My husband and I had breakfast and according to our ticket and receipt had Alice as our server. The food was fair, I have had better, it did not come out hot. I requested extra napkins which she left to get but didnt return with any. My husband spoke up and asked her again for extra napkins, she returned a good while later with 2 napkins that she dropped at our table in her rush to be somewhere else. I guess they are rationing the napkins. She was very abrupt and what I can only say as curt. She took our orders but we barely had time to speak before she had turned and left. I requested a coffee refill twice that went unnoticed until again my husband spoke up a bit more vocally than we would like a refill. We thanked her each time she showed up at our table but she never lingered to say "youre welcome". Needless to say, we did not feel a need to leave a tip and will not go back to this restaurant. She did seem to have a certain set of customers that she was friendly with so I know she is capable of being friendly, I guess it is depending on who you are and that is sad as anyone working in any form of customer service should treat each customer with courtesy. Just in the event that the name on our receipt is not accurate of who really served us, we were seated, according to our receipt at table 12 and this was on Sunday morning, May 29th, time stamped at 11:43 AM. She had colored blonde hair and was maybe in her late 40s, possibly 50s. Maybe if the owner/manager reads this you will know the employee I am referring to, unless you are Alice and also the owner, in which case you will for sure know!! A response to this is not required or needed as we wont be back, this was the second time at this restaurant, unfortunately with the same person as our server and we had the same sort of unpleasant experience with her then. The two star rating is for the two extra napkins she did bring after being asked twice as well as the coffee refills that had to be asked for twice.

Walked in the door around 7:00 PM on a Wednesday night. Waited to be greeted for about 3-5 minutes and then waited again to be seated for around 5 min. When we finally sat down, it took another 5 minutes for us to be greeted at our table. Just to get our drinks, after we noticed everyone around us was getting their drinks, seemed like an eternity! We ordered the pepperoni pizza and the chicken pesto pizza (both of which were very good). I happened to see another lady at another table order soup, and was curious what the soup of the day was. I caught our waitress heading back to the kitchen and stopped her and asked "what is your soup today just out of curiousity?". She replied "chicken jalepeno...oh and you get a free soup or salad with your meal today". Shocked that this was our first time, and we had no idea that on Wednesdays you receive a free soup or salad with your meal. A little annoyed by now, we ordered a salad with ranch and a chicken jalepeno soup. She brought them out very promptly, but the salad had no dressing. She asked what kind of dressing we wanted on our salad.....really? Im not here to bash anyone. I have been in the food service industry before for many years. A few suggestions: if you are busy and cannot seat someone, at least acknowledge them in the mean time. Educate your service staff on the principles of consolidating and prioritizing. Overall, the food was good, the service was horrendous. More than likely wont be back.

Left feeling mislead and insulted. Informed our waitress we were using a Groupon and asked how to use it. She informed us that all we had to do was show it. We told her we needed a see and to look at the menu. When she returned, she informed us that we got free soup and toast with our order. The soup came and then our order. My mashed potatoes were ice cold. When I told the waitress, it took her so long to replace it that my steak had become cold as well. I figured that you get what you pay for and the poor service must have been why it was so cheap. The waitress then came and told us we could get half off a desert. I ordered a desert to go. It came on a plate, not to go. I was really frustrated by this point. I requested the check and gave the waitress our Groupon. When the check came back, she charged full price for the soup and desert. We informed her of this and she said there was nothing she could do since we used a Groupon. The same Groupon we asked about when we first sat down. Then when we talked to the manager, she was rude as well. No customer service at all. So not only was the service HORRIBLE but then we also overpaid. I havent been thus upset about a place in years!!!!!

Kind of a spur of the moment decision, but it ended up being a great one. The food was delicious and the service was one of a kind. The indoor part of the restaurant was packed so we asked if we could sit in the patio ( large party and can be kind of loud), Oscar the manager accommodated us and made us feel welcome from the get go! Of course with all the rain the mosquitoes were very active, so we decide to ask and see if there was a can of OFF or something to keep them away, (no biggie if there wasnt any we were going to head to Walmart real quick and buy some.) Well we found out later that they didnt have any but without even asking one of the servers went to the store and produced one for us. It was a small gesture that we were talking about the rest of the night. On top of that the food was great! Those hush puppies were incredible! Definitely will be back and I will definitely let everyone know about my awesome experience. Oscar is awesome, and keep up the great work. See you soon!!

I cant say I hate this place because I never ate there and never will nor will I reccomended it. Why? I had the opportunity to attend the battle of the AXE on September 11, 2015. When choosing a place to park I noticed they were open and decided their customers would need their parking spaces, so I parked at the bank beside them that was closed. As I crossed their parking lot some one open the door to let customers in and yelled at me and my daughter "Hey did you eat here?" I responded "No" expecting an invitation to come on in. He responded "Then you cant park here!" My response was "Im not in this parking lot..and with that invitation I will never eat here or recommend it." Heads up its hard being across from a high school on a football night, but you can catch more bees with honey!! Ruined my chances of ever eating at this restaurant. .Dang!!

Dinner tonight about 8pm. First time there & it was awesome! All around A+ experience. From the moment we walked in the door. With the live piano music in the background, to the immediate attention at the door, to the all around friendly, attentive staff. Waitress was Toni, and she was great. We made a wise decision by sitting at the counter. We had front row view of all the food coming out & the staff hard at work. Every plate that came out was/looked amazing! We loved the MGR. Showed great personality, professionalism, & attentiveness. I ordered tuna sandwich on walnut raisin bread w/side of pasta salad. Delish! Husband ordered meat breakfast. Steak, eggs, hashbrowns. He said was also great. Thank you! Maybe next time Ill try some of that delicious looking catfish was seemed to be a fav, And save room for the yummy bread pudding!
