I went to this place with my family and some friends .. yes the food was good and service was also good . The problem is their some sort of male host who takes you to table . He was a tall guy and he stands at the gate to receive guest . FYI this was my first visit . So here what happend we had our midnight feast enjoyed with our family and kids , and requested for the check . The waitress brought the check we paid cash plus tip and walked out of the restaurant and started walking towards our car. The moment I reached the parking I heard this tall tough guy you " you guys havent paid for your food " you need to come back and pay . I said very respectfully that I have paid and the money is on the table with the check. He do not want to listen to me and keep on saying no you havent paid and you need to come back in the resturant blah. Blah ..by this time my wife was really upset with this situation and I was feeling really embarrassed with this some customer hounding collection agent . The moment my wife start walking towards the resturant we saw an elederly gentleman who sits in the main counter I noticed came running out with another waitress I believe , and started telling this guy no they have paid they have paid . My wife looked at this guy and he was like next time when you come you have to pay at the register which my wife loudly responded their will be no next time . This arrogant guy was very disrespectful and he insulted us and we really felt harassed without them throughly checking their internal situation. I will not say the place is bad or the food was bad . Yes the resturant ambiance was great parking was adequate and of course the staff was friendly except this thank less person . I would strongly suggest to Peter Pan management please take a strict action against this person and if possible start him all over again and put him to clean dishes . Things do happen sometimes ,we were never told by the server that we were suppose to pay on the resgister if she would have told me I would be more than happy to go their and pay . I just paid on the table and was accused by this pretending to be tough guy that I am running away with out paying . Again that person does not represent Peter Pan diner or its comittment towards its client s but I took it very embarrassing and shamefull my 10 year old son was standing with me and he insulted me infront of my son. The best part about all the situation is that he never apologized . Very bad and shamefull . I am very sad of this experience today that after having such a great time at this famous resturant my night has to end that way . Yes they have lost one of your clients for sure today .

We used to go to this diner almost 1-2 times per week. The staff is usually very friendly, but really not managed correctly. The food has been more miss than hits, coming out under-cooked, dried up and reheated, and mixed up orders. On one occasion, I had actually got sick once from the salad dressing, guess it was left out too long in the back. We decided for lunch to try it again since we havent been there in quite sometime. Our waitress kept forgetting and mixing up the order. Real simple; one wanted an omelette with fries, she came back to the table after a bit and asked again whether he wanted fries or homefries. When the order finally came out...you guessed it, homefries instead of what he wanted french fries. My order was a gyro platter which was a full plate of lettuce, VERY dried up meat like it was reheated a few times and a bit tough with a little bit of french fries. I sent mine back and didnt eat as I never send food back if its not done right the first time. Ive seen and heard too many stories in restaurants. I also asked our waitress 3 separate times how much a full pie that I wanted to order for Thanksgiving was, and she kept forgetting to get back with me saying she forgot each time. I finally got my answer when we left to pay from the cashier. After the food experience I decided not to order one from here. The table was sticky as was the booth, and the floors dirty. This place has seen its day and people can tell its not been remodeled in way too many years, with ripped booths, chipped formica booths all over, and the place is just not clean. Perhaps they need to call Dave Ramsey from restaurant impossible to put them back on the right path on how to run a restaurant. We will not be going back there at least until they clean the place up, if they do at all.

Peter Pan is one of Fort Lauderdales and Oakland Parks best kept secrets. All the locals know it, It is a big restaurant, it has been around forever, its always busy, but yet it still has this small hometown feel to it. The food is Greek, but they also have the best American comfort food. Its a wonderful place to grab a bite to eat anytime of day or night with family or friends. And its a great place to make friends. As I said before, the food is wonderful. But its the service that makes all the difference!. The minute you walk in the door, you are greated by Geronimo ( Who isnt too hard on the eyes ), Dia (with a heart of gold.) or Effie (Who has a great smile and a kind word for everyone.) to the waitstaff. Barbara who treats you like family the moment she meets you, She must be psychic, because she knows what you want to order before you even open the menu. Summer who has the greatest sense of humor. Lana, Austin, and even Chris back in the Peter Pan lounge bar area. It really is a family restaurant. Regardless of your race, color, gender, sexual orientation. You feel so very welcome to be there. I cant cook to save my life, and there are restaurants much closer to home. But I go out of my way to go there, and truthfully,! I eat there 4-5 times a week. It fits into my budget perfectly as well. I cant recommend this place enough. Jeremy

Dinner Saturday April 27, 2013 @ 5:00 PM - Seated promptly in booth, went to restroom to wash hands - NO PAPER TOWELS, stood outside waiting while Waiter chatted...waited more dripping....Mgr/Sup brought me napkins...Asked Waitress if End Cut of Prime Rib available - answer - NO (mind you it is just now 5PM and on menu as special) Order off Early Bird Menu - Waitress asks if we want Early Bird? No I would prefer to order Ala Cart and toss money away - No bread served with Soup & Salad until asked for - getting refills on Ice Tea also a challenge for our Server - I think that we got the "bad apple" as all of the other Servers seemed happy and attentive. Food was EXCELLENT - Chicken Parm & Eggplant Parm outstanding - still not clear on the no end cut of Prime Rib so early? I have eaten here countless times and enjoy it very much. One suggestion, monitor Servers, and rather than yacking prior to the rush have them attend to bathrooms and ensure supplies are good, and also dust the wood blinds (sat in first row directly facing Cashier in 3rd booth. Again hats off to the food, but the Service needs work!
