I used to love this place, but it was the only mexican restaurant i went to, Now ive tried numerous ones and notice its flaws. Bland tasting salsa when compared to other local restaurants, and decent food, but nothing spectacular when compared to other restaurants. Although unlike the other reviewers, the employees will eventually know you by name/face, and will sometimes let you slide with just paying your food, and void out your drink. They are always nice to me, and treat me like family. Although this is a 3/5 star rating system i would give it a 3.5/5 stars because of the gratuity/hospitality of the employees.

Okay is a good star description. Just average, chips were a little too thick and hard and not warm at all. Tacos were a little better flavor than La Nopalera down the road but the chips and salsa - ehhhh. I worked had a tex mex place for almost a year and we always had thin (but able to withstand chunky salsa), hot, and tastefully salted chips with some flavorful salsa that actually had a bit of substance to it. These chips preeetty much sucked. Service was average, nothing to complain about. Like I said for La Nopelara, edible but not great.

GREAT FOOD. ALTHOUGH I PERFER THE CANCUN ON JHONNY MERCER... THIS ONE IS PRETTY GOOD. NEW STAFF, NEW MANAGERS= GREAT SERVICE. VERY CLEAN RESTAURANTS. THEY MAINTAIN A GOOD RESTAURANT SCORE.. NEVER SEEN IT BELOW A 90. GOOD SPACE FOR PARTES OF 30+ PEOPLE,FOOD IS PRICED WELL, THEY GIVE YOU ENOUGH FOOD... VERY QUICK SERVICE, THEY HAVE A FEW MESS-UPS SUMTIMES..BUT ITS NORMAL...HAPPY HOUR IS GREAT ALTHOUGH I WISHED THEY SERVED FLAVORED MARGARITAS.. OTHER THEN THAT BEST TEX-MEX RESTAURANT IN SAVANNAH. =)

Food is fast, and bland. Salsa is the flavorful and spicy but purred beyond recognition. The guacamole is of average flavor and appearance, it looks like preprepared poor quality, store bought without appreciable chunks of avocado, and a florescent green color. Entires across the board the food lack seasoning, portions are large and fair priced. Fair is standard from tacos, burritos and enchiladas without any specialties or more traditional Mexican, or South American cuisines.

Went in for a pick up order on 11/28/2015, because the food is usually great and the service is fast. When I reached into the bag to pull out the chips and salsa, a baby German Roach was resting on the side of the bag the chips were in, still alive. Where there is baby roaches, there is an infestation. Take precaution. Youre at your own risk. This is not an attempt to ruin the reputation of the restaurant, because it used to be one of my favorite places to eat.

my husband and I went here for lunch today and we both got the combo plate of 1 chili rieno and 1 enchillada with rice and beans. to be completely honest our favorite thing was the chips and salsa. everything else seemed like it had come from a microwave dinner. had a gross flavor and even the chips werent even that good like they were reheated from earlier in the day.. i would not recommend.

My favorite Mexican place in Savannah, not only because Ive never had a bad meal, but because its a place that a broke college student can go to and not empty their wallet. It was a place frequented almost weekly by me and friends when I lived there, and when I go back to visit I always make sure to go. Clean place, polite staff, food is always good.

My family loves this place, our favorite Mexican food in Savannah. (Actually this is what we compare other Mexican restaurants to, so far in or travels we have found none better. ) Maria is our favorite server, we always request her. Always happy with food, service, quality, quantity, and cleanliness. Great restaurant!

Great food, good prices. The only negative I have is the service is sometimes slow. Not the kitchen staff getting the food cooked/prepared, but the servers being attentive. Its hit and miss, but not a major negative.

Worst dining ever. Waitress was rude waited 10 min for chips asked 2 times for them rude answer. Drink made my tongue numb. Wouldnt drink it she took it to the bar and made fun of me. Anyways horrible experience

Nice chips sometimes they are not too crunchy, but its good. The chips will fill you up really good. My favorite is the roasted chickens breast just say pollo asado. Its so good.

Great nachos, tacos and cheese dip. Service was great. The frozen margaritas were probably the worst margaritas Ive ever had. They tasted like a four loko or lime-a-rita. Gross!
