Food was very good, the waitress who was serving my table did not introduce herself, she left me there waiting for at least 10 minutes without a tea refill, when the buzzer went off to brings me my meal she ignored it. And took a party of three orders then when she went back to the kitchen ,5 minutes later another waitress emerge with the meal and she acted like she was mad with the world. She pushed the meal in my face never said a word and walked off ,tea glass still empty. But their was one waitress who scanned the room and saw too my needs, she saw I was waiting a terrible long time for everything and came to my assistance. Dont know her name but she gave me change for twenty which I in turn tipped her instead of the Hispanic lady who was serving my table. I do thank her very much for keeping the feel of home in place. I came there from church on 7/9/17. Hope this young lady goes through a retraining process. Sherman Hargrove, from North Carolina building a solar farm for Duke energy.

We used to always make this a must stop at place when traveling to North Florida which do often. That is no longer the case. We stopped in a few weeks ago on our way to North Florida again for breakfast. Server was not friendly which was weird as this is a small town. The breakfast came out a soggy greasy mess. The "home fries" literally dripped grease when picked up with my fork. The server forgot to bring out our biscuits and toast so we had to remind her. Also, she seemed to disappear. She never came to check on us once. Then when it was time for the check we had to stare down the other servers who finally went to find her. The service and food quality has gone downhill here. What happened?? We wont be back.

Very slow service. Waited 24 minutes for a kids meal. And another 11 minutes for our meals. Sad part is they werent even busy. No excuse to take that long. Once we recieved our meals my order was wrong. The bacon was burnt. And the philly omlet was mde with generic steak. "Steakums" i beleive. Explained to the hostess how long it took and she proceeds to give attitude Bout how they were full on both sides. I politely informed her that the side I was on was half empty. She smirks and says "anything else I can help you with"? Will not be going back.

My experience was disappointing. I ordered a cinnamon roll. It arrived quickly and was generously portioned. It was stale, dry and cold inside. I did not eat it. Waitress asked if there was a problem. I told her why I was eating my husbands toast instead of my roll. She offered to bring something else. I told her no, thanks, I would finish the toast. There was no apology; the roll was not removed from the table or the bill. Husbands breakfast was okay.

Service has gone WAY down, prices are still high (which equates to Over Priced now for what you get), quality dropped. And to top it off the cashier who it turns out is one of the Owners is Rude/Obnoxious to people if you are a "New local" and dont have social status in Her option. REFUSE to go back ... sad because we Used to go in 3+ times a week, but NOT with Her bitchy attitude we wont give them a Penny!

On June 24th, 2016, I had an appetizer of Fried Green Tomatoes and the Fried Chicken Lunch Special. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic; fried to perfection and seasoned very well. As for the staff, they were attentive to my needs and extremely helpful. The next time that I am in Live Oak, this restaurant will definitely be on my "to do" list!

Food was pretty good, but that was completely overshadowed by extremly slow. Took forever for everything, drinks, order, and to get our food. To our surprise, 18% gratituity was automatically added to the ticket, so I decided to voice my complaint in this manner. By the way, we visited Sat evening, June 4th.

Rather expensive but a good home cooked meal. Check out the chef for a gourmet meal that will make you feel so good that you will be booked ahead to get that service that you expect from a true Super Chef. They can cater to as many guests as you have, slaw was so good I ate the gallon tub in one week!

Servers have gotten to be short & lack Service. Cashier/owner as it turns out is Rude & nasty to non-local residents (aka anyone she doesnt deem Important). After being treated so poorly and insulted directly the last time - I havent been back. And NEVER will under current ownership!!

Food was good, but portions tiny. I ordered sandwich and salad bar only to find out it is 1 tiny bowl of salad bar. Other things listed 1 bowl and this didnt so i didnt expect it. $50 for 3 young kids & 2 adults. Delicious food though.

When we walked in we got a "homey" feeling and we were greeted and attended promptly, which was nice! The breakfast was delicious and our server Andrea was great!

Friendly service, great food for the most part and far enough off the grid to have a locals kind of feel. Skip the big chain restaurants and try Dixie.
