Service was really great here, as was the food! Im a stickler about Mexican foods, and this place was good. Im honestly torn between 3 and 4 stars. There wasnt anything that stood out as very unique, but I heard they have a dinner buffet. We stopped in for a late lunch and I ordered the Chicken Chipotle. If youre not into medium-to-hot dishes, stay away from this one. The chicken itself was marinated and seasoned well, besides having a generous pool of chipotle sauce (seemed as though they just dumped 2 cans of chipotle sauce and peppers into a processor, as there were seeds all throughout the sauce). I didnt mind the seeds but some people do. Nothing was disappointing, so Ill definitely come back to try more things.

The food was okay, but the service made me give this place four stars. One of the main things I judge a Mexican food place by is their chips and salsa. The chips were okay, the salsa was a little disappointing - kind of tasted like the jarred salsa you buy at the store, but spicier. The tacos were good, the chicken was seasoned well, and the quesadilla was alright. I had a pretty basic meal and was not overly impressed but I did enjoy it and will definitely be back to try more things!

Great tacos, however the place was unnecessarily cold for a restaurant. My tacos were cold one minute after they were on my table. They still were good tho. The Chile relleno was too salty but the lady took it off the bill without me asking for it. So service is amazing, and Ill come back to check other dishes. Hopefully theyll have a decent temperature for a restaurant, is not nice to eat in a cold/chilly environment, makes me wanna leave fast.

was a regular customer due to location and most of the staff is nice. had a bad experience with 2 of the workers, messed up my order, tried to over charge me, then forgot to give me my change.. food usually is good but my queadilla was soggy, small and they forgot my chips. the girl was very rude and got upset at me over her own mistakes. she definitely make sure they messed up my food. didnt get her name but she was the fat one

Was coming here as my go-to mexican because of the location, but after my last disappointing experience I wont be back. They dont honor their specials, bartender too busy on the floor, so he wasnt behind the bar to make drinks, order got messed up which happened every time for the last 4 or 5 times.. not enough staff I guess or no management. It felt like a stressful environment and it wasnt even that busy.

I have eaten at alot of Mexican restaurants and El Potro is honestly the best "real" Mexican food around. It definitely has the homemade flavor and I pretty much tried everything in the buffet and it was all fresh and delicious...highly recommend this place and will be back soon..if I could rate higher I would...very friendly staff ...Mercedes was our waitress and she was awesome!!!!

The service is really bad, the worst and the quality of the food is not the best, in my first visit I had to stand two times to ask for soda, nobody atend me... in my second time and the last, I was with my work partners and the waitress serve to us wrong plates, I had been in anothers Rest El Potro and the service is the best, but not in this one....

I just had my pura burrito of carne asada! It was amazing like other google said! thank you! Very good size and such a generous amount of meat for the reasonable price! I was worried the meat quality and the taste since its cheap but surprisingly the meat tasted good and I liked it : also, I like their salsa, too! Ill def come back!!

Had the lunch buffet. I normally dont like buffets because the food is not usually fresh. Some buffets are just plain nasty. But here it tasted as fresh as if I ordered off the menu. Delicious Mexican food. My favorite so far in Orlando. You can order off the menu as well if you dont want the buffet. I will be back!

The food was just OK. The flautas were very greasy and overcooked. Tacos were greasy. Burrito was good. Chips and salsa were good. The guacamole gets 0 stars. Seriously, no lime or salt or anything? Just plain avocados? Thats not guacamole, thats an avocado dip. And for that, I dont think Id have a reason to ever return.

Nice place for a quick bite in between lunch and dinner. A very relaxed atmosphere and quintessentially Mexican. The tamales may not be the best around, but the menu is diverse enough to please partial to a "real" Mexican palate. Its not "the best thing ever, omg!!!1one", but it doesnt pretend to be. And thats okay!

Been to this restaurant about 4 times now, I have always walked out happy, about the food and about the service. It really is 4-5 star quality mexican at 2-3 star prices in my opinion. Not to mention my girlfriend is mexican, and she has always loved it as well, about 95% of the items are fully authentic tasting.

Quaint and simple in decor, but rich in food and service. The lunch buffet is also delicious. It is packed with tasty and varied Mexican fare. They offer the buffet some nights as well. Thursdays for sure. Dont pass up the broiled fish. It is delicious. Definitely my favorite mexican restaurant.

Absolutely the best Mexican food in the Orlando area!!! After being in Florida (from Texas) since 1989, I had given up on finding authentic Mexican cuisine, but this is unbelievably good stuff and priced right. Fantastic drink specials and exceptional buffet. Outstanding staff.

Very nice place. Buffet ($11.99) was fresh, decent variety and desserts were good too (they have flan on it). They also have a variety of "a la carta menu" if looking for less expensive options. Service was very courteous and professional. Got served by Edel. Recommended place.

The service was outstanding, went about an hour before they closed so there was only one server doing 10 tables and our drinks were always full. The carnitas were amazing as was the chimichanga, beef nachos, and supreme quesadilla were great. Perfect stop for after Disney!

I went here to try out the buffet at the suggestion of a couple of friends. It was delicious, very fresh and the service is excellent. The staff constantly stops by the table to refill drinks and show a lot of pride in what they do. I will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed this place. Good chips and salsa, good queso, good rice and beans. Enchiladas were solid, but nothing special. Service was super quick too. For what it is (an inexpensive, quick sit down Mexican place), definitely cant complain about a thing.

Its my second time there and I kick myself for not going more often especially I pass by it almost everyday. My coworkers and I love the lunch buffet to the point no one wanted to go back to work. No matter what you eat you will enjoy your meal.
