My Husband and I have been to this establishment several times and always enjoyed our experience. Tonight was very different. We called ahead to order togo because we felt like staying inside and watching a movie. We called approximately 25 minutes prior to arriving. Once we arrived it was busy as usual. We walk up to the front to pick up our order. The hostess, a blond young lady greeted us and asked what we ordered. My husband told her his name and she replied "We dont take names" although it was provided on the phone. We looked at each other in a daze, kind of confused. We didnt remember our order verbatim but we did the best we could to ramble off what we thought we ordered. We saw a bag of food sitting on the counter of the hostess table but never was it checked to see if it was ours. She told us to sit at the bar while we waited. I thought this seemed strange but I stood next to the bar and watched her NOT ONCE call for our food or walk to the back to check if it was ready. She continued to seat guest and mark off table numbers as if we were not even there. A few workers came up to close their tabs while she continued to seat guess. I felt like this was very odd and to stop myself from saying something Id later regret I stepped out for some fresh air. After 7-8 minutes of waiting and nothing my husband asked one of the servers if he could see if the bag of food sitting on the counter was ours, by this time I had just walked back in. The server, a polite hispanic gentleman opened the bad and confirmed that it was our food. I was furious by now. I looked up and said "So this was our food the entire time?" The host without a care simply asked "whats the problem?" I was so furious I walk out, but not before my Husband spoke to the manager. My Husband asked the server that helped up confirm that our food as on the counter to speak with the manager. The hostess continued to interject by asking my husband "What is the problem?". My husband politely to her that his request was to speak with the manager. The manager came and my husband expressed our problem. The manager apologize but offered nothing for the blatant and in my opinion RACIST behavior exhilarated by the the host. By the time we got home the fajita nachos that I ordered were soggy and cold. I ended up throwing nearly all of it away. We paid over $20.00 for cheese nachos, chicken casadias, and Fajita nachos. We are educated African-American Professionals. We did not deserve the treatment we received at this establishment and will NOT return. We will inform our family and friends that until action is taken against the young lady who blatantly and rudely disrespected us is removed from the establishment.

OWNER MUST READ....as a frequent traveler eating out has become a daily activity. I came to your restaurant based on your reviews and a craving for Mexican food. As in any business service is key. Treating your clients to feel welcomed is essential for the success of every business. Unfortunately, from a business owner to another your service is shameful. No matter how well your food taste, if your front end customer service is less than mediocre consider this business closed soon. We were greeted with the time your restaurant will close. We were seated with the time your restaurant closes. Shortly after, we were not asked, we were told to place the order NOW because your kitchen closes 10 mins before 10:00. Its unfortunate I was never given a chance to rate the heart of your business; the kitchen the cooks flavor. I would have spoken to your so called manager for the night but it was obvious he was a fill in or one who lacks managerial skills. As a manager you manage your staff to provide only exceptional service.... It is quite a mistake embarrassing I must add, for someone of his below level skill and attitude was left for the night to represent your organization, his reflection has tarnished your employees and most important the business you service. In my business when the last customer leaves is when the business closes. My rating is truly 0.

Agave Azul is one of the best mexican restaurants I have ever had the opportunity to encounter. The atmosphere has a fresh modern look, with blue neon, chrome and water features. Things I dont usually associate with Authentic Mexican establishment. My wife and I love the fresh take on traditional food and the friendly service. The boys enjoy the less adventurous standard Tex-Mex fare, but even that is made with quality ingredients and large portions that mean you will have lunch the next day. Everyone is welcoming and we have never had to wait long for a table. The patio out front overlooks the strip mall parking lot, so we have always opted to eat inside. The prices typically range on either side of $10 and considering what you usually come across in Orlando, quite reasonable and far better than you would expect for the quality of food you get. They have the best selections of Tequila I have ever seen and the drinks are as innovative as the food and equally as affordable. Appropriate for all ages. Come and enjoy the party and you wont be disappointed.

I typically avoid local restaurants ive never heard of like the plague. I went to a heavily touted BBQ joint in Orlando, and it sucked. I love bbq, and it was horrible lol. I say that to say this, Agave Azul has some AMAZING food. My wife and I ordered the Mexico City wings, Margaritas, and the Burrito Loco thing. Man that was an awesome burrito. We had steak added to it, and it was the most flavorful steak in a burrito ive ever had. They werent cheap about the meat either, you got big pieces of it throughout the burrito. The best thing about this food is its so well seasoned. Ive always hated Chipotle, because they dont know how to season their food. If you enjoy Chipotle, when you go here youll rethink that. Its too bad you guys dont have a place in the Tampa area. Id go just about every week if you did. Please expand to the west coast. Service was awesome as well, reminded me of a chinese buffet where the waiters are always asking if you want more to drink, more this, more that. We were there for lunch.

Hola yelp community. After a quick trip to Universal parks me and the girls decided to munch in some authentic Mexican cuisine. It was my first time here and I can say from the outside view so blue to walking into a blue and silver theme restaurant I was amazed by the decor. I did not come for decor I came for the food and what I can say is that it was so so so good. The service was great from the feel of our server Diego greeting us in traditional language (that most Americans can understand) to go right into the special drinks for tonight and making sure to give us a stamp of approval for all the food there being great. If the ladies had specific item they were looking to eat he new exactly what would would be good for their taste and spice level. From great service to fast but hot, beautiful plates that came out and I cant forget the fresh salsa and chips before our entrees. You have to go if you havent been or in the area visiting our beautiful city if Orlando,Florida. Aidios
