2ND UPDATE (because I know you are glued to your reviews and cannot resist reading and commenting them): You may call it pandering. I call it respecting others opinions. Its clear that you are unquestionably a hard worker, so am I... but its also clear you cant take a criticism without a Trump-tweet response. Well... maybe now you can since someone --- yours truly --- actually fired back at your nonsensical responses to their criticism. Im very impressed that you didnt chew out Buzz for his true criticism of your outrageous prices (they are actually higher than NY) or to any four-star reviews like how mine initially was. And yes, I do occasionally follow your restaurant out of entertainment of your responses to those who disagree with you. Im glad to see youre handling it better and more like a professional. Cheers! UPDATE: I have modified my rating to reflect the narcissisticly disrespectful response from the owner, which you can read below- not only for my review, but for virtually every review that adds a drop of criticism to their admittedly average BLT or other entrees and services. I can only imagine how many other folks were dissuaded from writing a negative review due to the cyber-insulting rhetoric from the owner --- a shameful method of keeping high ratings by hawkishly stalking negative consumer reviews. As a small business owner myself, I understand the importance of constructive criticism in improving every aspect of my services. This gentlemen obviously didnt get the memo and chooses to respond innapropiately in an angry-YouTube-thread-like fashion. Very bad business. I left my original review below, but honestly there are better restaurants with higher ethical codes around the area and will treat you more professionally both inside and outside the establishment: Luigis Pizza, Himorshee, etc. To quote the owner from his own scathing response to a previous honest consumer review, "preposterous at best." -Cheers- MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: Good food, but Ill need to give it another chance sometime. First off, I absolutely LOVE how this establishment doesnt accept tips. However, it definitely shows in the food prices. Had the BLT with grits. The ingredients were fresh and delicious (the bread and bacon especially) , but the dish was too simple for me. Ill admit they gave me exactly what I ordered - a BLT. Being the 1st sandwich on the sandwich portion of the breakfast menu, I assumed it was their speciality. Too much mayo for me. If you like grits, youll like these. Very creamy, maybe too much? Also tried my fiancés seafood stew. She enjoyed it very much, especially the mahi. I found the broth too thin and reminded me too much of vegetable soup (maybe thats what some would expect?). Peter was great. Highly efficient and very attentive waiter. He reminded me of a more European style to waiting - very much to the point and slightly dry at times. They should consider either expanding or relocating. We were there on a Tuesday at lunch hour and the restaurant was near full. Cant imagine what Sunday is like. I wasnt as impressed as other restaurants that had comparable ratings, but Im open-minded and want to try it again before reaching a final verdict.

We are passing through FLL to visit family after returning from a working vacation home to the VI, where things are costly and we now have to be careful with spending.. my sister googled breakfast spots and discovered O-B House, serving breakfast all day (yay, for finally sleeping in and moving slow). No one looked at the menu until being seated, when my she said, "Im so sorry- I didnt realize this was so expensive." The front of the menu had already grabbed my attention, as it said "No gratuities," and there was a story printed on the cover.. I decided I wanted to read the story before looking at the prices. I was impressed and it was refreshing to be at a restaurant that was so committed to maintaining the highest standards, from their water (purified by reverse osmosis), to the cage- free eggs and grass-fed beef, and using locally grown ingredients as much as possible. My family drinks raw milk and never thought I would find anything close in a restaurant (theirs is local and low-pasturized). I was blown away over and over, as i read this story.. Because they warn and are unapologetic about their prices upfront- in order to deliver (real) food, refusing to compromise/lower their standards- I began to feel nervous. I opened the menu and silently gasped. These were fine dining prices. :/ I had already decided that I wanted to eat there because I have similar values regarding food and nutrition.. so I reminded myself of this opportunity and that I did not have to try to come up with tip money. I brought $50 with me because I didnt have change and, in the end, I decided that I wanted to sample as many things as it would buy, and that it was the best $50 Ive ever spent. It was amazing to be in a restaurant and know I could feel good about the food and not feel guilty about compromising my own standards. I need to mention that our waitor, JEFFREY, truly made the experience.. picture a very tired mom in her 70s and her two tired daughters (working vacation, remember), each concerned about being frugal toward the end of an expensive trip. Jeff was so patient with us as we tried to decide. He was positive, helpful, understanding, accommodating, knew the menu well, and just really delightful- thank you so much. :) He reassured us that it was okay to eat well and not to feel guilty about not leaving a tip since we had to be careful. O-B House does a great job of taking that pressure off so that patrons spend their money on truly good, real food- food that they are proud to serve. I love it there and will plan ahead for it- a special "me" treat- when we pass through again, and I will have a tip for Jeff next time; not because I have to, because I want to!!!!!

I am adding this after posting my review and after reading all the other reviews from people who had really bad experiences...read em before you choose this place. READ DOWN THE LIST OF REVIEWS. THERE ARE QUITE A NUMBER OF REVIEWS THAT REFER TO THE OVERT RUDENESS. FOOD & PRICE ARE ONE THING, BUT LACK OF CONCERN FOR PATRONS EXPERIENCE AND RUDENESS MAY WANT YOU THINKING TWICE. THERE IS PLENTY OF GOOD FOOD OFFERED BY PLACES THAT CARE AND ARENT NASTY. Forget the food. The service could not have been worse. The gentleman who seated us and the waitress that (tried to) serve us were great. The kitchen screwed up royally and the management could not have been less caring or ruder. Three (3) of us, one with extreme dietary restrictions who ordered a well done omelette and was informed that the kitchen "doesnt do well done omelettes" in fact "they are runny". With limited options on the menu a burger was ordered; no cheese, no bread medium and salad olive oil on the side. The waitress said that in fact medium is the way the kitchen prepares burgers. My other friend ordered a burger with mushrooms and dressing on the side. I ordered a BLT. An hour later later, after at least four (4) other tables seated after us got their food, some of which were gone before we ever got ours. After several "whats going on" questions, we got a beyond well done burger (I am talking shoe leather dry) and no olive oil, the other burger came with onions not the ordered mushrooms and no dressing. My BLT was so soaked in mayo and I wound up eating almost none of the bread (one positive post...the tomatoes were fabulous). Upon leaving I stopped to very calmly and politly point out what transpired to the manager, his response was, "So, I guess you arent coming back" with as cold a look as possible. Unquestionably letting me know he simply didnt care. Be forewarned; The management doesnt care whether you enjoy yourself or what you think. The ridiculous amount of wait time and the screwed up order were secondary to the overt rudeness of the prick running the place. I hope ownership reads these things...
