Any negative review is from a millennial that just moved to town and wants everything modern and pristine. If thats you, then leave this gem to the nostalgic folks that appreciate that crude niceness that goes with old school waitress that have been there probably long before you were born. Tell me where else you can get a perfectly cooked prime rib dinner for $16? This place just turn out food, they tunr it out with love. Yes the pizza is great, but honestly this is the place you wanna sit down and eat at. So if you are ordering anything else besides pizza for take out, honestly dont complaint about the nuances. They are also amazing at special requests. When I was pregnant with my daughter i had very specific cravings for specific restaraunts. I.e., must have a burger ONLY from.doyles in JP or must have chick marsala from pleasant. I really needed mozarella to be melted in top. There chefs broiled the cheese atop The chicken and the pasta and chicken was swimming in the most decadent marsala sauce ever, just how I like it. They surely aim to please, and the prices are just eight for the comfort lever of quality.

Ive only had the pizza and pasta at Pleasant, but if it werent for the kids Im sure wed go there a lot more often. Everything there is old school. The waitresses have probably been there for a few decades and service is meh, but they dont make places like this anymore and I dont think anythings changed there since I was born. Great to have a place like this in the neighborhood.

I come here at least once a month. The food is awesome. The fish is always fresh. I enjoy the scallops, scrod, and salmon. Pizza is also great. The place has its own personality and the waitresses are real characters. Try the daily specials, corned beef and Cabbage on Thursdays is spot on. Friday nights are very busy.

Im shocked they have a website. Those reviewers who said Pleasant Cafe is so dated that it is trendy are spot-on! The waitresses are gruff, if you ask for bread you get sliced white bread, and they make 1 size of pizza. The pizza is a smallish large pizza. It feeds 3 comfortably. It is clean and very no-nonsense.

Love OT good pizza,specials are good price and excellent quality. Relaxed environment a d waitresses are available but not overwhelming you with " hows everything" every time you take a bite of food.Good place to watch the game,have dinner and relax. Good drink menu and reasonable prices! Family friendly too!

Very disappointed. The staff was unfriendly and they messed up my order TWICE. Didnt even give me anytthing for it either they just went on their merry way. From what i did get, the food tasted like it was frozen and then put in a microwave. The pizza was soggy and just poor service. I shall not be returning.

Food was okay, wait staff was nice but when we were seated they did not know who our server was and we waited a long time to be helped. However, our waitress was nice and very genuine. This is definitely a place for locals and provides a lot of color.

Original parkway pizza house is as it always was. Stick to house specialties or daily specials. Pizza, veal sandwiches, parmigiana, etc. Good onion rings, beer selections. Old school feel. Free parking across street. Inexpensive.

I love this place. I order from here at least once a week. Inside it looks like they havent renovated since the sixties, but I wouldnt change a thing. The pizza is amazing and its everything you want from a local joint.

They have changed over the years, & food flavors are good. Menu items are varied. Their workers are always the kindest & welcoming people, even during those mad crazy rushes & most busy times.

I really like their pizza (some people love it); I would describe it as greek-style: on the heavy side and rather greasy -- too greasy for my wife. Locals swarm here on Fridays and Saturdays.
