This is one of the best Indian places in the area. They have a menu with good variety from all regions of India and several options for those who are vegetarian. In addition they also have a lunch buffet with some of the more common menu choices. Everything on the menu I have tried so far has been well worth the price. One word of warning would be that when the menu indicates "spicy" it is being honest. The portions are well sized and I almost always end up taking some food home with me. I would also give a thumbs up to the service. The staff are very attentive and polite, even when customers may not be. On a couple occasions when I visited they also have had live music in the form of a solo guitarist. All in all a highly recommended place to have a meal. The only negative that I would include, which is no fault of the restaurant, is simply the limited parking. With a limited number of street spaces and a small municipal garage across the street you may have to walk a ways from where you can find a spot.

The service was great, but the chef must have been new or angry. The vindaloo was not balanced and it had too much star anise. It overpowered everything. The chicken breast was undercooked with a weird texture. The Peshwaari naan had to be thrown out because it appears as if the baking soda and salt got mixed up. I was only able to eat the rice. Im a lover of Indian food, and Ive eaten it around the world, and that meal was not a good representation of the cuisine. I have it two stars because friends have reassured me that it is usually good. I dont think I will ever try them again, so I will have no basis for comparison.

The service was good as far as the waitress being courteous and workers were nice but unfortunately the food was not so great in my opinion. The curry chicken sauce was definitely different than what I have had in the past and not good in my view it reminded me of itialian sauce not curry sauce. We also had sheimp. Curry and the shrimp wasnt tender and disnt like the sauce and spices either. The naan bread did not look fresh and i just though it would be better and that we would receive better quality of food since location but that wasnt the case.

on Mothers Day 5/12/2013 we were celebrating my twin sons birthday. We made reservations for 7:45pm and only had to wait 10mins. there were four of us and each person ordered a different entree. We had shrimp, chicken, lamb and beef dishes. each dish was DELICIOUS. i asked for a special dessert for their birthday. they served a huge piece of cake that we all sang Happy Birthday over with 2 candles. i have been going to this restaurant for over 10yrs at least 3times a year. Very enjoyable evening.

I feel like this restaurant has slipped a little. The rice was not as good as usual, almost seemed slightly better than minute rice. The food was ok, but is usually stellar. It was Xmas eve so maybe theyre was different people in the kitchen. Even the drinks were very light on the alcohol. I would like to give it 3-1/2 stars, but giving it 4 until I go back again. Maybe it was just an off night

Although it is has a wonderful atmosphere and good location, the food and drinks have been disappointing. I have been there several times for both lunch and dinner, but after the sour mango lassi and cold samosa that we were served, I saw the walls of that restaurant for the last time. I had enjoyed their cuisine despite a few hiccups over the years, but I will not return here.

I work at Bronx Leb Hosp. My chief of dept. is awesome enough to frequently cater staff luncheons from this restaurant. The food is a big hit with all the staff from different cultures. The shrimp is the best and disappears fast. The cream spinach is fantastic and the samosas are a lil spicy but so good. I recommend your next catering be from this place, you wont regret it.

By far the best Indian food I have had in NY! Best part is that it is a family business. You can tell they put a lot of care in their food. I felt like I was eating in their home. We ordered the chicken masala and the lamb for dinner which came with a lentil soup, naan, and rice pudding. Everything was delicious, including the homemade mint chutney. Highly recommend!

I have been to dozens of Indian Restaurants on the east coast and this one is very good! I came for the lunch buffet and it was exquisite. The food is fresh, perfectly spiced and would be a great place to get takeout from as well. Cheers to the management for maintaining such a quality establishment.

I have been going here for the buffet for a few years now, I always have a great meal. The service is always on point, and the mango lassi is good after a spicy meal. Naan is great but goes fast, I love the cream spinach and potatoes. I would recommend this place for a good lunch or if your in a rush.

Very very good Samosas, they call them kheema Samosas. Also good soft lamb saag and please try their Mango Margarita, wont disappoint! We went on Wed night, they had good soft instrumental music and service was fast and professional. I will definitely come again. Price is reasonable.

Paneer Makhani (mild) was delicious. Nan was delicious. Pori was crispy and over done Papadum ( their appetizer/starter) has uncooked spots "Vegetable bhaji" or vegetable fritters is misnamed. Its actually called Vegetable pakora and was disappointed at this inaccuracy.

I had food catered for a party, Quality and quantity of food, recommendations made by the staff, timely delivery and most of taste, food was delicious. Try their appetiser shaam savers, a refreshing change although it could pass for a veg main dish.

I liked the decor of this place but even though we asked them not to make our food spicy they did. The service was also poor. We got their vanilla ice-cream for desert and it tasted horrible and had a sand texture with an after taste!

Phenomenal food! Always freshly prepared, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Service is exceptional and always pleasant. These are the reasons why we continue to come back, bring our family, and friends after ten years!

Staff was very friendly. Food was really good. I took my girlfriend out for dinner. We shared a Mix Tandoori platter and chickpea saag. Spices were spot on. Dessert was really good too.

This place is nice and service is good. The food isnt so good. The food is for non South Asians. South Asians will not feel this is a good option for the money spent.
