We used to go weekly, but today the service was the ultimate worst. After calling in our order, we to there 30 minutes later and the was not ready, so we decided to sit outside while we waited. To our surprise and disgust, we were approached and told to leave because we called our order in and we decided to eat there. (Frequent Customers) After asking for the manager, the owner Tom came with the worst attitude, then as we were walking out, he told us to GET OUT and Shoved one of us. At that point i called the police...Then Shannon, the manager came out and started displaying an attitude that was only proving the ignorance of this place. "long story short" the police told me that he doesnt even go there because employees have been arrested there before (go figure).... Needless to say, this place will absolutely never get my business.

I will start by admitting that I am a regular. Myself and my son (And any combination of his friends) have been cared for and well fed by the staff of the Mad Italian for almost 8yrs. My favs are fist and fore most the cheese steak... and when Im being "good" their Salad is the best mix of yumminess. Good Ole iceberg dressed up with olives and salami and egg and so much more. I recommend add I g their grilled shrimp for a low cal protein punch. The kids are always happywith the Pizza but my kid, some how, steals a shrimpor two!! Ariel knows us enough to catch up while shes anticipating my regular order! If ever shes unable to take our table, the entire staff is equally fat and attentive. Its a quick environment but I never feel rushed. From the first visit, Ive felt like the Norm to their Cheers.

I hate o say that there is something wrong here. I have been going to the Mad for as long as I can remember. I brag to EVERYONE about the Cheese-Steak sandwich. The BEST in Atlanta or even the Southeast or I should say WAS. The last 2 times I ordered the sandwich the bun was not toasted, the cheese was barley melted on top of the meat and the meat was dry. In the past the meat was mingled in a good cheesy manner with the meat and the bun was toasted. The sandwich was incredibly good...... and I do not even eat much red meat. I can only hope that the Cheese Steak Sandwich will rise again! Please..... give them a try...... The Mad is a great place. If however the food is not up to par, please bring the issue up to the manager. I only hope things will improve. I put my money on it that it will.

Service was excellent. Even right at lunch rush the bar staff was on top of things. Mozzarella bread was really good. Cheese steak was a major problem. The meat is served entirely too hot which creates three huge issues. First its so hot it burns your mouth. Second, the heats creates an insane amount of steam which instantly turns the hoagie in to soggy bread, and who likes soggy bread? No one. Lastly, the heat also melts the cheese in to a soup which is also kind of gross. Id rather my cheese look the same as it looks on top of the Mozz bread. Either let the meat cool a bit before making the sandwich, or dont cook it to the point its scorching hot. The flavor was great, but when 80% of your hoagie is a mush the second its served, its disappointing!

I was really quite happily surprised at this little Italian place. I went here for the first time last night with an old friend, expecting some decent Italian, but wow! We sat in the bar area since the dining area was full, and the atmosphere was great for two friends catching up. The bartenders/waiters were fantastic and prompt, and the food? Delicious, good portions, and a reasonable price. Its not particularly fancy, but its delicious. The chicken parmesan was perfectly done with yummy garlic bread, and the marinara was right on par. Would highly recommend.

Perhaps I am too literal and too punctual, but if an establishment, any establishment, states they open at 11:00 AM, I dont expect the doors to still be locked at 11:05 AM. But if they are running late, I dont feel it too much to ask that one of the 15+ employees who could obviously see us at the door either unlock the door or poke their head out and say "just a sec". Allowing us to leave in frustration seemed like poor form. Pity as I wanted to share this place with my wife. Now I think theyre banned permanently.

Placed a lunch togo order here. Spaghetti sauce was pretty good. It was a lunch portion which drastically differs from the awesome meaty pics i saw. Alfredo sauce was pretty good too, but the shrimp was overcooked. Bread was as tasty as it looks. Also, the atmosphere is really cool. Id probably dine in just to read all the signs. Eager to grab dinner here to give this place another shot. Most of the reviews are awesome, and it would be nice to have an authentic Italian spot i dont have to get "dressed" for lol.

Seriously, service is not even in the vocabulary here. We sat down waited for about 5 minutes to be approached by a server, ok not hateful. She took our order then after 30 minutes still no food! Several people came in were waited on and served while we waited. One of our group walked up to the area where the servers were and asked if our order was forgoten. She became rude and dismisive then returned to say it never made it to the kitchen. She offered no apology nor did the management, we left without eating.

I dont understand why Mad Italian is not on every corner like Wendys or McDonalds! The Mad Italian cheese steak is the best sandwich in town! And it has been for decades. I am guilty of not trying their other menu items like the pizza or spaghetti or their wings, but one day I "may" break tradition and try something besides my customary 8" cheese steak sandwich! You know what? I must have eaten over a hundred yards of cheese steak sandwichs from Mad Italian over the past many many years! Gotta love them!

Ive been here a few times and always enjoy the food. I like the size and atmosphere of the restaurant. The service is good and I dont usually have to wait long for my order. One time I went and it took 45 mins to get our food due to a huge to go order that was placed right before we ordered. We didnt complain about it, but I feel like they could of handled it better and should have taken care of the guest inside the restaurant first. Overall I love the food and will continue to be a customer.

Liked them until I discovered on my online statement that they charged my card with another tables bill on top of mine . Called them several times asking them to remove the unlawful charges and they never did even tho they said they would . After a week of at least 3 calls waiting for them to do right by me iI had to dispute the charge with my card company and have my card cancelled because they did nothing about it . My last time there for sure .
