to sign and authorize that. Eventually he didnt accept the Groupon but took the $25 off the balance. Needless to say we wont go back. Shame for them as we were looking for a restaurant to host my parents 30+ guest anniversary party, this definitely wont be it.

Avoid! Terrible Service Tried Gios for the second time after a bad experience several years ago. Wow! Experience was even worse this time. Service started out okay then we mentioned we had a Groupon and a big party arrived at the next table. Food took long to come out but was good; however, our waiter never once checked on us to see if our food was okay even though he walked past our table about a half dozen times. He completely ignored us and the couple at the next table while he catered hand and foot to the large party table. Finally I raised my hand to get his attention to get the check so we could leave. We were tired of sitting around at that point as we (and the table next to us) were completely ignored. The waiter brought the check and handed it over to us while looking at the big party table and did not even acknowledge us or ask us how everything was or even if we wanted desert. We then waited for what seemed like 10 minutes or more for him to take our payment and he never came back. The couple next to us recommended that we just go pay up front. That is what we did. When the waiter saw us paying up front, he still ignored us as though we werent even there. Overall experience was horrible and we will never be back! Btw, that waiters name is Alberto and he should be fired for providing that kind of service!

We stopped in here on a Saturday night after leaving another restaurant who had a 1.5 hour wait. At first glance it is just like any typical restaurant in a strip mall however once you are inside you feel like you are visiting the home of some distant relatives in Italy. There is a piano tucked in the far corner, almost so that you would not notice it. The piano music is a nice touch to dinner and was quite relaxing. The food was not like your typical chain Italian restaurants and tasted amazing. Freshly prepared and service piping hot! I can still taste the dessert, a Tiramisu, almond not coffee. Unique, moist, and way too small. Seriously, it was a generous sized piece but I could have eaten the whole cake! Amazingly enough, the coffee was superb, even at 9:00 pm. The second best part of my visit was the iced tea. It tasted fresh brewed and didnt need any sweetener. I will definitely be going back soon.

This place is located in a strip "mall" close to other retail venues. From the outside, it looks like an unassuming hole-in-the-wall type of place. Inside, very cozy, greeted and served by attentive waiters, albeit Spanish and not Italian like Osteria. We had the lentil soul and fried calamari as apps, the lasagna and lobster ravioli as the main dish, along with a bottle of Red. The food was a tad bit above average. Ive been to many Italian restaurants and this one would have only scored 3 stars if it wasnt for the live piano. THAT was exquisite. We were serenaded all throughout the night. The ambiance wasnt bad either. Not too loud, well lit, nice decor. Id go back.

This was my first visit to Gios and for a "Italian American" who knows about great Italian food this restaurant rates 5 Stars *****. We had Fried Calamari, Osso Bucco and Rack of Lamb Chops. The atmosphere is family like. The Waiter, Joseph, and the other attendants and employees were more than friendly. This is the only restaurant that I was accompanied to the door with a personal farewell, and a candy and a rose. Highly Recommended and we will return.

On the bright side, the food, the personnel, the atmosphere, the music, the environment, everything was great. But they crazily over charged us twice. The next day I called them and I tealized that I got charged $80 for 2 meals ( losbters, special) while it was supposed to be $40. On top of it, after tips, my bill came as $120.00. On my bank statement Gios charged me $125.00. That is a $45.00 charge for me not paying attention and trusting them.

My husband I went there for lunch this past week. I had the Tilapia lunch special and he had the lunch lasagna. The fish was cooked in a yummy light wine and caper sauce and the lasagna was cooked in a very rich red sauce. Both dishes were excellent. The place is rather small and cozy and the prices are a bit high for lunch but overall it was excellent and the food quality and service was excellent as well. I cant wait to go again.

Good tasting food but a bit overpriced. Salad was small, only included spring mix & 2 slices of tomatoes. Normal Italian loaf bread, frozen butter. Main dishes included mashed potatoes & veggies, both good. Main dishes had good flavor. Huge shrimp & chicken but sides small. Good but doubt I will return. Too pricey for everyday dinner and not nice enough for night out.

Not sure how this place gets the 5 stars. My to go order was wrong and I wasnt too impressed with the meal it self. Open your can food at home and boil the spaghetti might have better flavor than this place. Sorry to bash your food, but quality and authenticity wasnt there at all, sadly saying it. Will not recommend it to my enemy

Used groupon at Gios tonight. Excellent experience. Our waiter suggested several wines to us, we chose Fox Brook cabernet and were very pleased with selection. I had chicken florentine and my husband had seafood linguine. Both meals were very tasty. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Prices very reasonable.
