As a Caribbean person from NY that is a now in Tampa, theres a finally a decent place to get cooking similar to the restaurants there. Food is much better than the other so called Caribbean eateries here in Tampa. Food is hot and fresh, not old, reheated and reserved like the other places. You may have to wait a few minutes at times, but youre guaranteed a fresh meal. There is something for every person in regards to their native island dishes, from Roti, ( a caribbean burrito to those who dont know), to jerk, to ackee and saltfish for the Jamaican foodies. Homemade drinks as well, sorrel, ginger beer, mauby, etc.

I saw the reviews written on here so I decided to check it out. I ordered the ox-tail and the lady said I needed to wait 30 minutes until it was cooked. Im like o.k. After 30 pass. Then she tells me that it wont be ready for another 45 minutes. She wanted me to try the chicken or the fish. That is not want I was in the mood for. After reluctantly trying to decide what else I can order. I went with the Curry goat! I dont know if its that I dont like curry, but the food was at best mediocre. Where im from we do not cook our goat with Curry!

Caribbean Crown came highly recommended to me by a friend, and I must say that the food was spectacular. Not only was it affordable (dinner special), it had great taste with homemade freshness. The hospitality I received was warm and welcoming, and I even left with a post dinner snack! First time trying this cuisine, but it definitely wont be the last. I highly recommend.

Seriously questioning some of these reviewers & their tastebuds. Nothing about my dish of stewed chicken, rice w/peas, & cabbage had Caribbean flavor. Like NONE whatsoever. Asked for extra gravey over my rice & they drowned it, resulting in a weird after taste. Also didnt care for how the cabbage was cut up. Customer service was okay. Likely not to return.

Great food, but the credit goes to the old lady in the back that has the magic hands, the old lady from Trinidad (you barely ever see her). I sure hope the owner is taking good care of her, because if that old lady is not there, that restaurant would be nothing! Hats off to the REAL cook in the back, the Trini Tanty!!

Caribbean Crown Restaurant is fabulous!! My husband (who is caribbean) and I ate there and the food was FANTASTIC very very authentic! Island feel in the restaurant and excellent service! Homeade Sorrel, Ginger beer, and Mauby! I had the Curry Goat Roti yum yum yum just like Mama makes!!! Take me to the mother land!!!!

Food is very very good and is always fresh, and is priced..I highly recommend the red snapper/escoveitch with whatever that sauce is over it....customer service has been great always..the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because I have not been there enough for 100% approval(3 visits)

The first few times we ate the food was good. The problem isnt the taste its the fact that it spoils so quickly we bought food and within a matter of 15 minutes in the car it started smelling spoilt. The last time we ended up with gastric issues. I wouldnt suggest it.

I just left this place from order food and they gave me a corner of curry goat and the food looked sloppy. Then I called, the lady hung up in my face and ignored my other calls that I attempted to make. I will never go to this place ever again.

Wow! Awesome food. So cheap. Super friendly service. Very flavorful with good portion sizes. Highly recommend. We loved the doubles, curry goat, ox tail, jerk chicken, and homemade ginger beer.
