Bartender Nick (if thats his real name. Short guy with a beard) working tonight (March 3rd, 2017) was extremely rude, to say the least. He was screaming, "i dont understand you" and "welcome to America!" while throwing a drink (bud light) to one of girls. He proceeded to announce to the whole bar mocking “She wants a bud light”, “she said she wants a bud light” about five or six times. Afterwards, Nick also made his business to step outside the Pub while the party was leaving to see what car the girl was getting into (which worried me a little). He did not realized that he humiliated, discriminated and harassed one of the best PhD students Chemistry Department has ever had simply based on her accent. Unacceptable and I am expecting this person to be fired. University regularly brings prospective students and has regular hangouts at the Pub. Amazingly, Nick treated other people at the bar rudely too. No paying customer deserves this kind of treatment. No human deserves this kind of treatment. Hopefully somebody will post the video of the situation recorded soon. I wish I could give it a zero. First time at the Pub will be our last.

I will never go to this place again, Horrible service! Twice in less than two weeks I have gone with my co-workers for drinks and food and have walked out. Both times it was not busy inside and plenty of open tables. We get seated, look at the menu and sit there for over 10 minutes and not a single server comes by. Both times multiple servers passed our table and NO ONE stopped to say "Ill will be right with you" or even get out drink orders. There were even servers sitting around talking and again not a single one served us, and this was 6pm on a Friday. This is what I call Horrible Customer Service.

Ambience: Clean spacious looks really nice inside. Patio is great overlooking the pond. Service: The waitress was nice and attentive. Sometimes took a little longer to get refills. Food: You would be better off going to something like Applebees. Food is bland and over priced. I would not be surprised if half the menu is frozen at some point. Portions are extremely underwhelming for the price. Drink menu is decent and they do have a decent variety of house shots. Its too bad that this is the only sit down restaurant in West Ames. Unless youre going for drinks I would avoid this restaurant.

Service was slow. Had too call on three different wait staff to serve and take care of us. Food was not cooked to order. Cook forgot bacon on a bacon cheese burger. And meat was undercooked on one of the burgers. Also wait staff did not take the time to ask us if we needed anything and couldnt wait to rush away. Also table did not have ketchup and because lack of services had to grab one from another table. This is the second time I have been here and both time service has been similar, probably wont go here again. Other places offer similar atmosphere with better customer service.

Literally was served a raw chicken wing. When we pointed it out to the server, she said "Well I dont know how that could happen, it was cooked twice." Ummm, ok...but its still raw. No apology--wanted to argue about it. No offer to take it off the bill. Instead she asked, "What do you want me to do about it?" Crazy! Beer not very cold, other food very mediocre at best. Last trip here!!

I always enjoy dining at West Towne Pub. We had a waitress weve seen previously along with a new trainee. Both did a great job of checking in with us. The trainee also took it upon herself to stop by; I think shell do well. I had a French dip and asked for sweet peppers to be added. I was not disappointed. Also my fries were all crispy which is how I love them.

Got our food before our silverware and had to ask our waitress twice for some, followed by asking a different waitress that finally got us some silverware. Food portions were small compared to price. First time i ever had my side salad come on a small dessert sized plate. Not impressed.

They have a lot of different kinds of burgers. Some strange combinations but it is fun to try them out. The place looks really nice and has a patio to sit on outside. Service is pretty good but can be a little slow at times. Not a bar to go crazy at but still fun on game days

Staff was friendly but service was slow. They were kind of busy, but not busy enough to be that slow. The waitresses seemed a little scattered and confused. May have just been a bad night. Otherwise, food was good and great atmosphere for Cyclone fans!!!

Service was awful, the server was nice but it took forever to accomplish any task. When I go to restaurant I except the whole shabang, if I wanted good food, Id stay home and cook it myself. Food was average, not worth the price. Wont be going back.

Service can be lackluster at times. Food is passable, standard bar fare. Solid tap list and some good craft beer in bottles. Good place to watch games. Overall, not bad, but West Ames could use another pub.

I love this place. Good burgers. Good wings. Good beer selection. Nice atmosphere. I like to get outside seating when weather permits. But so does everyone else, so get there early if/when you want to do that.

Theres weekly activities and deals, so you could come here for those socials. The food is good, but some of the names are misleading: be sure you know what youre ordering if its your first time there.

I had a French dip sandwich & fries, which were really good. Then I had a brownie dessert. Our waiter did a good job. I enjiyed the outdoor seating for the going away celebration.

Overpriced drink and underwhelming eats. Cant even pour a proper beer ; youre more likely to get a pint of foam than anything. West town definitely needs another establishment

My waitress was a star at customer service. I enjoyed the pond in the back that added to the old Town feel of this place. The food and beer was great too.
