It takes a lot to get me to come here and go out of my way to leave a review. I could get shot and Id rather drive myself to the ER rather than bother someone with 911. This place is literally worse than the Holocaust. Im not racist by any means but right off the bat the waiter clearly doesnt understand English and talks very short and quietly as an attempt to mask this. My order was COMPLETELY wrong. I ordered white and received black. He then came back to check on us and asked if everything was ok and good and after clearly saying no and expressing dissapointment only said "o so sorry broter" and then speedily left. Never checked on us again after. Paid full price for a meal with not even a full bite taken out of me. Id rather vote for Bernie than come back and order.

This rest. has been in the area for as long as i remember which is rare for such a small family owned restaurant. They recently remodeled which obviously shows their success. Their food is amazing! Very authentic mexican food, at a phenominal price!! The staff is always overly accomodating and extremly pleasant. I would rate more than 5 stars if possable. Its always great to see a small business thriving...and for all the right reasons! Their cheese dip is the best! if you go u at least have to get some of their cheese nachos to try the dip, its amazing!

A panhandler was here. Saw someone try to give employees a heads up, but nothing was done as far as Im concerned. I didnt stay to see what happened about panhandler, so all I can hope that the manager was told. A lot of places I went to cut up quesadilla into handheld pieces, but the one I got wasnt and I didnt mind, because it was busy the time I got here. First time here, so If you ordered quesadilla I dont think they cut them up here. Either get messy or use a knife and fork and jab at it. Good food though.

I love el san Jose I go there all the time with my family. Its just a awesome atmosphere to eat traditional Mexican food that is made in house. All there food is delicious. The only problem I would have is some days the service is terrible meaning it takes forever for the waiter to come take and drink and food order. But I guess you will have that with every place sometimes. Other than that the service is wonderful in most cases , eating for two you are In and out between a half hour and a hour.

07-15-17 We stopped for a quick dinner,my companion had a burrito and I enjoyed two tacos,beans and rice,and of course cheese and chips.All hot and tasty.(from before) Good food,service and prices with good portion sizes.If you have a craving for mexican food,in my opinion this is the best place to go in the Dover,New Philadelphia area.The service is fast and friendly.Food is hot and tasty.The corn chips and white cheese dip are good also.

We will never return to this restaurant. We took our grandma out to dinner for her birthday. When they brought out her dessert, one of the servers shoved a spoonful of ice cream and whipped cream all over her face. It was extremely rude, and she was so embarrassed. I was shocked. They were all laughing at her. It wasnt funny. She never wants to return bc of house they treated her. Theyre food is good, but customer service is horrendous.

Best Mexican food Ive ever had. Im so picky.. I never thought I could be this happy! Love it here! I got the Mexico special, and the cheese sause is unbelievably good! Beans are good! Service was top notch never got to the bottom of the glass or the nachos! Asked how we liked it 3 times and the food came out crazy fast. Never been to a better Mexican restaurant and Ive been to Mexico and alot state wide.

Good service. Good margarita specials on Monday. Got the peach margarita on the rocks, half pitcher. Delicious. Salsa was acceptable. Got san jose special, which was 3 enchiladas (beef, chicken, cheese) with rice. Beef enchilada was ground beef with onions. Different fruition what Im used to, but pretty good. Id definitely recommend this place at least for the drinks on Mondays.

As a full blooded Mexican, I can tell you that traveling this far north. My expectations of an authentic Mexican meal were not at possible. This is not a true Mexican restaurant, food is very bland and has no taste. After ordering Combo 15, and trying the tamale, I couldnt eat anymore, it was the most discussing tamale Ive ever had and I could go as far to say cardboard would have more taste. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

This restaurant is a favorite place for my wife and me. The prices are great and the food is even better. We come as often as we can, and weve gotten to know some of the friendly servers. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves free chips and salsa and a great Mexican environment.

Best Mexican Ive had in quite a while. Great food, great service. Average prices, not cheap, but definitely not too expensive. Had the lunch "burrito especial" both times Ive been there, very good. Will make it point to return when Im in the area.

Vegetarian friendly. My wife and i where passing through on I-77 and stopped. What a wonderful place to eat, low prices, and friendly service. We wish this place was closer to our home.
