I took my daughter to BoccaLupo last night for her 20th birthday. She picked this restaurant because of what she had read about the tasting menu. Unfortunately, that option was so popular that they ran out of some of the menu items and we were stunned to discover that we had to order something else. Thats when things got amazing! Our waiter, Eddie LeClair, told us not to worry and he would fix us up. He created a custom tasting menu for us and began to bring out the dishes. So many incredible plates of food that we shared - the homemade mozzarella topped with dressed arugula and the roasted cauliflower blew us away! And the gnocchi!! - amazing little pillows, with a bit of a crunch, nested in a sauce alongside fresh ricotta. Of the entrees, I think the black spaghetti was tops, but the crispy white lasagna and pappardelle were equally delicious! For dessert, the rhubarb and strawberry crumble was my favorite. We also had creamy delicious gelati with cookies and chocolate mezzacotta. Eddie paired each selection with excellent wines and finished it with a liqueur for dessert. It was a wonderful birthday celebration and an experience we will always remember. Thank you, BoccaLupo!

I have not eaten here before but I have heard great things. So many great things that I wanted to make a reservation for 11 people for my birthday. I emailed the GM to ask for this to be arranged since I tried to book it on a Monday when they were closed, but I got an email back from the GM stating that they cannot accommodate guests over 6 people, and if they do, it will have to be two separate parties of 6 and there is a chance we could be placed at different tables, that are not next to each other...needless to say, I dont want to have a birthday dinner that cannot accommodate my party. This is not supposed to be a nasty review, I am just having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that a restaurant wouldnt want a 12 top on a Tuesday? Ill try this place one day when I have a smaller party.

I havent had pasta this good since Italy. It was so amazing! I had the special which was a mezzaluna pasta and my husband had the pappardelle, We walked in early on a Friday and were told that reservations were recommended a week to 2 weeks in advance but we could sit at the bar. So we took our seats. The service was attentive and passionate about their menu. When our food came out it was well presented and soooooo flavorful! You could tell everything was fresh. The portions were perfect (its not Maggianos where you get a bucket of food), you actually get a normal size entree. We also got the grilled peach dessert with ice cream which was lovely. We will be back. Totally worth the money!

Authentic! My friend and I were in town for a reunion and took a chance on this place because it was near the friend we were staying with. It was awesome!! We sat at the bat and quickly made friends, so it was like a buffet! We all took samples from each others plates. I had the Pasta Bolognese and my girlfriend has the Black Spaghetti. They were delicious!!! A rich meaty sauce in homemade pasta and a spicy seafood medley over black spaghetti. Our friends had the stir fried cauliflower (which tastes like fried rice to me, delicious), chicken liver pasta, and a berry panna cotta. We enjoyed every bite. And the drinks! I highly recommend to locals and travelers.

The food is definitely worth the visit! My husband and I really loved the main entrees we got. However we ordered "cobbler" for dessert and it was a a handful of chopped peaches and berries baked in a bowl topped with nuts. It was not really all that great for the price. Additionally, our server kept reading the menu to us really loudly and was 5 inches from our faces nodding and emphasizing every word. So uncomfortable. Then the water filling. If you drink one inch of water, someone would be at your table so fast.

Food was amazing, drinks were very good. The sauces in particular were fantastic, and thats a good sign for a place specializing in pasta in sauce. My wife and I didnt have a single dish that we didnt love, and we had a few, thanks to the reasonably priced 4 course tasting menu. Its a little bit loud for a romantic dinner, but the dining room is small and definitely friendly. Service was attentive but not overbearing.

We had no wait for our table. Every dish was impeccable. Start w the skewered octopus, the corn and field pea reduction with it is mind blowingly delicious! We tried 4 apps, each was excellent. Pasta here is like no other I have had in Italy, New York or Atlanta. You must try all of them! This unassuming restaurant could have the largest ego in town, they dont, thankfully! A true dining experience.

Our server, Eddie, was friendly attentive and sold us on the Chefs Taste Sampler of the day. 4 dishes and an antipasto that were paired with a half glass of wine each. It was one of the best meals Ive ever experienced. The wait staff was alert and always arrived immediately if we even looked like we needed anything. Ill be going back, its well worth the visit. The owner/chef is a master of his craft.

Incredible. Alexandra is the BEST, new favorite in Atlanta. Youll be ruined for any other Italian food in the city because this place truly knocks it out of the park. The chowder was rich and smoky but still maintained a lightness, the baked ziti presentation (and flavour) was incredible, and youll never taste chicken liver like the ravioli anywhere else. Im in love.

Go here. You wont regret it. But it could be better... At places like this you always risk the staff not executing. Front of the house was top tier but the back of the house missed the mark when I went. Under seasoned in places and missing the flurishes that you can tell the chef wanted, this is an amazing restaurant that is misfiring occasionally.

The food is pretty good for the most part but you get VERY small portions for the price you pay. It seems like a good place to go if your taking your wife out and dont want her to put on weight because she truly will have no worries about over eating. The place itself is very nifty though, so I give it 3 stars for the atmosphere.
